For all their secular education, Israeli leaders will never understand the source of their most pressing problems and consequently, how to successfully resolve them. That's because they stem from spiritual roots.
Take the BDS movement and the "new" antisemitism for example. The Israeli government's Office of Strategic Affairs has taken on this battle, but in not understanding the true cause, they are throwing gasoline to put out a fire. The path to resolution of these matters is counter-intuitive. Instead of coming closer to the nations by emphasizing how much we are the same, Israel must distance itself from the nations and maintain its unique status and purpose in the world.
Israel and the nations cannot be "one." It is a physical impossibility as Israel sits on a pinnacle above the rest of the world. It will forever and always be a cut above. It can only come close to the nations by debasing and lowering itself to their level. Israel's mission is to bring the nations up to its current level while it continues to rise up to the next level above.
The nations understand this subconsciously, and their resentment at being forced to remain at their lower level, while Israel plays at being equal, instead of being raised up as G-d intended, is directly expressed through BDS and antisemitism.
This brings up a good point. BDS. How do the REAL Jews that live in Israel and try to elevate themselves, know if the CodePink, IfNotNow, the Leftist Reform, Jews in Name Only crowd have not be influenced by the Neo Nazis or Others on the Dark Side since Nazis did Boycott Jews in the 1930s, supported by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem?
ReplyDeleteHow do we bring Jews that are on the Dark Side into the Light of Hashem and Torah, besides the Baal Teshuvah Movement?
When you figure it out, come back and tell the rest of us. ;-)
DeleteIsn't it a shame that by now, the typical Jew doesn't understand that anti-semitism of any kind is G-D's way of alerting His people to wake up and heed HIS Torah and that the physical suffering and problems all derive from our lack of spiritual health. When we will return to H' and His Torah and do right in His eyes (so to speak), all the evils surrounding us will disappear. Plain and simple.
ReplyDeleteYep.

Is BDS Doing Israel a Favor?
I do believe that focusing our energies on our issues at home, instead of wasting time on co-dependent, love and validation seeking from the "international community" goyim, otherwise known as "hasbarah," then we will be in much better shape, and not just economically, but spiritually as well.
(Besides, it the goyim can't get something so obvious that they wouldn't have a lot of their technological toys, if it weren't for Israel, you should just forget about it already.)
The so-called "right-wing" has been frustrated, and now so is the "left-wing." Maybe on the surface, the BDS Campaign is just another thorn in our side. But, underneath it all, maybe it is giving us the economic kick in the pants we need in order to wake up.
We may have to learn the true meaning of frustration, and as long as we continue on the same, fruitless path, I believe it is going to be more than a little difficult for us. If you believe that Jew-hatred has been getting bad in the world, just you wait!
We are supposed to be a separate and distinct people, yet we have forgotten this. Defending the Arabs, even though they are murdering us, allying ourselves with Christians, even though they want our Land, with or without us, and the general obsession we have with international people-pleasing, wanting to be a nation "just like every other nation," has led us astray from where our focus should actually be, on The Holy One, Blessed Be He and the truth in His Torah.
So, maybe BDS is doing us a favor, doing for us, what we have unfortunately been unable to do for ourselves. After all, it is The Almighty who is in control of everything, including BDS.
