Let the Truth Frame the Narrative!

9 Tammuz 5786

People who continue to argue whether chareidi men have any Torah obligation to serve in a Jewish army to protect the Jewish people are missing the point altogether.  Israel is not a "Jewish" State and there is no "Jewish" army, and what they are trying to force these young men to do is join their fight against their own families and institutions which, when it comes down to it, is actually war against HKB"H himself!!

They mean to assimilate chareidi Jews out of existence in their so-called "Jewish" State that's not!

Police Reviewing ‘Urban Intifada’ Remarks After Goldknopf Demands Criminal Investigation

Israeli police have begun reviewing calls for an “urban intifada” against the chareidi community after United Torah Judaism chairman Yitzchok Goldknopf demanded a criminal investigation into former Arad Mayor Nissan Ben Hamo over remarks he said amounted to incitement.

...The outcome of that examination remains unclear, and no decision has yet been announced regarding whether a formal criminal investigation will be opened.

The wives of soldiers serving in Lebanon published a photo showing mixed sleeping arrangements in the quarters of an armored battalion commander in Lebanon, Arutz Sheva reported.

The footage shows a female soldier sleeping next to male soldiers in close proximity, with the foot of her bed literally touching the male soldiers’ beds.

The footage, which reached the wives of soldiers in the battalion, caused a public uproar.

The wife of one of the soldiers wrote: “The battalion commander is religious. I send my husband to fight and trust him 100 percent, but this is inanity and an abnormal situation that he is forced to sleep in the same room with a woman, head-to-toe. Where are the elected officials? Where is the Chief Military Rabbi?”

The following excerpt was publicized via the "Anglos for Bennett" Facebook group today...

“In order to repair Israel, a New Contract is needed - a reconstruction project for state systems - that restores Israel as safe and successful. We know exactly how to do this and restore hope for the people of Israel.”
....“There will be a New Contract here when it comes to integrating the ultra-Orthodox. Under this new contract, we’ll dismantle the ultra-Orthodox state within a state. We’ll build here one Jewish state – democratic, prosperous and strong.”
“Look - when it comes to the state’s relationship with the ultra-Orthodox, we’re on a slow-walking path towards suicide. Over the years, an independent, anti-Zionist ultra-Orthodox state has arisen under our noses, funded by the state. It’s insane!”

This campaign of rebranding yeshivah students as criminals - "draft dodgers/ draft evaders" - is a tactic for destroying the Torah world.  As such, it must be fought by every Torah-loving/Torah observing Jew!

I'm unconvinced that Kaplan-style protests or automobile caravans are the way to do it, but at least somebody is trying to do something and hopefully, as a result, Hashem will take mercy on us and bring us Mashiach to lead and guide us on what should properly be done.

RELATED:  Bennett calls to dismantle illegal settlement outposts

...“What’s on state land, and is done in a legal manner, I give it my blessing. I’m in favor of legal settlement in Area C,” he maintained.

...“In my vision, ultimately Area C will be part of the State of Israel, Areas A and B will be part of a Palestinian autonomy,” Bennett told Kan.

THE WAR OF THOUGHTS - PART 3: BATTLE FOR JUDAISM

Also, found this in one I wrote in 2025: MK Reveals The Plan: “We Need To Change Chareidi Chinuch So Bnei Yeshivos Will Serve In IDF”

You'll find this one of interest, too: The Golden Calf Comes to Geulah

In a perfect world, meaning were this really a Jewish State with a Jewish army operating under Torah Law, rather than a calculated attack on the Torah itself, this controversy would not even exist.

