OBSESSED WITH PROPHECY

11 Sivan 5777

Christians are obsessed with prophecy because their entire false religion is based on the mistranslation or misinterpretation or misrepresentation or misapplication or misunderstanding of prophecy. (That's five 'mis'es in a row! If the definition of sin is "missing the mark", then Christians are experts at it and they are teaching their Jewish "brothers" how it's done.)

This all started (Christianity) with Jews going off the derech following a false messiah, thinking redemption had already come, or they they were gonna make it happen, and here we go again!

It seems like all these Jews so heavily involved with Christians - down to eating and sleeping with them - can't stop talking about prophecy. One can't help but wonder if it's a cynical ploy to curry Christian favor or if it's a true interest. Funny, though, to hear them talk, they seem to be just regurgitating what the Christians are telling them.

Rabbi Tuly Weisz, among his many other projects aimed at bringing Jews and Christians together, has come up with a new idea to sponsor a "first ever" Prophecy In The News Conference where "a group of diverse Jewish and Christian voices who are at the forefront of creating (?) and reporting on what God is doing in Israel " will meet and compare notes.  How nice that it coincides with HaYovel's "first ever" Tour Group, especially since Zac Waller is one of the speakers for the Christian side. The Jewish side is a Hall of Shame. (You can check it out here if you have the stomach for it.)

Since they've been getting it all wrong for 2000 years, I simply can't imagine what these Christians can hope to contribute. And from what I've seen, the Jews there are not doing much better at this point. How many of them quote the phrase "house of prayer for all nations" and say it means every person, regardless of his religion, may go up on the Temple Mount and pray? Let's build a beit knesset up there alongside the mosque and then a church on the other side for the Christians and we'll all sit down and sing Kumbaya together. Whatever happened to "and you shall remove the evil from your midst"?

Taking a verse out of its context is the surest way to misunderstand and misapply it. The Christian missionaries know all about that.

In actuality, the Prophet Yeshayahu (56.6-8) said...
And the foreigners who join with the Lord to serve Him and to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants, everyone who observes the Sabbath from profaning it and who holds fast to My covenant. I will bring them to My holy mount, and I will cause them to rejoice in My house of prayer, their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be acceptable upon My altar, for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.
Rashi - for all peoples: Not only for Israel, but also for the proselytes.
So says the Lord God, Who gathers in the dispersed of Israel, I will yet gather others to him, together with his gathered ones.
Rashi - I will yet gather: of the heathens ([Mss. and K’li Paz:] of the nations) who will convert and join them
And then there's that whole "light to the nations" thing that many Jews are using to make their treachery seem altruistic. Rabbi Moshe Parry explains the Torah and Prophetic vision of Israel as a light to the nations beautifully right here. And it's not what you think.

In reality, I can't see how all these rabbis hope to be a "light to the nations" through interfaith contacts when they tell the Christians that we, the Jewish people, want them to be the best Christians they can possibly be! God forbid!!

So, besides this Prophecy Conference, how many ways can Jews court Christian support? Let Rabbi Tuly Weisz count them...

Helping to create The One New Man through bringing Jews and Christians together. Focusing on the Judeo-Christian values we share while ignoring the vast theological differences that divide us. Setting aside religion and coming together around a shared ideology called Biblical Zionism.

    1. I contacted Rabbi Winston when I saw that and he told me that he was not participating, but it bothers me that they are still advertising him to draw in people familiar with his work.

    2. They’re using his name because of interviews and articles quoting him on BREAKING ISRAEL NEWS. Someone should let him know that’s not the place to be quoted.

    3. Rabbi Winston can sue them. This will stop linking him to their website

  2. Hey, Moshe Parry! A long-time close friend, very good guy. My son set up his weekly Shiur in L.A.! He's got his head in the right place, now his body has to come here too. Soon, B"H.

  3. The conference is livestreaming here. So far, I've heard Glick portray the haskala, zionism, and feminism in a positive light as "movements" that started with the "little people". He indicates this is how the change that God wants comes because the rabbis won't budge. Duh!

    1. Horrible chillul Hashem. That Donna Joally asking for Amen and shouting Hallelu-ah. Parsons from ICEJ talking about his L-rd and saying we disagree on some things but people are looking for the truth and they have to give it to them. Like he would know the truth if it knocked him down. And Jews sitting there while they talk like that. It's just horrible.

  5. Would suggest that real Jews stop reading 'Breaking News' website. It is a christian website, so no rabbi is allowed to be associated with such a 'news' site.

    1. Agreed. People will insist it's not a Xian site since a Jew owns it and Jews work at it, but yes, it is most certainly a Xian website as it is geared primarily to Xian readers and they are given full freedom to hawk their false religion and it's false god throught the comments.
