What Might This Astronomical Data Portend?

Rhetoric and war preps between Israel and Iran/Hezbollah have ramped up yet another notch.  And yet again, Israel has bombed airport runways in Syria.  Keep eyes open for the Super Blue Moon* on 14/15 Elul (Aug 30/31).

*Long-term readers of this blog have no doubt seen one or more of my accounts about the dream I had in 2005 in which Iran attacks Israel at the full moon.  For those who have not seen it, I am reproducing it here just in case the time of its fulfillment has actually arrived. 

What gives me most pause at this time is the strength of this particular Super Moon and the fact that it will be accompanied by a very "bright star."  The following comes from a 2006 email to a friend.

...I'd like to share a very significant dream I had in late March / early April 2005:

It was night time and I was in a high place overlooking the coastal plain. I could clearly see the city lights from Ashkelon all the way to Haifa. In the area of Tel Aviv-Herzliya, the lights formed a grid of Stars-of-David. Something bright in the corner of my left eye caught my attention and when I looked, at first, it was a star and then it was the full moon with wings and it was hovering. As I looked at it, a death's head (skull) spread across it's face as if it was turning from facing the west to look at me. Suddenly it shot off in the direction of the coast, moving from east to west and the words "Death comes from the sky" entered my mind.

A woman came along and told me we had to quickly get into shelters underground and I went down a ladder into a hole in the ground, but I felt that it would be safe there.

The interpretation which I understood upon awakening (as written to a friend 4 April 2005):

The high place where I am protected is Jerusalem. The connection between the Stars of David and TA-Herzliya is this---stars of David are the traditional symbol for the modern secular state of Israel and their connection to the TA-Herzliya area is obvious. (TA represents Israeli materialism and abandonment of G-d; the secular state that wants to be like all the other nations. It is where the Defense Department is located from where Israel's wars are managed, signifying reliance on military might. Jerusalem is its opposite---Jewishness as opposed to Israeliness; spirituality and clinging to G-d.)

The "flying from east to west" indicates that the danger is coming from the east. It is a missile attack---missiles will rain down from the sky. It could be from Arabs in the cities of Shomron, but my sense was that it would be Iran---Iranian missiles.

The moon is indicating the time of the attack---the full moon.

As you can see from the NASA video linked above with the red asterisk, this Super Moon comes at the moon's absolute closest approach to earth, putting extra pressure on the crust.  At the same time, Earth is in conjunction with Saturn and the Sun, per the Video embedded above, creating extra risk of earthquakes.  We already talked about the "need' for something to occupy the United States when we go to war with our enemies so that they do not intervene to assist our enemies.  In addition to these two stressors, the Gulf Coast of the United States is also going to be experiencing a large hurricane on these same days.  Just be aware that there is a risk and if you have not yet begun your Elul preparations (i.e. teshuvah) for Rosh Hashanah, don't delay further.

...From ancient times, these have been days of reconciliation between God and Israel.  When Israel committed the sin of the golden calf and the tablets of the Law were broken, Moshe ascended the mountain and pleaded for divine mercy and forgiveness.  God acquiesced, telling him (Shemos 34:1):  Fashion two tablets like the first ones.  Moshe ascended the mountain on Rosh Chodesh Elul and stayed there for forty days, until the tenth of Tishrei.  On the tenth of Tishrei he brought down the second tablets from the mountain, those which God had given Israel willingly and joyfully.  This forty-day period - between Rosh Chodesh Elul and the tenth of Tishrei - was fixed for all generations as a time of reconciliation, a period of repentance and forgiveness.

Although true repentance is always accepted, the days of Elul are especially suited for repentance, for during this period Divine mercy is aroused and God's hand is outstretched to welcome those who return to Him.   (The Book of Our Heritage by Rabbi Eliyahu Kitov)

It's Their Turn Now

Awaken, awaken, arise, Jerusalem, for you have drunk from the hand of the Lord the cup of His wrath; the dregs of the cup of weakness you have drained. ...So said your Master, the Lord, and your God Who shall judge His people, "Behold, I took from you the cup of weakness; the dregs of the cup of My wrath - you shall no longer continue to drink it. And I will place it into the hand of those who cause you to wander, who said to your soul, 'Bend down and let us cross,' and you made your body like the earth and like the street for those who cross." (Yeshayahu 51.17, 22-23)

And we are still doing it!!  We are still letting them walk all over us!!

