"Egypt" Loses Its Power Over Israel on the 15th of Nissan

"...and on the 15th of Nisan they will in the future be redeemed from subjugation to exile.” (Tanhuma, Bo 9)

UPDATE! A more recent JPost report gives us some idea of possible US expectations for the Jerusalem pay-off:
"another of Bannon’s top priorities was something that hasn’t happened yet: moving the US Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv.
That would surely please some of Trump’s right-wing Jewish supporters. But they probably wouldn’t like what Bannon proposed next — ceding the West Bank to Jordan and giving control of the Gaza Strip to Egypt."
HKB"H certainly has a sense of humor though. It's usually the unruly Arabs themselves who save us from the treacherous kiss of Eisav

“As an example, we pay the Palestinians hundred of millions of dollars a year and get no appreciation or respect. They don’t even want to negotiate a long overdue peace treaty with Israel. We have taken Jerusalem, the toughest part of the negotiation, off the table, but Israel, for that, would have had to pay more. But with the Palestinians no longer willing to talk peace, why should we make any of these massive future payments to them?” (Source)

The cost of your happy celebration over Jerusalem being "recognized" as Israel's capital by US Pres Trump with no changes to State Dept policies and no guarantee the embassy will ever move (as if that had any meaning anyway) is yet to be determined. Hashem yerachem!

The only comfort here is that at least events are transpiring rapidly.
