LGBT UPDATE: Kedushah Under Siege

17 Menachem Av 5778

Unless HKB"H intervenes, the Jerusalem Pride March will take place, God forbid! in four days time - August 2, 2018. It is being advertised on Secret Tel Aviv's facebook page as an an "all-day" affair, Hashem yerachem!

Earthquake rumblings have not stopped - Fri: 3.7, 2.3; Today: 3.1, 2.5, 2.2, 2.2...
“Particularly in Jerusalem, there’s a big significance to Gay Pride events. Especially if we want an equal and pluralistic city,”... (Source)
RABBIS TAKE A PUBLIC STAND
'Aggressive Terror': Over 200 Israeli Rabbis Slam LGBT Groups as 'Deviants'

More than 200 rabbis, including Orthodox local chief rabbis and yeshiva heads, signed an open letter on Thursday in support of Jerusalem Rabbi Aryeh Stern, who had come under fire for his scathing criticism earlier in the week against the practice of same-sex couples raising children. The rabbis blasted organizations fighting for LGBT rights, calling them “deviants” and an abomination, and labeling their conduct “aggressive terrorism.”

...The open letter in support of Stern said he had spoken “bravely and simply about our holy Torah’s eternal truth and of human normality, which the healthy majority in Israel identifies with and is outraged by the provocations of the abomination organizations...even on Tisha B’Av, a national day of mourning for the destruction of the Temple, which was destroyed among other things over incest and baseless hatred.”

The open letter states that LGBT groups have engaged in violent behavior and “terror” and that they have silenced and attacked anyone who supports family values. “The aggressive terror accompanied by media brainwashing day and night” was intended to “destroy the institution of the family and turn the deviants into heroes.” This attempt, the statement said, will not succeed, “nor will gagging rabbis and sane people, turning them into crazy radicals.”

Stern had come out in defense of Israel’s children “who will be miserable if they aren’t adopted by normative families,” the statement said, adding that the rabbi had issued a cry on behalf of children “who have no voice, to save them from a miserable life and give them the basic right to live in a natural, normative family so they grow up to become normal, mentally healthy people.”

Uri Keidar, the executive director of Be Free Israel, an organization that promotes pluralism, said in response to the rabbis’ statement: “The rabbis’ letter is a clear call that can only be seen as incitement to attacks on the entire LGBT community. A large part of this group of lunatics’ wages are paid by the state, and Prime Minister Netanyahu and Justice Minister Shaked’s silence is testimony akin to that of 1,000 witnesses that they have no intention to do anything to stop these people of religion, who have no God.

“Every minute these people are not behind bars is a serious failing on the part of law enforcement authorities. The large number of people who will flood Jerusalem’s streets at the Gay Pride Parade [on August 2] will show all those stuck in the Middle Ages that their time has passed and that their place is in the ashcan of history.”

The Liba organization, which helped to organize the letter, and whose website states in part that it is dedicated to preserving Israel’s Jewish character, said: “It’s not surprising to see the rapid mobilization of more than 200 rabbis to support Rabbi Stern and strengthen the healthy, normal family. Israel’s rabbis reflect the position of the healthy majority in Israel, which loathes this violent, hysterical campaign in recent years, especially in the past week, seeking to destroy the family and continuity of the generations.”
INFO UPDATE
A coalition of LGBT groups, riding the current wave of protests against an amendment to the surrogacy law that discriminates against gay men, on Wednesday announced plans for a march next week to begin in Tel Aviv and end in Jerusalem on the day of the capital’s annual Gay Pride Parade.
THEIR "DEMANDS"
The coalition also demanded that the government outlaw “conversion therapy” for LGBT minors, extend the right to surrogacy services to gay men, and budget at least 50 million shekels ($13.7 million) for the needs of the gay community.

The groups are also demanding harsher punishment for hate crimes against the community, state coverage for the cost of procedures in sexual reassignment surgery not currently covered, and a means of changing one’s gender as cited on Israeli identity cards.

The coalition of groups includes the LGBT Task Force, Israeli Gay Youth, Open House Jerusalem and gay community centers in Tel Aviv, Haifa and Be’er Sheva, the Orthodox lesbian association Bat Kol, the gay Orthodox men’s organization Havruta, the transgender association Ma’avarim, the AIDS Task Force and other groups.

...Eran Globus, chairman of Open House Jerusalem said: “The public and the whole economy is with us. We can’t make possible the next murder. We call on the public to join our protest tent opposite the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem. Globus was referring to the murder of Shira Banki, 16, during the Gay Pride Parade in Jerusalem in 2015.

