THE TIMELESS TORAH - AS TRUE TODAY AS IT WAS YESTERDAY

1 Sivan 5781
Rosh Chodesh
45 Days of the Omer

Bamidbar 33.52-56

...you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, destroy all their temples, destroy their molten idols, and demolish their high places.

You shall clear out the Land and settle in it, for I have given you the Land to occupy it.

...But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the Land from before you, then those whom you leave over will be as spikes in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they will harass you in the land in which you settle.

And it will be that what I had intended to do to them, I will do to you.

Fierce rioting continued throughout Tuesday night in the mixed Jewish-Arab city of Lod and a state of emergency was declared, with Defense Minister Benny Gantz announcing the deployment of several Border Police units to help quell the violence that saw the burning of three synagogues and dozens of cars.

At least two people were in serious condition from the clashes, one from rocks. In Acco, another mixed Arab-Jewish city in northern Israel, an 84-yer-old man was seriously hurt when a restaurant was set on fire by rioters. Some 25 residents of Ramla and Lod were arrested on Tuesday night, according to a police spokesperson. Some 151 were arrested in total within the central-northern district of Israel.

Muslims Desecrate Synagogues and Jewish Schools in Pogrom in Ramle-Lod

...As part of the attacks, the rioters pillaged synagogues, ransacked the houses of prayer and desecrated the Torah scrolls. In addition, they attacked Jewish schools in the city.

...The World Organization of Synagogues expressed “deep shock” at the severe damage to synagogues in the cities of Lod and Ramla by Arab rioters and “condemns and strongly protests the severe damage to the holy places of Israel.”

“The harsh images of desecrated and burned synagogues must shock every citizen of every religion. Synagogues are the beating heart of Judaism, and in the State of Israel their status is no less than symbols of government. The Israel Police is called upon to act with all its might for this task of guarding the synagogues, and enforcing the law with the rioters.”

Mayor of Lod Yair Revivo stated Tuesday that it was a “sad morning for all of us in Lod, 70 years of coexistence were trampled on by Arabs in a series of pogroms, vandalism, damage to symbols of government, shattering windshields and throwing Molotov cocktails at the new town hall we entered just last week, enormous damage to the mosaic museum, burning synagogues, a Talmud Torah schools, dozens of vehicles, burning garbage containers, destroying Israeli flags and, worse, lowering the Israeli flag and hoisting the Palestinian flag, on a night of riots that injured policemen and residents who found themselves besieged.”

  1. I remember how many of the resdents of Gush Katif used to brag about heir good relations with their Arab neighbors, how they would share coffee and attend each others simchas. And now, who lives there?

I remember when rockets very first started falling from that area onto the residents of the border communities and one Jewish woman who was interviewed on the radio actually said that if the rockets would just stop, they could all get back to their previous "peaceful coexistence."

Even now, in light of what happened overnight, there are Jews in Lod who are blaming all this destruction on "outside agitators" and refuse to accept that these are their friendly Arab neighbors.

They are in denial. Jews have never lived at peace in these mixed cities. There was always an underlying threat that occasionally was expressed openly, but was always there, running just beneath the surface.

  2. And then there is the myth of the Israeli Arab - they are ALL "Palestinian" just wainting for all if us to run away so they can claim the whole pie.

Btw, you are welcome to "piggyback" anytime you want. :-) Be safe!!

  3. It all comes back to what the late Rav Meir Kahane, ztl, H' yikom damo, forewarned and most Jews in Israel & the diaspora mocked him because after 2000 years of galut, the typical Jewish mentality has been galutified to the point of complete irrationality. That aside, the reactions by those who live amongst those Arabs remind us of the Jews at the time of the shoa who couldn't believe their good gentile friends turning on them; there are many stories of this attitude by the galutified Jew. When the Torah commands us to be a nation that dwells alone and to expel the inhabitants therein, they are not just meaningless words, they are G-D's Commands and HIS Warnings must be heeded, otherwise, we pay the price. But, it is easier to assimilate and forget the Holy Words of our Torah, so H' Reminds us!!! We remember for a while and soon forget, r'l.