  2. Am I the only one disturbed by Bennett and Lapid's movement being called הברית החדשה?

  3. Let me first say that I am 1000% opposed to blocking highways. I don't care if it yeshiva bochorim, kaplanists, socialists, democrats, blue people, red, white green, or Martians. It should be illegal and all offenders should be put on buses and sent to jail. Two weeks ago I was traveling home from Yerushalayim north to Yavne'el. I left at 4 pm and arrived at 11:45 pm. For 4 hours we were stranded on the highway. There were families with children who were thirsty or needed to go to the bathroom. I myself desperately needed to go to the bathroom. At 72 the bladder doesn't hold as much as it did at age 20. There wasn't a tree or bush in sight. So I lose all sympathy, and so do most people who actually don't care one way the other when they are blocked for hours from home, work, bathrooms, the hospital, whatever. Secondly, whatever happened to Hashem runs the world? They should be sitting on the floor in yeshiva, like it's Tisha b'Av, crying out to Hashem, fasting, demonstrating emunah to the seculars. Thirdly, I don't understand why women want to degrade themselves with this stupid counterprotest of taking off clothes. I saw it that day, and have seen it previously. Is this all they know about Orthodox Jewry? That men don't look at other women? About the mixed units, I read a year or so ago that male soldiers, not necessarily religious, were writing their wives and complaining about female soldiers walking around undressed and behaving provocatively. They talked about the stress this was putting on them. I've always been opposed to mix units, religious or not. It's war, not a harem. Oh, and about Bennett, I trust that Hashem will take care of him. He will not be the next PM. If he is, then we might all be destroyed. Because he will order that marriage contracts be written for homosexuals. It's one of his campaign promises.

  4. Here is a reminder of Bennett's Plan. (map) He wants to give autonomy to some Arabs and citizenship to others. Has this changed?

  6. This is from 2012. Say no to Jewish Hezbollah

And this is from this year, trying to expose the true objectives of the IDF.

Years ago, Labor MK Haim Ramon discovered this as well.

Yair Golan has explicitly stated his goal for Haredim, integration into Israeli society. Integration is a polite word.

  7. What! Does Bennet want another Gush Katif, Amona. Is he speaking with his inner Sharon.

  8. The Zionist agenda has been widdling away at the Torah way of living from its onslaught. This is the erev rav credo. And the “Reform” have spent years (over 70) devising methods to weaken and splinter our devotion to the Torah and HKB”H. We have just arrived at the final border between them and us. And that is the street. Fight we must! But what is the most effective way? A greater division between “us” and “them” is necessary. Greater heads need to get together to devise a more effective strategy. The old fashioned ghetto worked. Neshama

    1. We're not going into ghettos, chas v'shalom. I think separation just means by focusing on our avoda and behavior. I recently saw a video clip of Rav Amnon Yitzchak. He talked about how much we frum Jews participate or enjoy goyishe/secular entertainment that has nothing to do with Judaism or Torah. So I think we can start there, by just walking our derech and staying away from stuff that not only is a waste of time, but also damages our neshamot. Fist fights in the streets is definitely not the answer.

  9. Just looked over the headlines and I think I see where this is headed down the road. The heads of the dati-leumi pre-military yeshivahs were invited to a meeting with the IDF Chief of Staff, but refused to go when the most prestigious of them was NOT invited. He had issued a letter to his students telling them not to enlist to Sayaret Matkal because it was now a mixed unit.

The insistence of keeping the men and women separate are going to be a problem when they disallow religious women's exemptions. They are already crying about how they are short too many soldiers so they have to recruit women to combat roles.

In the interest of "equality", once the exemption for Torah study has been removed and the chesder program has been discontinued as it stands today, what is left? No exemptions for religious girls. Mark my words.

    1. Which yeshiva? Bnei David? What is interesting is that the mechinot (pre-IDF) programs are generally the most loyal to the State. I can't think of a one that supported refusing order to expel Jews from Gaza and the Northern Shomron in 2005.

Thanks to Rabbi Tzvi Tau shlit"a, and known mamlakhti (State loyalist) rabbinic leader, they have been waking up to the problems with the IDF.

    2. I have high hopes that the datti leumi's issues with the IDF and the Haredi communities issues with the IDF will bring us toward some sense of unity.
