Comfort and Blessing

8 Av 5779
Erev Shabbat Kodesh/Erev Tisha b'Av
Parashat Devarim/Shabbat Chazon

For the second year in a row, we won't be fasting this Tisha b'Av.  That's because it falls out on Shabbat.  Even though it is only postponed until Yom Rishon, it's still a very big deal.  Think about it and say it out loud.  We won't be fasting this Tisha b'Av!

One day, we will say it and it will be true for all time.  Tisha b'Av falling out on Shabbat is like a taste of Days of Mashiach - a bit of comfort and blessing in advance.

For Klal Yisrael, I pray a permanent end to fasting and struggling, pain and despair, and an outpouring of comfort and blessing from the One Above.  May we all together merit out of the abundance of Hashem's mercy to greet Mashiach Tzidkeinu and witness the rebuilding of Hashem's Holy Abode here on earth and may it be speedily and soon, b'ezrat Hashem!!

SHABBAT SHALOM TO ALL!!
