Do you realize that the things the world is "falsely" accusing us of are things that Hashem actually expects us to do? So, when you hear the messengers say "we need to do teshuvah," this is Heaven's way of communicating to us what it is we must do teshuvah for - not establishing a Torah society in all the boundaries of Eretz Yisrael so as to be a light to the nations of the world of how brothers live in peace and harmony and plenty.
Accusation: Israel wants to destroy the mosque and build the Jewish Temple.
Accusation: Israel wants to run out all the Arabs and establish Greater Israel within the Biblical borders.
Accusation: Right-wing-religious Jewish 'extremists' want to make Torah the law of the land.
Accusation: Israel wants to take over and rule the whole world.
In actuality, all of these things are going to come to pass. It is our Divine destiny. The world knows it. Why don't we?

I agree with your premise, but don't think we are quite there yet ... Almost.
ReplyDeletePS I have for many years believed that there were/are messages for us within the negative criticisms thrown our way, but like we read in Eicha, we didn't believe our prophets because of our stubbornness.