A representative of Ma’avarim added: “We are dealing with an unbearable reality. Thirty percent of us are homeless, 19 percent are working as prostitutes, and 41 percent have tried to commit suicide at least once. (Source)
This already took place, but it's telling...
US ambassador to host surprise LGBT event
David Friedman, who is considered to harbor religious and conservative views, surprises LGBT leaders in Israel with invite to black tie ceremony at his private Herzliya residence to celebrate Pride Parades in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
...One senior LGBT member commented on the unexpected invitation.
“During Barack Obama’s tenure, Gay Pride events had been conducted but a ceremony which celebrates Pride Marches, and especially the one in Jerusalem, is very good news for us,” he said.
“Hosting an event like this before the Jerusalem Pride March is an important statement ... We thank the ambassador for his openness and willingness,” concluded the senior member.
Davka they want to conquer Jerusalem!!

  1. I hope what I read about ambassador Friedman is a lie, because that stupid invitation is going to condemn him for eternity. I'm moving to Jerusalem the day of the abomination parade, Hashem iaazor. Hashem is losing patience. Earthquake after earthquake. I asked Him to send those wicked people to Gehenom and do whatever He wants to do with them, but to leave the rest of Am Israel alone. At least for the merits of millions of Jews who learn Torah and do mitzvot, as well as for the kiruv rabbis. The problem is that those selfish perverts have no limits and they won't stop until all of us are dead. Why they don't kill themselves already? Why do we have to pay the price for a couple of impure disgusting sodomites??? WHY??? What does Hashem pretend from us? That we act like ISIS and start a civil war by killing all those who go against the Torah?? I'm sorry to say this, but if that's the case we should wipe out AT LEAST half of our nation in Israel alone (and most Jews in the exile). Not to mention all the enemies among the nations. Maybe a counter-demonstration? I'm an ole chadash and I have my own problems, I don't know what I can do to prevent a catastrophe. Why Hashem doesn't just swallow those perverts like Korach and finish this nonsense once and for all?

    1. According to their own report, nearly half of them do kill themselves, Hashem yerachem! This kind of life destroys individual souls as well as the family, societies and civilizations. This is why it is such a strong ta'avah and toeivah and forbidden to all mankind.

Right now, all Hashem is asking is for us to speak up and not remain silent.

    2. I have no Rachmanus with them in any way. They are openly promoting an abnormal unnatural perverse way to live and are now forcing it on everyone. Meaning, they are outside of being able to do teshuvah. There are no words to describe the wickedness of their leaders. I hope that Hashem crushes them totally and saves us from all their proceedings an blots them out from his world. Unfortunately we as the people have no way to end it.

Mr.Ginno Ricci wrote: """ I asked Him [Hashem] to send those wicked people to Gehenom and do whatever He wants to do with them, but to leave the rest of Am Israel alone. """

In my humble opinion it is not going to happen so easy as Mr.Ricci expects.
According to all our Holy Sources in Torah and Halakha we can learn, that Hashen DO punish rightful "Tzadikim", and often they are punished even FIRST, before the Evil ones. Why ? Because the Rightful people would not have protested and tried whatever they can do and beyond, to stop the Evil ones. To pray to Hashem, that He would do their "dirty" job for them, while they would continue to just "learn Torah and do mitzvot" in a very clean and abstract environment - it is hardly going to help any further ! Because it is just the essence of the test, that Hashem subjects us to. Just to pray and learn Torah is surely not enough. We live in the so called "Olam HaAssiya" - the World of Action - and it is the actions which is a decisive factor here, not just theoretical learning, prayer, moving the lips, with or without Kawanoth-Intentions...
There is no simple and easy way out of this terrible situation.
Very soon there will be a huge BIRUR - Selection - between the Good and Evil, between the Rightful and Wicked, between the True Sons of Yisrael and the Erev Rav - in the whole world and especially here in the Eretz Yisrael. And it looks more and more clear that maybe the whole purpose of the State of Yisrael, the evil Kingdom, the Qelipa-"husk-shell" before the Kingdom of Mashiach, is just to gather most of the Jews here in the Holy Land - but not to give them immediately the Redemption and Mashiach - not so quickly! - but rather Hashem would want to gather us here in order to JUDGE US first, exactly like it is written in the Prophecies - to judge us here and to destory all the wickedness from the face of the earth - WeBearta Et HaRa Mi Qirbecha - yes, Hashen may physically destroy all the wicked ones from the Jews and Yisraelites before the Geula - and only after all these terrible tribulations will He let the rest of us, who will survive, to merit both the Redemption and the Mashiach !!!
Sorry, whoever came as an Ole Hadash to the Holy Land now, expecting an easy and quick and relatively painless way to the Redemption, may have been mistaken terribly !
Hashem Yishmor al Kol Am Yishrael haQedushim !

