"My Children Do Not Fear!"

13 Menachem Av 5778

Last week, three unusual things happened...

1)  The Knesset passed a surrogacy law that denied gay couples the right to have a child by surrogacy;

2)  The Knesset passed a "Nation-State" law declaring Israel to be the Nation-State of the Jewish people;

3)  The Haifa police arrested a Conservative rabbi for failing to heed a summons to a beit din of the Haifa rabbanut to answer for performing an illegal wedding involving a mamzer.

That, in turn, produced phenomenal results...

1)  Tens of thousands, and possibly more, LGBTs and their supporters spent the whole of Tisha b'Av protesting in public on a National Fast Day;

2)  The "Israeli" Arabs, Druze, Bedouin, Christians, foreign leaders and US Jews rushed to condemn the "threat to democracy, the racist, fascist, apartheid" ideology behind the new Basic Law;

3)  The non-Orthodox and some quasi-Orthodox Jews, both here and abroad, went crazy, saying things like, Israel is no longer a country for all Jews, etc.

Now, you can agree or disagree, but in my opinion, the Creator has stepped out into the open and taken sides on these issues.

1)  The earthquakes around the Kinneret started about the time the first of eleven scheduled Pride Parades kicked off in Israel. Some were big enough to shake people up, but without causing any injuries. There was a 3.6 'quake on Tisha b'Av itself! And our mesorah already told us that earthquakes are associated with this particular sin. It's a method of Heavenly stoning.

2) The week the whole world erupted into condemnations of Israel over the Nation-State law, HKB"H increased the temperatures worldwide. I guess He figured if they wanted to raise hell, He'd make 'em feel like they were really there.

3)  Then, the day after Tisha b'Av, a 400-lb Herodian stone fell from the Western Wall into the mixed-gender prayer area set aside for the non-Orthodox. B"H, no one was injured there either.

I took strong exception to the title of an article in the online Jewish Press. It read: "Divine Rage? Kotel Stone Falls on Reform Prayer Platform."

"Divine rage" indeed! Look around at what is lying on the ground there and you'll perhaps see something approximating Divine "rage." But, these acts of God, if they are such, are warnings, gentle slaps from a loving Father meant to arouse us from our interminable spiritual slumber and inspire us to do teshuvah while we still can. Because time is running out!!

This coming Shabbat, Parashat Va'etchanan, Shabbat Nachamu, there will be a "blood moon"...

...coupled with the closest approach of the Red Planet of War - Mars...

...and with totality centered over the entire Middle East. I was expecting this to signal an all-out war about to begin in the days following. But, now, I wonder if it will even wait til Shabbat.

You see, something else phenomenal is taking place. There was a simmering pot on our northern border a month ago. Today it is boiling over.

So much is happening and so fast that I can't even keep up with it all!

"...And HKB"H will say to them: My children, do not fear! Everything I did I did only for you! Why are you frightened? Don't be afraid--the time of your redemption has arrived!"

  1. A sign of things to come...

    An Israeli David’s Sling missile falls into Russian and Syrian hands

    Two missiles of the David’s Sling cutting-edge air defense system were launched against Syrian SS-21 missiles on Monday, July 23. One landed in Syria; the other one self-destructed. Both missed their targets.

    It has to happen. Both the IDF and it's vaunted technology have become idols of the nation. Not only that. The IDF prides itself on recruiting LGBTs to its ranks along with Christian missionaries and immodest women.

    Hashem will protect the righteous among the wicked, but in my view the military as an organization is doomed.

  2. Gemora:Yoma:10a forsees an end of days war between Persia(Iran) and Edom(USA). Logically, Persia should defeat Edom since Persia allowed the Temple to be rebuilt while Edom(Rome) destroyed the Temple. Nevertheless continues the Shas Edom destroys Persia. Why? Persia also presecuted its Jews & destroyed their Synagogues, but also because thst it's the DECREE OF THE KING(KB'H).
    In fact thr empire of Edom will (then) conquer the whole world for
    nine months (birth pangs?).then the son of David will come.

  3. Yes, think you are right. The higher echelon of the IDF is no longer Jewish. We need to pray for the soldiers (amcha) who are our Jewish sons and even the innocent daughters. To think of these girls in the army hurts. Only H' can help us. The nation has crossed all lines, r'l. H' yerachem on his children. Amen.

