FIFTY YEARS LATER

Erev Shabbat Kodesh
Parashat Bereishit - Machar Chodesh

"...And the Lord saw that the evil of man was great in the earth, and every imagination of his heart was only evil all the time.  And the Lord regretted that He had made man upon the earth, and He became grieved in His heart."  (Bereishit 6.5-6)

And here we are again.

When The Powers That Be keep repeating something, we need to perk up and listen because it is often a clue as to what the real agenda is behind their games.  However, not only that, but it can also be a hint from HKB"H as to the secret meaning behind events which has not yet been clarified.  I'll give you an example.

How many times now have we heard the parallel being drawn between what happened on Shmini Atzeret/Simchat Torah and what happened 50 years prior to that - the 1973 Yom Kippur War: "surprise attack", "caught off guard", "intelligence failure".  There most definitely are some interesting parallels even down to the "early warning" from Egypt, or in the case of 1973, the Egyptian.  This tells me that there is an intended connection that we are supposed to notice.

First a quick review.  Remember an earlier post referencing a "Third Messianic War" where I discussed the three ascending levels of kedusha with regard to Eretz Yisrael, Yerushalayim, and Har Habayit.  We got Eretz Yisrael back in our control in the 1948 War of Independence, which I refer to as the First Messianic War.  The second was, of course, the 1967 Six Days War when we reunited Yerushalayim Ir HaKodesh.

As everyone knows, control of Har Habayit was given away, but I think we simply weren't intended to have it back yet.  We weren't ready for it.  I think it was meant to be retaken in 1973.  Didn't you ever wonder why we had these two previous stunning victories which were like open miracles followed by such a bitter humiliation and defeat?

I think after what happened in 1967, the US was determined to limit Israel's gains via her wars and interfered to ensure the outcome they desired.  If we'd had leaders of great faith who put all their trust in HKB"H, the army would not have stopped short of conquering Damascus and Cairo.  In order to save Israel from the bad intentions of the Americans, the US would have to have been taken out of the equation.

From then to now, we never reached a point where we could advance Hashem's agenda because we were all the time sinking ever deeper under the influence of and enslavement to the US and its interests.  I think that now, after 50 years, America has increased her sins, used up all her merits and threatens our existence to the extent that she is ready to be taken off the world stage.  (Interesting side note:  Abortion was legalized in the US in 1973.)

If this current war is destined to be The Third Messianic War, what does that say about the fate of America?  This war has already started in a huge way.  Blinken has been here, Austin is coming, two carrier groups are off our coast with another on the way.  US troops are on Israeli soil.

Arabia goes to Edom and confers about Persia and Persia goes and destroys the world.  I said Persia (Iran) would turn out to be a source of help to us:  "It will be a time of trouble for Ya'aqov but from it he will be saved."  According to the commentary, it is the trouble itself which will save us. I think Iran will somehow totally write America out of history and we will finally be free and clear to (re)conquer all of our land and "Egypt" will no longer be seeking the life of "Moshe," allowing him to become the Redeemer.

Just my ten agarot.

There is a special haftarah this week...

If Rosh Chodesh occurs the day after Shabbat, then the Shabbat is termed Shabbat Machar Chodesh – literally, “tomorrow is the new month”–and has a special haftarah, I Samuel 20:18-42, that relates an episode with David and Jonathan involving the new moon.  (My Jewish Learning)

Here is our own David and Jonathan learning Torah not very far from where David HaMelech grew up.

  1. Every time we regain parts of Eretz Yisrael, we throw them back. Very ungrateful. From 1967 we gave back the Temple Mount. From 1973, we not only gave back the Sinai (which is only ours in the future. Nevertheless,...), and Gaza, which we know at least is the original land granted to us. Gradually, thanks to Netanyahu, pieces were transferred to Arab authorities, including Jericho and Hevron...and Gaza. In the second Lebanon War, we reached the Litani River, which according to conservative sources is the northern border of Asher and Naftali. We gave it back. Fortunately, Bennett was never able to implement his "plan," nor was Trump, both of which included political and/or physical land transfers. The idea that some "Jews" do not want us to succeed is not any conspiracy; it's history.