A Jewish shepherd in mortal danger fights to defend his life from a mob of Arab attackers, one of whom forfeits his own life in the process.  According to the United States, he is a "terrorist" on the same level as the Arab who took a weapon and went to wantonly murder Jews in Tel Aviv. His friends and neighbors who came to his aid were also declared to be "terrorists" as well as "extremist settlers."

US draws equivalence between Palestinian terror, settler violence

The State Department Near Eastern Affairs account on Twitter sent two statements within seconds about the weekend’s violence.

“We strongly condemn [Friday’s] terror attack by Israeli extremist settlers that killed a 19-year-old Palestinian,” the State Department wrote first. “The US extends our deepest sympathies to his family [and] loved ones. We note Israeli officials have made several arrests and we urge full accountability and justice.”

Immediately after, the State Department added: “We strongly condemn [Saturday's] terrorist attack in Tel Aviv that killed 1 [and] wounded 2 others, as well as other recent terrorist attacks against Israelis. We express our deepest condolences to the victims’ families [and] call for an end to these acts of violence [and] incitement to violence.”

The Erev Rav regime acted quickly to appease their master and jumped to arrest the victim of a near-lynch while still in his hospital bed.  And they have the gall to call it "justice"!!  There is no bigger hypocrite-nation in the world than the United States of America.  Every time I think to list their crimes, I'm overwhelmed by the sheer vastness of it.  Where to even begin?  I'll try to focus on what's right in front of us at the moment. 

Netanyahu to Biden: Israel won’t advance more settler housing plans in 2023

The Biden administration has been sharply critical of the accelerated settlement activity that has occurred under Netanyahu, including policy changes that have fast-tracked the approval process.

Israel doesn’t plan to advance any more plans for West Bank settler homes this year, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US President Joe Biden when the two men spoke on Monday evening.

He also clarified that Israel won’t be authorizing any more outposts this year.

Security forces demolish homes in illegal West Bank outpost

...Since far-right Religious Zionist Party leader Bezalel Smotrich was appointed as a minister in the Defense Ministry, forces were instructed by the government to avoid removing illegal outposts on the West Bank.

...The settlers said they were shocked that Smotrich opted to "wage war" against their settlements. "These serious events are an addition to the blood libel against our heroic settlers who were defending themselves," the settlers said in a statement. "After lies from the IDF spokesman were exposed, having adopted the Palestinian account of the events in Burka, the military is now exacting its revenge, as the charges brought to the courts were being refuted," they said.

You see how obvious it is?  The "master" speaks and these fearful, faithless accommodators rush to appease them.  

G-d knows (Yes, He most emphatically does know!) what Washington is cooking up with Saudi Arabia.

Saudis Seek to Reboot Temple Mount’s Status Quo With Peace Deal

The timing was not accidental when Saudi Arabia announced over the weekend that its ambassador to Jordan will also take on the roles of ambassador to the Palestinian Authority and consul general in eastern Jerusalem.

The announcement came days after the Wall St. Journal reported that the US and Saudi officials have agreed on the general outlines of an agreement to normalize relations with Israel.

Although the idea of a Saudi consulate for the Palestinian Authority in eastern Jerusalem was quickly shot down by Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen on Sunday, Saudi and Palestinian Authority officials who spoke to the Tazpit Press Service said, “The Saudi move is an indication of the possibility of an agreement to normalize relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia soon and is a signal to the entire region.”

But Saudi and Palestinian Authority officials also told TPS, “Saudi Arabia wishes to signal to Jordan that it considers itself entitled to set foot in the Al Aqsa Mosque in east Jerusalem, which would make the crown prince and the Al Saud dynasty responsible for the 3 holy places of Islam: Mecca, Medina and Al Aqsa.”

Saudi sources stressed to TPS that the religious issue is critical in the eyes of the Saudi royal palace, which must deal with a large group of Saudi princes and dignitaries who do not look favorably on Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s pivot towards the West.

For several years, Saudi Arabia has been signaling to Jordan that it intends to replace Amman as custodian of the Jerusalem’s Temple Mount.

