NEVER BEFORE...

1 Av 5777
Rosh Chodesh

Never before, to my knowledge or experience, have world events been so centered on the Temple Mount davka during this time period like it has this year. May it only be an omen for good for Am Yisrael and may we hear only good news!

  4. Two years ago, Rabbi Baruch Abuhatzeira said the following:

It is finished and from today on, the years in which Ishmael (the Arabs) rule over the Jews are finished,” he stated. “There are signs the Messiah is imminent.

“Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (a sage from the Second Temple period) said that the ministering angel of Ishmael stood in front of God and petitioned him, saying, ‘Anyone who does a mitzvah (good deed) should receive a reward. Ishmael circumcised himself. And not just at eight days, but when he was 13 years old! Does he not earn merit for this?’”

Rabbi Baruch taught, “The Zohar* says that God answered, saying that the land of Israel will be given to them during the time that it will be empty of Jews, after the destruction of the Temple.”

“That is exactly what happened,” he continued. “God gave Ishmael 100 years for every year until he was circumcised; 1,300 years to rule in the land of Israel. Now we see that the end of this time has come. They were here, they ruled over the land, they received their reward, now it is time for the Nation of Israel to rule in their land. It is time for the messiah and the redemption, when Israel will rule over all of the land. Not this part belonging to them and this part belonging to us.”

Rabbi Baruch concluded his message with a special blessing: “With G-d’s blessing, we will merit seeing this with our own eyes, the arrival of the Messiah, who will subdue them and send them out from our land” (http://bit.ly/2gXEr4P).

Regarding the Temple Mount, the Zohar predicts that the “Sons of Ishmael” (Arabs) will make war against the Messiah, and will “come and bow down before G-d at the holy mountain in Jerusalem”. The Zohar specifically uses the name of the God of the Jews, and not a generic term or the expression used for non-Jewish worship (http://bit.ly/2upVDEM).

    A practical halacha:

Around 113 years ago, Rav Yisroel Meir (HaKohein) Kagan said, “Even after the Beis HaMikdosh was destroyed; the Mount upon which the Beis HaMikdosh stood still retains its special sanctity. Therefore today, while we are still in a state of ritual defilement, it is strictly forbidden for a Jew to enter the Temple Mount” (Mishnah Berurah 561:5 - http://bit.ly/2tTNepU).

Rav Avraham Yitzhak HaKohein Kook in the 1920s banned Jews from visiting the site out of a concern that they may inadvertently step into an area which in Jewish law is forbidden to enter unless a specific ritual purification ceremony is performed (http://bit.ly/1CBNuMn). In the June 1967 Six Day War, 50 rabbonim signed a p’sak prohibiting one from visiting Har HaBayis (http://bit.ly/1DmTtDs).

If anyone can, please find me an authentic Torah scholar who permits going onto the Temple Mount.
