More language absurdities: It's no longer politically correct to use the term "illegal alien" in the USA. The new, more acceptable term is "undocumented immigrant." You'll notice that all new terminology such as this does only one thing - it obscures the truth.
More Israeli absurdities: There's a story going around that students at the Diaspora Yeshiva were attacked Friday night by Arabs from Silwan who were armed with rocks. According to this story, they broke down the door, which led the unarmed yeshiva students to hurl everything at hand to scare the Arabs off - including the cholent, which oddly seemed to work! But, as if that were not absurd enough, the rosh yeshiva reportedly reprimanded the students, admonishing them to "restrain" themselves and to "remain composed." I don't know if this is true or not, but if so, it makes the residents of Chelm look like geniuses. (Story confirmed)
It's absurdity taken to the nth power that our shock and outrage at the wanton murder of our three boys was hijacked by the murderers and turned into THEIR rage and calls for revenge over one of their own.
How absurd is it that this morning, the US is expressing its concern over the beating of a "Palestinian-American" boy by the IDF while Naftali Fraenkel was abandoned to his fate by his native country?
I'm sure you can think of many more instances of absurdity. It seems to define this time period just before Mashiach. Feel free to share them in the comments.
