How I See This Playing Out
In the 38th chapter of the Prophecy of Yechezkel, Gog is identified as the head of a country called Magog. Therefore, I find it noteworthy that Jewish sources consistently refer to the final war as "Gog uMagog" - Gog and Magog, as if they are two separate entities.
I also find it noteworthy that there are two Eisav/Yishmael alliances in the world today, one from the Right and one from the Left: America/Saudi Arabia and Russia/Iran. I think it is possible that these are "Gog" and "Magog".
The War of Gog uMgog began with the invasion and massacre at the conclusion of Sukkot 5784 which was orchestrated by the America/Saudi Arabia alliance and it will reach its final conclusion with the invasion at Sukkot 5785 by the Russia/Iran alliance.
These are my own ideas and may or may not play out as I anticipate, but they are based on concepts found in the Tanach, the Gemara, midrashim and commentaries.
The first invasion by Gog forces, supported by the 70 nations of the world, has set the stage for the revelation of Mashiach ben Yosef and will result in Gog's downfall around (I hope) Purim/Pesach 5784. The Erev Rav regime will go down with Gog when it is revealed how deeply they betrayed the Jewish nation. This paves the way for Mashiach Ben Yosef to take power in Israel.
It is likely that Gog's downfall will be the catalyst for World War 3, providing a distraction for the nations of the world while MBY begins the work of preparing us for the final redemption to come with the end of the Gog uMagog War. That comes with the second invasion at Sukkot 5785 by "Magog" - the Russia/Iran alliance. (This is, I believe, what Yechezkel 38 recounts.)
And this is when I expect Mashiach ben David to be revealed.
WW3 will have ended and all the nations who survived will ally with Magog to eliminate the "cause of all the world's problems" - the Jews in Israel - so that peace can finally reign across the globe. The final war of Gog uMagog will be seen as the necessary final solution to finish off war forever.
And so it will be! Be'ezrat Hashem!!

How long do you expect (“predict”) the war that starts during the coming Sukkos to last before Moshiach is finally here?

A distinction needs to be made between the "coming" of Mashiach and the revealing of Mashiach. The meshichim are already here, as I've said several times. Ben Yosef is already at work in the public realm, in my opinion, while Ben David is still a bit hidden. Ben Yosef is "the inaugural messiah" - there are a couple of possibilities and they both became very active after the invasion and massacre. When the war really gets going up north, we should be able to identify someone as a very likely candidate. (No one can lay claim to being Mashiach until he has done all the work and it is proven beyond a doubt.) In my opinion, Ben David could become public at the same time as Ben Yosef, only not as active, since Ben Yosef fights the wars, but may only become public closer to the end of the GoguMagog war or whenever he is anointed as the Messianic King. Is that before or after Armageddon? I don' t know. But if it's not until the end, it won't go past that time. Again, these are my personal opinions.
DeleteTo more directly answer your question, I would not expect the invasion of Russia with their Muslim allies to last long as the Tanach indicates that the very moment they set foot in the Holy Land, HKB"H takes them down -wipes them out completely in a very visible and supernatural way. MBD should be on the scene.
The redemption from Egypt was one year - Nisan to Nisan. The redemption from GoguMagog seems also to be a year - Tishrei to Tishrei (interesting as both months are "heads" of the year). It really would not surprise me if Ben Yosef is revealed at Purim and Ben David already at Pesach. But they will remain mostly hidden while Gog still has the power to stop them. Current events have revealed to the Israeli public how much we are being ruled over by the Eisav in the West. Which means either a great downfall of America and/or the kick-off of WW3 in the next two weeks!! Something has to get them off our backs and render them powerless to interfere any longer in our business!

When there will be no more war and no more suffering of any kind, and we will all be able to serve Hashem with good health and only happiness! And lastly, a world of only holiness as every person and creature on earth will all accept that Hashem is one and will look up to Am Yisrael with tremendous awe!

Agreed. You are right on the prophetic money! 2 wks to MBY then ww3. Nations get theirs, relief here, then sukkot and MBD and then the finale of gog mgog which is Hashem's war...fought civyakel by Him.

For those who keep pounding away at the "Mashiach can come any day" theme, that is no longer true. It was true for thousands of years - "TODAY, if you heed his voice." Well, we missed every opportunity for a spontaneous arrival because the majority of us were never going to "heed his voice." Now, we are locked into geulah b'ita - in it's predestined appointed time, the last possible moment in history and it won't come a minute earlier. The good news is - we're almost there. Hang on!!

The “every day” implies that he can cone any day. I have not heard any gedolim at all say otherwise. Also, b’itoh can be today. No one knows the exact time. Only that it’s very soon!
