Nissan to Arrive in Astronomical Splendor

28 Adar 5775

Solar eclipse, Supermoon, Spring equinox: Friday will see three rare celestial events
As the eclipse plunges the UK and other places into darkness this Friday, two other rare if less spectacular celestial events will be taking place, too: a Supermoon and the Spring equinox.
...Eclipses can only happen at new moon, when the moon appears is entirely in shadow. And the spectacular Supermoon images that are often spotted can only happen when the moon is full, since it can only be seen then.
...because the moon is new rather than full on March 20, it won’t be seen. But it will be gliding past us closer than ever, and its shadow will be visible as it blocks out the sun on Friday morning.
...The equinox will also happen on March 20. While it won’t have any discernable, direct impact on how the solar eclipse looks, it will contribute to a rare collision of three unusual celestial events.
On March 20, the Earth’s axis will be perpindecular to the sun’s rays — which only happens twice a year, at the two equinoxes. After that, it will start tipping over, making the days longer in the northern hemisphere.
As such, the equinox has long been celebrated as a time of beginning and renewal, by a number of historic cultures, and is linked to Easter and Passover.
This is all happening on Erev Rosh Chodesh Nissan - the month of geulah.

Hear Rabbi Eliyahu Kin talk about Pesach and Geulah...

"...Pesach is not only a celebration of the past, but an introduction to the future."

  1. It says in the Talmud that a solar eclipse is a bad sign for the entire world. Gog ou Magog soon? Also, on the first night of Pesach, there will be a blood moon lunar eclipse, which according to the Talmud, is a bad sign for Israel. Let's see what happens...

  2. Nissan, the month of nissim (miracles/wonders); the head of the months for the Jewish people, therefore it is referred to as the first month and Tishrei (Rosh Hashanah) is the seventh month of the year. In Nissan, we were redeemed originally (from Mitzrayim) and in Nissan, we will have our ultimate Redemption. May it be! Boruch

  3. Dear Jeremy
Exactly in the time of yetziat mizraim a blood moon also appeared, and that's why pharo let Am Israel go: his astrologs told him that it's a bad sign for them and that they will die in the desert. They didn't know that Israel when practicing the mitzvot is above the mazal and the blood was the sign of brit mila that they accomplished further in the desert. Conclusion: the bad signs are guaranteed for umot haolam but for Israel it is totally reversible from the worse - has veshalom - to the best B"H bekarov! Perhaps because money is also called damim, soon will come Mashiah and with him will disappear all lack of material means, all competition, so we could concentrate on serving G-od in peace, unity and joy! Soon? Immediately B"H!

  4. And I forgot to mention the blood of Korbanot in Beit Hamikdash, this Pessah B"H of course!
