3 Marcheshvan 5781
Before I let Rabbi Richter have his say, I just have to put in a plug for a "wonder" of a raincloud. Maybe 5781 really will be a year of "wonders": (Micah 7.15) "As in the days of your exodus from the land of Egypt, I will show it wonders."
Who has ever seen such a thing in Eretz Yisrael?
(TOI) Rogue cloud treats Jerusalem to first surprise shower of seasonA freakishly hot summer in Jerusalem is being capped by a freak rainstorm that has swept across the city, bringing showers and joy to the capital. The rainstorm is freakish not for the time of year — in fact it’s a bit late for the first rain of the season — but because it appears to have come out of nowhere.Forecasts for Tuesday called for unseasonably warm weather and partially cloudy skies. The storm appears to be the result of a single large cloud that sneaked across the city.“One cloud (the sky is clear nationwide) throws off all the models,” tweets the amateur meteorologist behind the popular Yerushamayim weather site, which crashes thanks to the storm.“Fine, you caught me with my pants down. You don’t need to bring down the site,” he adds. The first rain of the season is always an event in Israel, where the dry season lasts from mid-spring until early fall.

Since the Erev Rav ruling regime masquerades as a "Jewish" State while being firmly attached to Edom, it experiences the same fate. Hence, we see here social unrest, economic problems, and instability in the democratic processes. As Edom goes, so goes the State - make way for the Kingdom to come...
If I'm understanding Rabbi Richter correctly, he is saying that it's better for Biden to win because then America will go downhill and that's better for Israel who will ascend. If I understand Rabbi Kessin correctly (in his latest shiur), he feels that Trump will win since Hashem wants him to continue his task of being "hatov she'baEsev".
ReplyDeleteWho do you think is right?
Sari
About that Cloud that concealed a raincloud, it was so amazing that I grabbed my camera to document it. I just posted about it with my photos. Thank you for also noticing the magnificence.
ReplyDeleteSari, it doesn't matter...
ReplyDeleteIt's "for biden"!
Yosef
Sari, I might have missed something but I don't think Rabbi Richter said anything about who should win the US election. I would, however, expect him to say that it is irrelevant who "wins" because Edom's time to rule is up and it is going no place else but down.
ReplyDeleteSee here, here and here.
The truth, I believe, is that Trump needs to win because there are 5 million+ Jews in Artzot Habrit. He, hopefully, and also if the senate and House win, which is also imperative, then he will be able to bring back the freedoms that most Amerians need. Otherwise, there could be revolt. There are many decent and good Americans who don't deserve the other side because it will surely bring not only socialism to the U.S. which has been a medina shel chesed for the last 240 years plus, but to 'fascism', c'v. H' judges everything in its time, so if when Trump wins, things for some reason, do go against the Jews and Yisrael, then judgments turn the other way. But, right not, there is no choice.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous@6:18PM - "Medina shel chesed" is just a nice phrase with no basis in reality. But, now it's imploding just like wicked Rome did and nothing can save it.
ReplyDeleteAnother great shiur from Rav Richter. Not American,so no dilemma about who to vote for. Am hoping for a Biden win to shake up US Jews, ie the frum ones. If Trump wins there will be a collective sigh of misplaced relief. In any case the situation is highly volatile, violence and civil unrest expected on election day, possibly leading to some form of civil war. In addition to internal friction, China and Russia and Iran are all interested in a destablised US.
ReplyDeleteWhat Rav Richter said about Yaakov not walking together with Esav also applies to the dreadful "Abraham Accords", creating the pretense of equality between us and their false religions, and implying the equal right to Eretz Yisrael.
Elisheva, yes.
ReplyDeleteWhoever wins, we pray it will not be as many believe, because, in reality, believe that both parties and most nations are all in on it, meaning the sick agenda of world takeover! This is proof, we pray, that Moshiach is already here and must reveal himself because only he can change the course in which it is going. With the coming of Moshiach Tzdkeinu, the great war of Gog U'Magog plays itself out with the nations coming up against H' and the Bnai Yisrael in our holy EY. The erev rav together with Esav & Yishmael will war against the real Jews, but then Hashem takes over and obliterates all evil, once and for all.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to wish Biden on us frum American Jews so we can be shaken up and suffer more.
