OUR ENDURING HOPE

 29 Marcheshvan 5781
Erev Rosh Chodesh/Yom Kippur Katan

From the Yom Kippur Katan service...

Good is Hashem to all, and His mercies are upon all His works.
Good is Hashem to those who trust in Him, to the soul that seeks Him.
Good it is to hope silently for the salvation of Hashem.
Good it is to take refuge in Hashem, much better than to rely on man.
Good it is to take refuge in Hashem, much better than to rely on nobles [politicians].
Good is Hashem and upright; therefore He guides sinners on the way.
Good is Hashem as a stronghold on the day of distress, and mindful of those who take refuge in Him.
For He knows our nature; He is mindful that we are but dust.
For Hashem is good, His kindness is forever, and His faithfulness is from generation to generation.
As a father has mercy on his children, so, Hashem, may You have mercy on us. Salvation is Hashem's; upon Your people is Your blessing. Selah. Hashem, Master of Legions, is with us, the God of Jacob is a stronghold for us. Selah. Hashem, Master of Legions, praiseworthy is the person who trusts in You. Hashem, save! May the King answer us on the day we call.

  1. Hodesh Tov, Devash...

Yesterday (before shkiah) was my Hebrew birthday, and I would like to bless you, your family and your readers, since it was erev Rosh Hodesh as well (and today, of course, is Rosh Hodesh):

    1. That your relationship with G-d, your health and your wealth will increase.
    2. That your children and all generations after you will serve G-d, have a proper moral compass and prosper accordingly.
    3. That we will all live to greet Mashiah together.
    4. And that all the prisoners of Zion (especially we all know who) will be delivered out of jail and be with us!

    Not necessarily in that order!
