Parashat Shelach
Following the evil report delivered by the meraglim...
"All the Children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron, and the entire assembly said to them, "If only we had died in the land of Egypt, or if only we had died in this Wilderness!..." (Bamidbar 14.2)
And so they did over the span of the next 39 years. But going back to Egypt was never an option.