And I shall take you out of the peoples, and I shall gather you from the lands in which you were scattered, with a strong hand and with an outstretched arm and with poured out fury. And I shall bring you to the wilderness of the peoples, and I shall contend with you there face to face. ...And I shall separate from you those who rebel and those who transgress against Me; from the land of their sojournings I shall take them, but to the land of Israel they shall not come, and you will know that I am the Lord. ~ Yechezkel 20.34-35,38

    5. Makes so much sense now why the most despicable anti-Torah people are drawn to Eretz Yisrael like a moth to the flame. The final birur indeed. Each one comes here hoping to make Eretz Yisrael in their own image.

  2. Normally we would say to them to make their own country where they can be whatever they want but the boss is pushing these maniacs to do these things.
It is not in their hands and it is not their fault because all of the evil exists because of our sins and the generation has become worse and are not listening to the messages that we are always getting and immodesty is part of the women walking around in fancy wigs (which are totally forbidden), fancy dress-ups, clicker shoes, jewelry, makeup, nails, fancy hats, etc.
And these are married and religious women and even if certain women are really dressed modestly, there are other problems with modest like the attitudes, thoughts and feelings and do not get me started if the woman's feelings are not clean, modest and kosher! Woes onto us and such wives and mothers destroy the whole family and most of the Jewish people and we are now paying the price and it is not these reshaims fault, it is ours and ours alone because they all exist because of us and g-d is encouraging them to be like this so we had better repent and be ready for moshiach

    1. If we would say that, we would be wrong. We have a responsibility as servants of Hashem to hold up the Torch of Torah that enlightens the whole world by declaring for all - it is forbidden to all everywhere. We have to say it even though we cannot enforce it.

It most assuredly and certainly IS in their hands and it IS their own fault and each one of them will answer for it to their Maker. Lashon Hara and female immodesty are certainly serious problems in our Jewish society, but they are not at the top of the list. Men also need to take a very deep look into themselves and see where they have room to improve. Like where does the lack of leadership come from? The men! And I'm no feminist!!

    Devash,

Around 35 years ago when I was still a Baptist pastor, I couldn't understand how the U.S. would be involved in Gog and Magog. Such a “christian nation” would not do that. Well, time has shown us many things since then, so much so that it not only seems a “possibility” but more than that a “probability.”

Having been converted to Orthodox Judaism 20 years ago, I never thought I would see the day when what is happening in Israel as reported above would have happened. But, here we are. The real danger to us as Jews is not Iran, Russia, etc., it is we ourselves.

We must not only seek the Truth, speak the Truth, but LIVE THE TRUTH. Each one of us in our heart of hearts knows what this means as we fight in the battle “for the hearts and minds” of our brethren. Yom Kippur is coming, let us prepare now each and every moment for that time...

  5. ... No words; all we can do, besides shouting on the rooftops, is TEfillah, Tefillah, Tefillah. Do they want a Third Destruction? Because this is what will happen if this doesn't stop. And this ambassador needs to be exposed for what he is - and what those who sent him are: enemies of Hashem, plain and simple. They will get their just deserts, I have no doubt.

  6. Immodesty is the main issue!
While a life of toevah is terrible and an abomination most of these people are not religious and are not on Hashems radar like the religious Jews. And we are FAILING in the areas of kedusha as Jack pointed out - particularly in how frum women are dressing. Let's not fool ourselves by saying that these people are the ones bringing all the destruction (I'm not supporting what they are doing at all) - WE religious Jews are being the anger and destruction . WE are dressing in ways thats pushing the shechina away (as it says in Devarim). WE are destroying each other's marriages bt walking in the streets in long wigs and immodest clothing and causing every man to stumble.
By us lowering our holy standards we are allowing tuma to flourish and we need to do serious teshuva for it. Otherwise the terrible tuma will continue to grow and all the men's Torah learning will go to the side of the Satan (as Rav Shach said- men's Torah learning goes to the side of the Satan when the frum women dress immodestly)

    1. I don't deny that immodest dress is an issue, but by no stretch of the imagination can it be compared to or even claimed to exceed the seriousness of this sin that we've been discussing. It destroyed the entire world once! It carries the death penalty!! Get real!!

    2. I'd just like to add here that Torah is intended to be learned in order to do. It's not enough to imbibe it and then just sit on your hands.

For this commandment which I command you this day, is not concealed from you, nor is it far away. It is not in heaven, that you should say, "Who will go up to heaven for us and fetch it for us, to tell [it] to us, so that we can do it?"

Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, "Who will cross to the other side of the sea for us and fetch it for us, to tell [it] to us, so that we can do it?" Rather,[this] thing is very close to you; it is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it. ~Devarim 30.11-14

  7. If you investigate the rise of this horrible phenomenon in Israel, even by going to wikipedia, a simple but disturbingly cynical truth emerges. Namely that our government decided decades ago to make Israel a "Pink" center to gain sympathy in normally hostile left wing circles abroad and to distract criticism regarding the Palestian question.

