I don't want anyone to miss out on the main post for today which appears just below, ("The Tree of Life"), but I just received a link to the following video which absolutely has to gain wide exposure, so I am placing it here. I've also included it at the bottom of today's post as an "update" and also as a "comment" since it has come late in the day when many people have already visited and others do not necessarily look at the comments. Please share this widely. For normal people, especially Torah-loving Jews, it needs no commentary from me.
I am sorry to say but this unfortunately has become the misguided view of many Jews, especially the ones involved in the interfaith dialogue and piece activism. Many of the members of the Kibbutzim that were attacked were involved in these. It should become apparent that Hamas didn't care that they were trying to help Gazans for a better life, and trying to bring piece between the 2 sides. They were murdered because they were Jews. This is view of the Jewish left that you can somehow build a relationship with the Muslim world and they will love you back has proven to be wrong. The Torah commands we defend ourselves and root out groups like Hamas, whose sole mission is the murder of Jews.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this Devorah, it backs up a theory I am working on. When people are halachically Jewish ie; they were given a Jewish Neshama from their Creator, and choose to rebel, drop all their obligations and become ultra-secular, they develop something which can only be described as a mental illness. Their whole being now becomes focused on showing the world how goyish they are, and how liberal-minded they are, much more than the gentiles around them. All their decisions are no longer normal. As a people watcher I have observed countless examples of this.
ReplyDeleteWhy a mental illness? Why not see it in spiritual terms... as a moral illness?
DeleteBecause they are not capable of making rational decisions, I have seen this several times.
DeleteI like this theory,it would explain a lot.
DeleteThe scenario plays out according to Torah and prophecy. Amalek was never entirely destroyed and the threat of annihilation grows every day. There is no ultimate solution except to focus on the Ikar - it is now a battle of literal survival, no Jew is safe - anywhere.
ReplyDeleteNot true. Every Jew who takes shelter under the wings of HKB"H is as safe as anyone can be. Also, when asked before the Shoah where it was safe for Jews to be, the Chafetz Chaim quoted the prophecy, "On Mount Zion will be refuge."
Deletewe are in big trouble and in a lot of danger with these liberal thinkers....we have been for decades. peace won't come with this kind of thinking...just more dead jews.
ReplyDeleteI think it is becoming very clear that these are the erev rav. The erev rav causes and wants to cause division between Jews. There can be no unison of purpose (to defend ourselves as Jews) if some of "us" (who are not really "us" but rather erev rav) are cheering for the other side... even when they do it deceptively under the guise of "peace". This birur will be more painful than we'd imagined because it will involve people we think of as "Jews" and that we care about because we think they are real Jews... but they aren't; they are erev rav. We want to think that this kind of behavior is a psychological issue (or "mental illness") when really it is a SPIRITUAL issue and a moral illness. This is what free choice is: the ability to freely choose between good and evil. And of course, they will do it subtly with gaslighting and talk about "peace" and how caring they are as human beings. This war if full of deceit and deception. Can it be that while real Jews are crying over these "brethren" and doing teshuva and chesed... that this is Hashem's way of getting rid of the erev rav and exposing their families for what they truly are? Scary to think about... but as is prophesied: "There will be a time of trouble SUCH AS THERE NEVER WAS BEFORE". I think this is part of the birur, as painful as it is. I'm starting to think that Achdus and chesed are for the real Jews... and the erev rav need to be expelled from our nation. We can continue to do kiruv and reach whomever we can... but the ultimate expression of moral free will is which side you choose. When I look at the faces in that video, I don't see Jews. I see calm, dead-eyed erev rav.
ReplyDeleteThis last comment from Deb was spot on!
ReplyDeleteAlso, as far as achdut is concerned, it only concerns real Jews who want the lost ones to return and those who take on the mitzvot are the real Jews; the others who keep fighting us and stand with the enemy even after this catastrophe are, in my eyes, the Erev Rav for sure.
We know that the ones who were the victims this time were mostly all die-hard leftists. This says a lot and I think the above commenter, Deb, said it all; maybe this is a way of cleansing our people of the Erev Rav. This was so horrific that there are no words, but we see how totally evil without even a speck of some kind of human goodness are in these creatures who committed such atrocities; but Hashem had to show the world who these creatures really are and also exposing those 'Jews' still siding with them (birur) even after this horror. We see all over the world the true nature of those who hate us with the protests standing up for violent creatures while demonizing and showing their hatred for Am Yisrael; this is the exposure to the world so that when the time comes for Hashem's Great Awesome Day, the world will know there is only Hashem and the evil ones will be no more. Those who stand up for evil are the same as the barbaric murderers.
This should be a hint to the leaders that the righteous understand their nefarious plans and if they do not obliterate the evil enemy, then they have exposed themselves to everyone also.
But, sadly, it seems, in the end, it will only be Moshiach
who will do H's Will. May he come immediately.
I couldn't bring myself to finish watching this, it's too painful. I just want to say that people's sins do drive them insane. I want also to point out that even the Erev Rav will have the opportunity to do teshuva. We should be davening for every single Jew to do the teshuva he needs to do before Moshiach comes.
ReplyDeleteExcellently stated, Deb. You're spot on! Why people can't see the truth is beyond me. Treachery is the name of the game for the Erev Rav.
ReplyDeleteThat's why they succeeded over the millenia. Time for our real people
to wake up!
Hi Devorah, I wrote a comment here that I think said something important to the above comment, but I'm not seeing it here. Is it because I didn't include a name? Do initials work? It was about even the Erev Rav get a chance to do teshuva at the end of days...TC
ReplyDeleteSorry! It was just delayed.