  4. Rambam hilchos melachim ch. 1.

Elect a king from the line of David haMelech, wipe out the amalek, build the beit haMikdash.

That's all we have to do in eretz Yisrael.

Not create a marxist state of toeva Aviv, not recreate the shtetl or mella certainly not to coexist or mingle with the Arabs.

Wiping out amalek means death to the last person. Everyone. Not just making noise on Purim. Read the Rambam.

    -----------------------

Israel was commanded to fulfill three mitzvot upon entering the Promised Land:

    a) To choose a king, as Deuteronomy 17:15 states: 'Appoint a king over yourselves;'

    b) To wipe out the descendents of Amalek, as Deuteronomy 25:19 states: 'Erase the memory of Amalek;'

    c) To build God's Chosen House, as Deuteronomy 12:5 states: 'Seek out His Presence and go there.'

  5. They do not tell us everything in the news! What  they do in Haifa! 2 days ago arabs burned 2 cars near my building, in front of my window, pachat mavet. And now, just now they burned a police car a little further, shooting, fireworks, their imam calls on the microphone, probably something very bad.Look, I always lived in a good place where there are no arabs at all, but recently I had to move here....it's a disaster, even now they shut... 6. בס"ד

    כא הֵם קִנְאוּנִי בְלֹא-אֵל, {ר} כִּעֲסוּנִי בְּהַבְלֵיהֶם; {ס} וַאֲנִי אַקְנִיאֵם בְּלֹא-עָם, {ר} בְּגוֹי נָבָל אַכְעִיסֵם. {ס}
21 They have roused Me to jealousy with a no-god; they have provoked Me with their vanities; and I will rouse them to jealousy with a no-people; I will provoke them with a vile nation.

If ever there was a fitting description of the so called "palestinians." It comes from the mouth of HaShem. A "no-people" and a vile nation indeed. Since we are continually being provoked by a "no-people", then we have to ask ourselves if we are still provoking HaShem with our "no-god" Who or what exactly is this no-god? Some form of avodah zara that needs to be eliminated. That and/or the elimination of the "no-people."

  7. Events are happening so fast, meron, families still sitting shiva and jews publicly calling for prayers with with idol worshippers, israel is burning ... We are supposed to learn from events in chumash that are juxtaposed, so too in our own lives.

  8. was very proud and delighted to see young Jews uniting against Arab mobs in Lod, Bat Yam and Jerusalem

    this is not Chillul Hashem
it is revenge, revenge of years that was choked.
it is time for civilian militias to organize themselves because it became very clear that the police in Israel are acting in accordance with international interests.

and the soldiers became hostages to their cowardly superiors. such as the case of Omer Tabib z'l placed in a meaningless risky situation.
    that Hashem protects everyone

  9. very good Stingray! Just think of the way the 'state' has behaved, not only from the start, but especially in these last number of years (where the rest of the world is also messed up) with all the 'parades', the assimilation with the notzrim and even 'religious' Jews dialoguing with them about religion and now the 'interfaith', r'l, with all the avoda zoras, etc., etc. How much more of this will H' allow for it to continue; HE is hastening the Geulah now 'in its time' but am afraid not with the glory that we would love but with punishments. We pray for His great mercy and if we unite in the right way, with one heart as one person and do real teshuva, He will forgive us and unleash His Wrath only upon our enemies!

  10. I think the Coronavirus was to teach us we cannot go back and live the lives we used to, we must change in order to be ready for Moshiach. Israel is the first country to fully return to normal life. Now with the Gaza conflict, there's no normal life anymore. Things are happening in a flash, because it seems we are reaching the last date of the "Keitz", and Moshiach must come very soon. Lets get ready !