For this entire year, since Rosh Hashanah 5783, the US mainland has been hit with wave after wave of storms from coast to coast, record-destroying, life-destroying, property-destroying wind and rain and floods and fires, town-burying snow to flesh-burning heat. Almost a full year of literally DAILY warnings and still they don't stop. Instead they get even worse. The only reason we are still suffering is because we refuse to separate from the Erev Rav and from the West's control and it's ill-named "values".

The "cup" is no longer meant for us. It's their turn now. If we are still feeling the effects, it's because we are attached to those to whom it has passed.

I think Saudi Arabia is not Jordan.  I think Saudi Arabia will ban all non-Muslims from the Temple Mount once this regime hands it over to them on Washington's orders.  It will look like we're going backwards rather then forwards, as most people have perceived the ever-growing free access to this Holiest of Places.  

Whereas I was thinking that the war was coming next, now I think maybe the plan might be to publicize this Washington-brokered deal with Saudi Arabia first, before the outbreak of war in order to completely demoralize us and make us think the geulah is still very far off.

...Just before the war that we are all waiting for - the one which will finally free us of foreign domination and control - the one where we get full control of the Temple Mount back into our hands under the leadership of Mashiach ben Yosef who won't be "handing it back" to anyone else and who will no longer heed the outraged outcry of Washington.

Rosh Chodesh Elul is almost upon us - a month to Rosh Hashanah 5784!  May HKB"H inspire us to do complete teshuvah with the greatest amount of mercy possible!!

 The dilemma of a preventive Israeli strike on Hezbollah

Hezbollah’s provocations on the Lebanese-Israeli border continue, while deeper within Lebanon, the Iranian-backed terror army continues to amass a monstrous arsenal of some 200,000 rockets, mortar shells, missiles and drones. Hundreds of these threats are capable of targeting strategic sites within Israel.

...“Iran is at the core of [Hezbollah’s] regional activities, and these activities also involve Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza. Israel is not interested in a clash that turns regional. This is the heavier threat hovering over us,” [Col. (res.) Shaul Shay, a former deputy head of the National Security Council of Israel and an ex-intelligence officer at the Israel Defense Forces’ Southern Command] said.

Such a conflict could involve Hezbollah in Lebanon, spread to Iranian-backed militias and Hezbollah in Syria, and drag in the Palestinian arena, he cautioned.

War! It's being trumpeted throughout the world. War between Ukraine and Russia, NATO and Russia, China and Taiwan, China and the US, Poland and Belarus, North Korea, Iran, Africa against the West, and all the countries taking sides. Russia, the US, Iran and who knows who else are in Syria together. Israel is facing an enemy on every border and beyond, including an internal battle that is being touted more and more as a "civil war". Where is it all leading?

First some background.  Following are excerpts from previous blog posts:

(1)  Rabbi Nachman Kahane refers to it as "the only authentic holy trinity": Eretz Yisrael, Am Yisrael and Torat Yisrael.

These three components are repeatedly emphasized as the sides of the triangle representing God's interest in this world.

They are even alluded to in Breishit 26:3-5 where God renews the Abrahamic covenant with Yitzchak ...

"Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you, and I will bless you, for to you and to your seed will I give all these lands, and I will establish the oath that I swore to Abraham, your father." (Land)

"And I will multiply your seed like the stars of the heavens, and I will give your seed all these lands, and all the nations of the earth will bless themselves by your seed,...." (People)

"...Because Abraham hearkened to My voice, and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My instructions." (Torah)

The Chaftez Chaim famously said: 

"‘After this war [WW1] there will be a pause and then there will be another war [WW2] and then another pause. Then, there will be another war [WW3] and with that war the Mashiach will come…the last war will be the beginning of the redemption,....

The Three Wars of Gog uMagog correspond to these three aspects of Israel. They also correspond to the three exiles...

WW1 - Eretz Yisrael - Babylon (Bavel)

From the Jewish perspective, what was the most significant outcome of WW1? It had to be the transfer of power over Eretz Yisrael from Yishmael (Ottoman Empire) to Eisav (British Empire). This has been viewed as a very positive outcome, but was it really?  The British Mandate imposed harsh restrictions on the Jewish Return to Eretz Yisrael.  First whittling down the area of land allotted to us and then cutting off immigration altogether. ...significantly, the exile of Bavel was primarily about removing us from Eretz Yisrael.

