5th Candle of Hanukah

Last Wednesday night, the fourth candle of Hanukah, Shaul Nir and his wife Rachel were returning home after visiting grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their daughter Livnat's home when their vehicle came under a hail of forty bullets from Arab terrorists. The long road to the yishuv had recently been re-opened to Arabs by the IDF.

Unfortunately, the experience was not new to Livnat whose former husband Netanel Ozer, Hy"d was murdered in front of his family after answering a knock at the door as they sat down for Shabbat dinner one Friday night in Kiryat Arba a few years ago. Her mother Rachel will survive, but her father Shaul is "in a bad way". He is known by those who know him well as a "Tzadik" and "a modern-day Maccabee".

This is a special request for heart-felt prayers especially on behalf of Shaul Chai ben Aviva whose life is still in danger and also for his wife Rachel bat Sarah who is recovering in hospital. Please remember them along with all the recovering victims of terrorist atrocities and may we all merit to see the complete and utter downfall of the wicked speedily in our days!

  1. It's heartbreaking, the tragedies that people are forced to endure. I really can't imagine.
Thanks, Devash, for giving us their names. It's very important.
May we only experience and hear good things.

  2. Thank you, Devash and Rav Richter. I will include them in my Tefillot, together with Gennadi Chaim Nota ben Raya Rachel who got stabbed in the heart and lungs in Hevron. Gennadi works with my gardener, and Nati Ozeri, their son-in-law, HY"D, was an amazing farmer in Kiryat Arba, everybody turned to him whenever there were planting questions. He got brutally murdered, I believe it was a false flag: the shabak wanted him dead, because he single-handedly redeemed many plots of land from Arabs; the Arabs were scared of him. He was a Tsaddik too.

This all has to do with Hevron, which our enemies and our enemies within want to continue to give away to our enemies.

We need to pray for the all victims, for all Am Yisrael, and in particular for Hashem's protection in Hevron, Yerushalayim, Shechem, Yehuda and Shomron, all the holy places that our unholy leaders are busy surrendering to our enemies. Chanukah Sameach, Chodesh Tov and Shabbat Shalom.

  3. We, all who have read this post, need to say Tehilim for them and for any of the other names we might have seen that need a speedy Refuah Shleimah! Amen to the speedy Geulah and to the refuah shleimah of all the injured.

Allowing these pere adam to continue their murderous spree is unforgivable. The PM needs to fix this now!

  4. What is the word you write when you have anguish in your soul? While reading our Chanukah lesson and I read this; Vayikra (Leviticus) 24:1-4 HaShem said to Moses, “Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives.. I stopped. I felt crushed, a deep foreboding. My daughter said, "Mom, what's wrong?" I said, "Israel is the olive tree." Now, I read this! Our 'olives' are being pressed! HaShem, have mercy! May these 'pressed olives' these Tsaddiks, bring His Holy Light , soon, in our day! 'Q'
