it is to say that we have an opportunity to make it to the good times and this generation is wasting time with all kinds of random nonsense and praying to the golden calf but this is the end. this new years might bring us to that point and that is it. what are your thoughts on what happened on thursday and friday especially with the yeshiva head? we know that they were sacrifices for this lowly generation and the autists are bound to speak on behalf. jack
I think a blog post about "waking up" is an appropriate place to ask this question. In almost all the attacks I have read about, there seems too often to be some connection to relating to the enemy in a non-Toradik way.
In the reports about Rabbi Mark: "...Rabbi Kelmanson added with a touch of bitter irony, that Mark gave assistance to everyone around him, including Arabs he encountered near his home in Otniel.
“Ironically, you will also be missed by the members of the nation your murderers came from, you will be missed by our neighbors whom you helped so much. We will still try to maintain good relations with our neighbors, and we will continue to meet with them.”
...“Mr. President, no one from this town chose the path of terror, and we thank our [Arab] cousins who pulled out our remaining family members [from the car]. [But] if the government doesn’t fight terror and give a sense of security, weak and fearful people are liable to become bad seeds, and commit terrible acts. Not everyone has the strength of the community of Otniel.”
Thank God not everyone has the stupidity of the community of Otniel, but too many still do.
Jewish man from Binyamin brings car for wash in Hizme. Arab man attacks him, steals vehicle. Police ultimately catch perpetrator.
..."Israel Police recommend not entering Palestinian villages in Judea and Samaria, as it could endanger the lives of both civilians and the security forces who come to rescue them," said a police spokesperson. He added that Israelis are forbidden from entering Area A, and that doing so constitutes a criminal act.
We heard the same stories 16 years ago when the second intifada got underway. In all that time, people still haven't woken up to this reality. What is it going to take?
Devash, what an amazing video to share! I thought that this Shabbat's parsha Shelach was a powerful wake up call to everyone - even Hashem's infinite compassion reaches a limit when we refuse to obey his mitzvahs. For us, Baal Teshuva, the key is to keep learning and growing in our observance. If you are still secular and "worshiping the golden calf" rise up to the challenge and do teshuva. If you are observant and just going through the motions, find out what happened to your kavannah and reclaim your heart. Let us all re-tune our internal radios to the pure joy of knowing Hashem and the confidence that He runs the world measure for measure for our ultimate benefit. Ms. AP
Yashar Koach Devash! Your comment here proves that how frum these people think they are, they're going against basic Torah teachings. Something is missing in the minds of so many Yidden. Moishe
Moishe, clarify for us who are not yet aware of ALL the basic Torah teachings, what is it that the people in Otniel did that goes against Torah? Just curious. The price for trusting our enemy who wants nothing but to destroy us was high and i do not think that the common sense lesson was learned. We can do good but beware of who you extend acts of kindness to. Certainly not the enemy. Common sense and survival to me. What does the Torah say? With Appreciation, Ms. AP.
"But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the Land before you, those of them whom you leave shall be barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they will harass you upon the Land in which you dwell. And it shall be that what I had meant to do to them, I shall do to you." (Num. 33:55-56)
There are very few who try to look for the truth but for the rest of population it's covering one layer of lie with another one on daily basis. A layered affect is the means to its usefulness, it creates a cacophony in their heads, that people can not identify. The people lack the scope of logic to understand what is happening to them. The famous quote from Albert Einstein : “If I had an hour to solve a problem and my life depended on it, I would use the first 55 minutes determining the proper question to ask, for once I knew the proper question, I could solve the problem in less than five minutes.”
Thanks Devash. Honest, clearer instructions than this is impossible. If we have not driven our enemy away because of the evils of "political correctness" what do we do as a people? The situation is intolerable and not sustainable. Being like ducks in a shooting range (inside our own land) is a sad state of affairs. Ms. AP

I wonder, will they ever "wake up"?