WW2 - Am Yisrael - Persia (Paras)

No one can deny that the focus of WW2 was on Am Yisrael as one-third of the world's Jewish population was extinguished in Europe. The parallel with Haman's decree of annihilation also cannot be overlooked.

WW3 - Torat Yisrael - Greece (Yavan)

Now, we arrive at today and we can see clearly that there is a very severe war being waged on the Torah of Israel. That's how we can know without a doubt that we are already in the third war of Gog uMagog; although the military aspects of these wars must also be acknowledged.

The Greek war against Torah

• Translated the Torah into Greek.
• Forbid the Jews on pain of death to observe Rosh Chodesh, Shabbat, and brit milah, as well as the learning of Torah. 
• Promoted Hellenistic Judaism - a hybrid religion combing traditional aspects of Judaism with Greek thought and culture.

This WW3 War on the Torah is being carried out with the same goal today, but in reverse measures.

• The New Testament is handed out in Hebrew and Yiddish translation.
• Christians in their masses are learning Torah and 'observing' mitzvot, including Shabbat, etc.
• Judeo-Christianity is the new hybrid religion "breaking down the walls" and "building bridges" between Jews and Christians so as to create "One New Man from the two."

Annihilation through assimilation - a "soft" weapon of mass destruction (WMD), but just as effective.

(2)  ...[T]he Other Side inspired an "UNholy Trinity" to parallel Rav Nachman Kahane's "Holy Trinity" as follows:

* The Land of Israel vs. The State of Israel

* The People of Israel: The Jews vs. The Israelis

* The Torah of Israel vs. Universal Torah/Universal Judaism

You can see already that the former is exclusively for Jews while the latter is a mixture of Jews with Gentiles.

We see also among the Christians who are coming to connect with Jews, that they do so through the State, the Settlers, the IDF, and organizations promoting the Temple as a "House of Prayer for All Nations" and who uphold the right of Jews AND Christians to ascend the Temple Mount.

Within this larger context, there are three wars of conquest that take place within Eretz Yisrael.

(3)  There is an amazing prophecy in the Book of Yeshayahu that comprises only one pasuk, but which may very well describe what I call a "messianic war."  To my mind, a "messianic war" is defined as one which brings us closer to the fulfillment of our destiny and includes the restoration of Jewish sovereignty over significant parts of our land.

For instance, the War for Independence in 1948 was the first so-called Messianic War.  It brought us sovereignty over the Land of Israel once again after almost two-thousand years of exile.  The Six Days War of 1967 was the second Messianic War.  It restored Jewish sovereignty over Judea and Samaria and, more particularly, Jerusalem.

Are you beginning to see a pattern here?  It's called "levels of kedushah."  Everyone knows that the Land of Israel has more kedushah than any other land and that Jerusalem is another step up in kedushah from the Land of Israel as a whole.  So, what is the next step up after that?  You got it!  The Temple Mount!

It should be clear to all by now that despite the words of the revered General Mordechai Gur, a"h - "Har Habayit beyadeinu!" - it's really not.  

Therefore, the Third Messianic War should give us complete sovereignty over the Temple Mount and result in the eventual construction of the Third Temple.  So, is this Third Messianic War really described by the Prophet Yeshayahu?  It begins in chapter 11 and identifies the time period as being when "He will gather in the dispersed ones of Judah from the four corners of the earth."  Unlike in Yeshayahu's own time when we were divided into two kingdoms - Israel and Judah - we will be united as one people upon the land and then,...

They will fly in unison against the Philistine (Palestinians) to the West (Gaza), and together they will plunder the people of the East ('Palestinian Territories'); their hand will extend over Edom and Moab, and their discipline over the Children of Ammon (Jordan). (Yeshayahu 11:14)

If I have understood correctly, The Third Messianic War will begin with the re-conquest of Gaza and will ultimately end with our occupation of Jordan.  We can easily imagine how this could happen even today as some unexpected occurrence in the current conflict in Gaza expands to rioting in the 'West Bank' and moves on to Jordan where a reported 75-80% of the population identifies as "Palestinian."  That country becomes destabilized and the kingdom falls and...Israel must rush to fill the vacuum.

