Our Choices Are Not Without Consequences

13 Sivan 5779

Do you wonder at the plagues that have befallen us in Eretz Yisrael?

Record numbers of construction accidents resulting in deaths
Record numbers of auto accidents with deaths
Record numbers of fires
Vandalism and destruction of synagogues and Torah scrolls
So many deaths of children by various means

...And the Lord said to [the recording angel], "Pass through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and you shall mark a sign upon the foreheads of the men who are sighing and moaning over all the abominations that were done in its midst."
And to [the destroying angels], He said in my ears, "Pass through the city after him and smite; let your eye spare not and have no pity. Old man, young man, and maiden, young children and women, you shall slay utterly, but to any man upon whom there is the mark you shall not draw near, and you shall commence from My sanctuary." So they commenced from the old men who were before the House.
... "The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land has become full of bloodshed, and the city has become full of perversion, for they said, 'The Lord has forsaken the earth, and the Lord does not see.' I too - My eye will not spare, neither will I have pity; I have placed their way on their head." (Yechezkel 9.4-6, 9-10)

  1. For those who both care and have money to spare for this cause:

There is a building on Har Tzion (!!!) that has gays in it, and Diaspora Yeshiva wants to buy the building and replace those in it with DY or Machon Roni (women's division) students. Please check out the "donate" options here. Thank you in advance for the mitzvah of helping clear Yerushalayim - particularly at its heart - of the tumah!

  3. Yakov, this tzorah is worldwide but when it actually happens in EY, and in Ir HaKodesh, they have crossed every line and unless they do immediate teshuva, how can there be forgiveness. How can H' forgive those who purposely push forward with such vehmence and determination to go against Biblical prohibitions in the City of H'. One who fears not H' and slaps Him in His Face (so to speak), obviously has no G-D or is at war with Him! In the meantime, the innocent are paying the price but they will have the World to Come; what can these evildoers say who have 'nothing'. We know that evil is only temporary, whereas goodness is eternal!
