A Major Attack on Israel During Sukkot

16 Tishrei 5779
Chol Hamoed Sukkot
Moadim l'Simchah!

The plan, God willing, is to continue the series on "The Three Wars..." at the conclusion of the holidays, but meanwhile, the Third War is ongoing and it is uniquely tied to Sukkot. Therefore, with God's help, we will deal with various aspects of what constitutes a major attack by the nations this week.

No one who has ever witnessed the "Parade of Nations" taking place in the streets of Jerusalem during the Intermediate Days of Sukkot can fail to detect the aura and attitude of conquerors about the participants. They act like the city and the holiday belong to them, like they are the hosts and we the mere guests. It's not your imagination. There is a reason for that.

While the public reason for the parade is that it is to express love, solidarity and support for Israel, there are deeper reasons, more compelling reasons, truer reasons for why Christians flock to this city at this particular time.

The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem which sponsors, organizes and manages the parade has this to say about it...
Zechariah foretold of a time when all nations will ascend to Jerusalem each year to "worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles” (14:16).
Thus we also keep Sukkot now because of this future prophetic purpose. Throughout the Messianic Age, the entire world will celebrate this feast because it will mark the return of Jesus to the earth. But for now, Christians flocking to Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles is a powerful statement of faith demonstrating that we believe the Millennial Kingdom of Jesus is coming.

For the past 35 years, Christians from all over the world have come to Jerusalem each fall to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles, sponsored by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem. They come to take part in a dynamic worship experience and to taste of the joy of the Lord in the age to come.

The Feast of Tabernacles is always a wonderful foretaste of that future time when all peoples will come up to Jerusalem to celebrate Sukkot. It is a prophetic statement that our Lord is indeed coming soon. And it declares to Israel and the nations that a new day is dawning. The King is coming, and we are here to rejoice in His transforming power and soon arrival.
No truly Torah-observant Jew who is faithful to the covenant with HKB"H can condone, much less, enjoy, this horrible chillul Hashem!! It is an attack on everything that Torah-loving Jews hold dear in our holiest city at the time of our greatest joy.

Note that it is not just the parade. This has turned into a week-long extravaganza of idolatrous worship and praise of a false deity and the expressed desire and invitation* that Am Yisrael join in.

SCHEDULE

Ein Gedi Celebration
Garden Tomb Service
Bus Tours
Jerusalem March
Israeli Guest Night*
Prayer Vigil

Speakers include Christians and Jews.

Hashem yerachem aleynu! Real joy will come when our enemies are no more and we are at peace and without interference from the nations of the world - when they will have cast all idols and false worship aside.

Just because they don't carry guns or knives and bombs are not exploding does not mean this is not a war, People! It's war by other means!! That's what makes it all the more dangerous to Klal Yisrael who are putting up NO defense!!!

Kol Hayedudi is reporting that xtian missionaries built a Sukkah at the Yafo / HaTurim junction here in Jerusalem. There they are trying to drag Jews into their treife Sukkah in order to spread xtian idolatry.

People have already informed Yad le'Achim and the counter missionary organization is warning Jews passing by not to get involved with xtian idolatry. As a matter of fact, most Jews walking by wouldn't think that there could be a treife xtian Sukkah.

  3. There's no defense because they are given carte blanche by the govt and so, the uninformed public think it's okay. Am sure there are many observant Jews who think 'it's great', r'l. H' y'rachem!

  5. Thank you so much Devash, as my husband and I were going out today, and now we will delay till tomorrow. All our buses are being detoured and we won’t be able to get home ;-( Disgusting! BTW That antisemite in Britain is going to cause a mass exodus of Jews from England. Plus, I read a very interesting paper that (predicts) says the year 2020 will witness the largest influx of immigrants to Eretz Yisrael, and it will be the last such. IY”H Guess what that would do to the housing market!? A Good and Joyous Moed to you and your family.

  7. Those who say the daily Tehillim will read these lines today in Psalm: 83
    2. O God, do not be silent; do not be quiet and do not be still, O God.
    3. For behold, Your enemies are in uproar, and those who hate You have raised their head.
    4. They plot deviously against Your nation, and conspire against those sheltered by You.
    5. They say, "Come, let us sever them from nationhood, and the name of Israel will be remembered no more.”
    6. For they conspire with a unanimous heart, they made a covenant against You-
