8 Tevet 5786
The First of Three Fast Days
"Justice, justice, you shall pursue...." (Tzedek, tzedek tirdof) is a prominent Torah mitzvah found in Devarim 16.20. It instructs the Hebrews to establish a just society, emphasizing the active, righteous pursuit of fairness. The phrase is a central theme in Jewish ethics.
Furthermore, it is a condition for the land remaining in our hands: "Justice, justice shall you pursue, that you may live and possess the land the Lord, your God, is giving you."
The least all of us can do is join the public outcry for justice in the case of 15-year-old Ahuvia Sandak who was murdered by Israeli security agents.

May his memory be a blessing forever
for all who knew him and the entire Klal Yisrael!!