Since this was accomplished with the complicity of the media and the courts I hope and trust Hashem Yisbarach will have mercy on the foolish Sheep of Isreal who condone this Evil, and that those of us who know better begin to resist עד שיעביר ממשלת זדון מן הארץ.

  10. If the so called orthodox US ambassador is having a toevah event thats the end. Sorry to say but the US is one of the key promoters of toevah in the world. Its actual state dept policy. Promoting toevah in Yerushslayim of all places is damning of the entire US.
I would not be suprised if the Borei Olam sent earthquakes and extreme weather on the US after this event. There are many fault lines in the north american continent including many that could destroy major cities. This will not end well.

  11. Where you live all women walk around in headscarves and long loose clothing?? If so I'm very impressed, if not than the women in your community need to take a serious look at how they are dressing to determine if they are being modest or not.
I'm not understanding your previous statement- according to your Torah, fixing oneself and working in areas of kedusha is not going to counter the immorality of these people that are promoting toevah lifestyles?? And you do don't think immodesty equals the sin of a toavah relationship? I don't know what Torah you're following but it's certainly not the one that most Jews are following. Yes, toavah relationships are absolutely disgusting and destroy the world. Guess what- immodesty is also absolutely disgusting and despised by Hashem and destroys marriages which is in turn destroys the world as the kedusha of the Jewish marriages are at the center on Judaism. How do you know that immodesty is not as important to Hashem? Especially when it says in devarim that if Hashem sees immorality/ immodesty he turns way from us. It doesn't say this about any other sin in the Torah. When Hashem leaves us tragedies occur- which is why gedolim always scream about tznius when calamities happen. It's so arrogant to trivialize the sin of immodesty. Tznius is the most important mitzvah for a women- according to the Vilna Goan its equal to a man Torah learning. When Hashem created Chava he declared over every limb - she should be a modest woman. Nothing else.
Countering immorality with morality/ modesty is exactly what Hashem wants us to be doing. Yes, we should protest the toavah, but going to protest dressed immodestly defeats the entire purpose of the protest! Hashem is waiting for the religious Jews to repent! Do you not see the streets where many frum women walk? The provocative clothes, alluring wigs etc...? Many frum women look as bad as Hollywood actresses! This is a terribly chillul Hashem and is most definitely angering the Almighty- as much any other immorality if not more because it's happening by his children that are supposed to be close to him and making a kiddish Hashem- not a mockery of his name

  12. The comments are all very good but some not all relevant to this mageifah that is taking place, and of all places, in Eretz HaKodesh, and in Ir Hakodesh. This goes beyond forgiveness because this is not individuals who are sinning in private, but a horrific promotion of the sin that H' hates the most and, literally, destroyed the world once before because of it. It is encumbent upon each and every real Jew who knows what Torah demands of us and know the difference between such an obvious wrong from what is right, to stand up and protest and pray that H', when HE will unleash His Wrath, have mercy on all those who are writing, praying, protesting against these abominations, that no righteous Jew gets caught up in the destruction, whether it be earthquakes, volcanoes, etc., etc. As Ginno wrote (stole my thunder) the earth should just open up and swallow these wicked promoters and their followers, just like what happened to Korach and his followers. Am also tired of reading certain comments which dwell on 'modesty' even where that is not a problem. If there are more well to do women who are observant and dress modestly but with better clothing and nicer head coverings or even wigs, how dare anyone criticize them; this has nothing with this gravest abomination. We are not commanded by Torah Law to live as paupers or restriction on normal pleasures. We now have a terrible situation where the whole Jewish nation will be accountable and must do what we can to stop this plague; otherwise, G-D knows what awaits the bnai Yisrael and the world at large. H' yerachem.
Also, reading about the 'religious' Mr. Friedman shows what kind of world and religiousity there is today (so depressing).
We can only trust and rely solely on H'.

  13. Do you think we might be too individually minded and not thinking of the People as a whole when faced with crises like this?

I'm asking only because I think a lot of us, whether we live here or not, may still be studying Torah with an outside-the-Land orientation, rather than thinking of ourselves as inside-the-Land and paying attention to our relationship with her (yes, I mean the Land! She has a personality and obeys HQB"H 100%!).

Whether we accept it or not, Hashem is expecting us to act like the nation we are and enforce His laws, but since it's going to require a revolution, it has to come in steps. We aren't quite there yet, but getting our heads straight is great progress.

"Suddenly, because I emphasized that I do not agree with this issue, it makes me ashamed of the opinion that I grew up [with] because it was perceived as primitive and different from all of them."

This is another reason why it is so critical for large numbers of faithful Jews to cry out in a very public way, if only in protest. It's not just for the sake of Heaven, but to strengthen and encourage the young and weak among us who want to hold onto the truth, but who are having trouble standing up against the pressure of this evil wind blowing into a hurricane around us.

But without the participation of the tsibour ha haredi, without unity between the leaders and all the G-d fearing Jews, is unworthy.