ReplyDeleteDo you honestly want to wish suffering on all frum American Jews?? Believe it or not many many Jews here would love to move to Israel but cant for various legitimate reasons. Please dont assume that all of us jews stuck in exile will be forgotten about and only thise in Israel will be redeemed.
No one knows what Hashem plans and no one can judge others and their personal situation.
I agree with the last comment. As much as it bothers me that frum Jews in America refuse to make aliyah for whatever reason, I wish them the best and all the spiritual and material blessings. At least I hope their connection to Israel will be strong from the distance. Even if it's true that both Biden and Trump work for the NWO, nobody in their right mind would think that Trump is not significantly better from a moral and practical viewpoint. He's much better for America, Israel, frum Jews and the entire world. Everything is in the hands of Hashem anyway. However, any Jew (specially frum) who votes Democrat will have a SERIOUS problem when they go up to their trial in shamaim. It's ASUR to support the enemies of Hashem. DemoRats promote abortion, abomination and crime, not to mention many of them want to hurt Israel (even if Biden is technically a "friend" and won't revert the good actions taken by the Trump administration vis-a-vis Israel, he will probably reinstate the dangerous nuclear deal with Iran and remove the sanctions). Rabbi Mizrachi also talks about this, and so did rabbi Miller z"l during the Nixon era. No, it's absolutely NOT the same to support Trump or Biden. If you don't want to vote, don't go to vote. It's not commanded by the Torah. But if you do, you know what's the right thing to do.
ReplyDeleteDo you really think that I want Jews to suffer? I want Jews to wake up and make aliya and put an end to their suffering. The US is in a volatile situation, regardless of who wins. The American left is not going to take a Trump win lying down. But a Trump win will lull the frum Jews into a false sense of security. Biden will encourage them to wake up. As for the challenges of making aliya, I have written ad nauseum that this aliya must be a concerted effort precisely to assist Jews in vulnerable situations. Not the only one, but one of the principal challenges of aliya is parnasa. Whilst there are individual Jews who are not wealthy, the Jewish community as a whole is. It only takes a few billionaires together with the Israeli government to make this work. It wouldn't be the first time that there was an organised mass aliya in challenging circumstances. What is missing is the leadership.
ReplyDeleteMy impression is that most frum Jews, including rabbonim, are not interested in aliya, and see Israel as only the absolute last resort. "Gd forbid it should come to that". I have heard strong Torah rabbis online telling people not to make aliya, and influential bloggers write that none of the negative predictions have come to pass. I have to shake my head in disbelief. Social decline, skyrocketing antisemitism and general violent crime, ineffective or non existent policing, record release of prisoners, international instability, ( https://www.lowyinstitute.org/publications/global-order-shadow-coronavirus-china-russia-and-west - it's long but worth the read, at least the exec summary and intro), oh and the corona, manufactured or not, has thrown the whole world into crisis. How much more dire, chalila, does it have to become?
This article describes the experience of living in a society (Sri Lanka) in collapse.

"Collapse is just a series of ordinary days in between extraordinary xxx, most of it happening to someone else. That’s all it is."
Jews need to wake up (that is what I meant by shake up, maybe you understood something different). I never said who will or won't be redeemed. But we have to do our part. Yes, everyone according to their situation, but even someone with a challenging situation can take steps, howver small, towards their aliya.
Anonymous@10:39AM: "...nobody in their right mind would think that Trump is not significantly better from a moral and practical viewpoint. He's much better for America, Israel, frum Jews and the entire world. "
ReplyDeleteI assure you that I am very much in my right mind and I disagree with you. "From a moral and practical viewpoint," the two extremes (Rep and Dem) are equally immoral and equally destructive. It's the nature of "Rome" to be so. America itself, regardless of who leads it, is very, very BAD for Israel and for anybody else in the world who does not want to BE America.