  4. I take issue with the so called nationality law but fir completely different reasons as others of course.

    I've lived in Israel and I have never seen Arabs this integrated into Israeli society. And everyone seems to appreciate it. The quasi-religious right believes this is a sign if Arab acceptance and submission. The left sees it as progress, but only privately because they want to keep up the pressure to push fir more integration. The nationality law basically accepts the status quo of such "progress." Let us also not forget the Christian Arabs not referred to as "Arameans," increased show of loyalty to the state and their acceptance by Jews.

    The failed Techiya party tried thus already: keep Yehuda, Shomron, and Azza but keep the Arabs as well. Bennett's "plan" is similar.

    At best the nationality keeps up the illusion of a Jewish state.

    We don't need such a law (nor constitution). We have the Torah.

    1. Yes, and some of the rabbis of the chareidi parties said it could be used against us in the future by opening the door to the HCJ defining who is a Jew.

      Basically, it changed nothing on the ground, but it's phenomenal how much outrage it caused with just the suggestion. Imagine what will happen when we have regime change here and a halachic state arises. Not hard to see how it would inspire a global war against us.

  5. Everyone keep your "head down" and be careful on what you post. The "Dark Side" is keeping track of who you are. I have had comments erased on other sites by someone.

  6. 1 million charedim, 1 million chadarlim and DL. Another million plus shomer mesoret. Thats today.We all know who is leading in demographics. Israel is emerging into a religious Torani state even before Moshiach. The likud has no way to understand the new Israel or lead it. Bibi is a fascinating historical figure but doesnt have the emunah ideology to lead the religious Israel that is emerging.

    Are we ready for it? Because we are going to see it in a few short years. Not our grandkids. Us.

    1. The problem is that the emerging Torani state has no ideological infrastructure. Are Rabbonim even starting to think this way? Certainly not the Chareidi camp. In the Chardali/DL camp, the Feiglinim molted into some sort of libertarian party with openly toevah members. There isn't anything out there.

      The emerging society isn't left or right. Is the Torah leadership ready to develop/reveal a Torani ideological infrastructure for leadership? A state can't be run like the Bnei Brak municipality. Something more. A LOT more is needed.

      This situation will be upon us in 10-15 years.

    2. A Torah-based society does not have to wait for Mashiach to lead it, but there won't be one until Mashiach is here to lead it, for the reasons you mention above.

      Mashiach can come any day, but if he tarries, I wouldn't give it more than a couple of more years. The burden of sin is too great and the outpouring of judgment has already begun. Creation won't be able to tolerate much more of either.

    3. And how. It's fascinating to watch in real time. The truth is, once Moshiach arrives, the whole world will be in complete chaos.

      Why? Because a Jewish nuclear power and first rate military led by a wise and charismatic leader who follows and promotes Jewish Halacha, leads the entire Jewish people and wages total war against her enemies is the exact antithesis of the modern world.

      Such a Jewish state is completely counter to modern secular notions of the state. A Jewish state led by Moshiach totally destroys Catholic and Christian theologies and concepts. Such a state destroys Islamic theology. It destroys communist and post left ideologies. Even modern ideas of capitalism are in total opposition the Jewish concept of capital. Also, ideas like democracy are in opposition to the notion of a Davidic monarchy reinstated with a Temple and Sanhedrin.

      In short, the world will have to try to kill the newly born Moshiach state like the Naviim wrote. Just like the arab world tried to kill the newly born Israel state in '47. They will have no choice. Because the Moshiach state demolishes every worldview in the Gentile world. Everything. And they will give everything to keep their world intact before Moshiach defeats them and reinstitutes the Davidic monarchy in Jerusalem with the Temple and Sanhedrin to rule the planet.

      It's mind boggling and right around the corner.

  7. The IDF appointed last week an openly living gay as general. He leads the whole law-branch of the IDF. This branch decides if to attack or not accd to israeli/international law. Meaning the whole army follows it's decisions. So the IDF is ruled by a gay.

  8. Classic "Flip-Flop" Netanyahu...

    In a surprise move, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he will convene a discussion at the Prime Minister’s Office about the possibility of amending the Jewish nation-state law amid a fierce outcry against the law by the Druze minority.

  10. What's hard for me to understand is how these Chardalim/DL, who are supposedly very religious embrace the foreign elements within our country as long as we can all get along. What Torah do they follow? It seems that there are so many today, as never before, within the 'observant' Jewish world that picks and chooses what seems to fit their own personal agendas. Only Moshiach can help us! It's become too difficult, at times, to read all this. Devash, Essser Agaroth and the good commenters on this blog have it right.
    We must pray harder and yearn more for biat Moshiach for our and our loved ones sakes as well as for klal Yisrael!
