I heard a shiur recently in which the rabbi brought up this saying of our Sages, but with an additional detail I had not heard before. He said that these past evil leaders would arise out of the countries they had previously ruled. That makes sense in light of the fact that Saddam Hussein claimed to be the reincarnation of Nebuchadnezzar and Iraq is ancient Babylon.
This brings me to an interesting observation someone close to me said this morning - that Vladimir Putin may be the reincarnation of Czar Nicholas II. All of the documentaries I've seen about Putin emphasize his desire and intention to renew the Russian Empire. Czar Nicholas II's most significant achievement (if one can call it that) was to lose the Empire and most interesting of all, is when that happened.
"On 15 March 1917 (according to the western calendar) Tsar Nicholas II abdicated from the Russian throne. This brought to an end the Romanov dynasty that had ruled Russia for over three hundred years."
The Hebrew date just happened to be 21 Adar 5677. It was also March/Adar when Putin invaded Crimea. The connection to the last Czar could explain why this time of year figures so large in Putin's life too.

We are still missing Titus, Vespasian, and Antiochus. When they show up, we will know about it. The problem with Antiochus, he has to oppose a unique figure who is both strong in Torah and Jewish sovereignty over all of Eretz Yisrael. That leader has not arisen yet in the modern era.
What about Smotrich? His first comments were that Torah should be the law of the Land and Jewish sovereignty over all of Eretz Yisrael. He was immediately denounced and shut down, and has since gone quiet on these matters, but I don't believe his thoughts have changed at all. I think HaShem is simply waiting for the right moment to bring him back to the forefront.

DeleteAccording to biographies, Nicholas II also did not hate Jews. It is quite a "coincidence" that Putin moves to take back Ukraine on the same date Nicholas abdicated. Also, I didn't find one documentary about Putin that did not compare him to the Czar.

ReplyDeleteI think Putin is Vespasian and the French leader Macron is also an ancient Roman, although not sure which one. I know Erdogan looks like a double of H*tler, yamok shemo. Could Turkey be a part of Iran/Russia and under the same ministering angel? One thing we don't know is that when all these big players come back... will any of them do teshuva? Vespasian sacked Jerusalem, perhaps Putin will want to save it? Nero did teshuva and his descendents sit and learn in Bnei Brak. Isn't the point of bringing everyone back for "one last chance"? Surely, Hashem will "help"/direct the ones who still want evil and use them for His purposes before destroying them. I assume He will help/direct the ones who want to clear their karma so to speak.

2) Vespasian and Titus besieged and conquered Judea. George, Sr. and George, Jr. both besieged and conquered Iraq.
3) The defining moment of Titus' reign as Caesar was the destruction wrought by Vesuvius on Pompei and Herculaneum which occurred early in his rule. The defining moment of George W's term as president was the 9/11 attack on the WTC which occurred early in his term of office.

ReplyDeleteErdogan is the "iron mired in clay" fellow from Sefer Daniel 2 since the two feet of iron mired in clay are in the Western and Eastern capitals of the Roman Empire (Rome and Constantinople). The Iron is Rome and the Clay is Yishmael or Islam. Muhammad himself was a Nabbatean, a descendant of Yishmael's eldest son Nebaiyot. So when Constantinople was taken by the Muslims, it was renamed Istanbul. The iron mired in clay is the duel names of the City, Istanbul and Constantinople. After the destruction of the Catholic Church's hold on Western Rome during the Protestant Reformation during the 30 yrs War, the Western Roman foot of the statue moved to what was known as Rome, Maryland which became Washington DC. So 2 end of days leaders would come from both of these cities who represent the conflicting combination of Xtianity and Islam. On one hand Barack Obama was a Muslim at heart pretending to be a Xtian, and Erdogan is a Xtian at heart pretending to be a Muslim sultan. Both represent the conflicting nature of iron and clay. From this insight, I believe that Erdogan is the gilgul of Constantine, the Roman Emperor who moved his capital to Turkey and who made Catholicism the official religion of the Roman Empire. Since the Vilna Gaon says that the Russians will sack Istanbul before it is hit by a giant meteorite unhewn by the hands of man, maybe we can gain some insight into who Putin is by the task that he is meant to perform.
