Israel: Imprisoned Terrorists Repeatedly Threaten Administrative Detainee

Why is the Prison Service holding administrative detainee Meir Ettinger in a wing with dangerous Arab terrorists who are threatening to kill him?

  1. Thank you for providing Meir's mother's name. I can't believe the depth of the wickedness of his captors, that they would do this to him while the rest of Israel is under attack from the same sort of pere adam.

    2. It's been confirmed. Thank you for the correction! It also confirms what I suspected.

  4. It was straight order from Vatican, to detain Meir. Albert Einstein said, "the world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it." When we keep paying into a system that is controlling every aspect of our lives we silently give our consent to our controllers. Presumptions need to stop looking at it from the perspective of ignorance, but to follow the Torah Law, where an obligation to redeem the captives applies to all. Can you point to me any reputable religious institution, who is voicing protest and trying to bring attention to the matter?

    3. You must not have even bothered to read the article since it clearly states right up front that it is Eshel Prison.

I ask again, to whom will you protest? To what authority are you appealing?

    5. Well, usually when people protest, they are appealing to, or trying to apply pressure to, some authoritative person or body for action of some sort. How many people do you potentially need to make a loud enough ruckus to accomplish your goal? And what isthe goal? Having him moved back to the jewish prison section? Or unconditional release? Or repeal of the use of administrative detention altogether? (That would be my ultimate goal, but it may be too ambitious.)

There are other considerations, too. A demonstration is risky unless it is powerful enough to bring about the desired change. A weak and ineffective public demonstration can actually have an adverse affect on Meir's already precarious situation. Have you thought through that?

Are you prepared to organize the publicity and arrange transportation for the masses who will want to come?

How many from the Israeli public do you realistically think will support this effort since a lot of them already think he is in jail for setting fire to a church and burning to death an Arab family?