With the Jordanian WAKF out of the picture, we will have complete sovereignty over the Temple Mount restored and we will yet again be in possession of more land area, as happened in 1967.  This will also fulfill a promise made by the Prophet Yirmiyahu...

And I will return Israel to its abode, and he will graze in the Carmel and in the Bashan; and in Mount Ephraim and in the Gilead his soul will be satiated. (Yirmiyahu 50:19)

Carmel and Mount Ephraim are on the west bank of the Jordan River. Bashan and Gilead are on the east bank of the Jordan River. See also...

...days are coming - the word of Hashem - when I will make the alarm of war heard in Rabbah [capital] of the Children of Ammon; it will become a heap of ruins and its surrounding towns will be burned down in fire; then Israel will inherit its inheritors, said Hashem. (Yirmiyahu 49:2)

I believe that HKB"H intends to mire the nations down in wars amongst themselves (WW3) while the Erev Rav regime fails (during the mass attack orchestrated by Iran), allowing Mashiach ben Yosef to arise and lead this third war of conquest.  Therefore, it is for this that we wait.  And it can begin at any moment.  The stage is set for the outbreak of this third war of conquest, which will see our surrounding (and internal) enemies defeated, the entire Land of Israel under our control, and the Temple Mount restored to our sovereignty, such that the building of the Third Temple can commence.

However, that still won't be The End, but it will be a very great improvement and it will herald The End.  All that will be left to usher in the Messianic Kingdom under Mashiach ben David is the final battle of Gog uMagog, where the nations which have survived WW3 attempt to invade Eretz Yisrael to reverse what HKB"H has wrought under the leadership of Mashiach ben Yosef.  (See also Tehillim 2, 83,  Yeshayahu 13, 34, Yechezkel 38, 39, Zechariah 14, Tzephaniah 1)

Will We Achieve Full Clarity This TU b'Av?

I'm posting this a bit early so you won't miss seeing the rising of the "supermoon" tonight.

Tu B'Av Clarifies Tish'a B'Av

According to our Sages, the Mashiach is born on the 9th of Av. This is the day of national mourning over the destruction of the two Temples. The initial tragedy of Tish'a B'Av (the 9th of Av) took place when the spies returned to the Israelites in the desert with a negative report about the Land of Israel. The Israelites accepted their evil words and cried. As their sorrow was actually unfounded, God decreed that the Jewish People would have good reason to cry on this night. The sin of accepting the evil report on the Land of Israel is the source for the destruction of the Temples and all the subsequent sorrows of exile related to Tish'a B'Av.

For the next 40 years, it was decreed on the generation of the desert to die. Every Tish'a B'Av eve, they would sleep in a collective grave. Upon waking in the morning, 1/40th of the people would be dead. On the 40th year, nobody died. The Israelites, thinking that they had possibly miscalculated the 9th of Av, continued to sleep in the collective grave until the full moon on the 15th of Av, when the 9th of Av had clearly passed. Tu B'Av then became a day of celebration. Although the decree had objectively ended on the 9th of Av, this only became subjectively revealed on the 15th of Av.

Clarification of Good from Bad

When Adam and Eve prematurely ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, they created a mixture of good and evil in reality. Ever since, it has been upon their descendants to clarify the good from the evil. When this clarification process is finished, the Mashiach may be born.

Pregnancy is a process of clarification, in which the living fetus is clarified from the impure matter in the womb. Our work of clarification to bring the Mashiach is also similar to pregnancy. Although the Mashiach is ready to be born on the 9th of Av, it is not until the 15th of Av that this is subjectively clear. 

...The 15th of Av is the end of this clarification process.  We can then open our eyes and see the Mashiach born.  (Rabbi Yitzchak Ginsburg)

Two Supermoons In August...

The cosmos is offering up a double feature in August: a pair of supermoons culminating in a rare blue moon.

Catch the first show Tuesday evening as the full moon rises in the southeast, appearing slightly brighter and bigger than normal. That’s because it will be closer than usual, just 222,159 miles (357,530 kilometers) away, thus the supermoon label.

The moon will be even closer the night of Aug. 30 — a scant 222,043 miles (357,344 kilometers) distant. Because it’s the second full moon in the same month, it will be what’s called a blue moon.

...The last time two full supermoons graced the sky in the same month was in 2018. It won’t happen again until 2037....
