'Israeli terrorists': Why the Qusra controversy angered the US

The roots of the crisis

At the center of the current controversy is the Tel Talpiot outpost, near the Palestinian villages of Qusra and Jalud. The outpost has been evacuated several times over the past two years, but each time settlers returned to the site and reestablished it.

The latest escalation began in recent days, when the settlers went beyond simply returning to the original outpost site and began expanding their presence. They erected tents very close to homes in Qusra, including one directly on a Palestinian access path. Local residents said the new Israeli presence had frightened them and, in practice, restricted the movement of several families.

IDF response

The IDF responded forcefully. Even before the tents were evacuated, the IDF Spokesperson issued an unusually severe statement describing the settlers' actions as "illegal, reprehensible and unacceptable activity that harms the residents of the villages and the fabric of their lives."

In response to the tensions, the IDF took several significant steps.

A closed military zone order was imposed on the area, barring entry to anyone who was not a local resident. On Wednesday, IDF and Border Police forces arrived at the site, closed down the tent erected on the access path and evacuated the position. The military also decided to reinforce the sector with an additional infantry battalion in an effort to restore order and operational control and prevent further incidents, while placing additional forces on alert.

Troubling incidents on the ground

The events in Qusra also included several other problematic incidents. Footage circulated in recent days showed soldiers who had arrived at the site praying together with settlers inside one of the tents. The IDF said the incident was under review and made clear that if reserve or active-duty soldiers were found to have participated in illegal activity, they would face disciplinary action.

The US angle

Huckabee's comments have now added an extraordinary diplomatic dimension to what had been a local incident. The US ambassador, long identified with strong support for Israel and the settlement movement, used the highly charged term "Israeli terrorists" and disclosed that the US Embassy had approached Israeli authorities and asked them to remove those involved.

...The Qusra incident, which began with the reestablishment and expansion of an outpost that had previously been evacuated, has thus become an issue involving both the IDF and the US Embassy in Israel.

Residents Reject “Siege” Claim; Huckabee Issues Harsh Statement

The media has been in an uproar for several days over an Arab from the murderous Palestinian village of Qusra who claims that “settlers are laying siege to his home.” The incident has developed into a major diplomatic clash, especially since one of the members of the Palestinian family holds US citizenship. 

...It should be noted that the Palestinian homeowner at the center of the incident has been involved in multiple violent attacks on Jews.

Local Jewish residents reject the account that the house is under siege and argue that the picture being presented in the media and on social media is partial and detached from the security and regional context on the ground.

A source familiar with the details told JDN News that the house in question is not located within the built-up area of Qusra, but in a remote location on Jabal Ein Eina, which overlooks the entire Shiloh bloc and is considered a strategically significant point in the area. According to the source, the scattered Palestinian structures in the area were built as part of an effort by the Palestinian Authority and nearby villages to establish a foothold on the strategic mountain.

“There was no siege whatsoever on the house,” the source said, saying that the structure was erected nearby for Jewish shepherds to use for shade during the summer. He added that the residents of the house were able to enter and leave and that no one prevented their movement.

It's well worth reading the whole long article.  Some reports remark on the "surprise" experienced by Huckabee's strong reaction considering his "love for Israel" and "support for the settlement enterprise."

This is not the first time we've seen this.  Have we already so soon forgotten the "burned church" blood libel that he condemned and never corrected once the facts were out?

The fact is that all of our Eisavian "friends" only "love" and "support" us as long as we look like them. talk like them, behave like them and take our orders from them and never attempt to exceed the limitations they impose on us.

US Ambassador Mike Huckabee delivered the commencement address at New York’s Yeshiva University on Thursday, where he was awarded the Presidential Medallion.

President Ari Berman opened the ceremony and invited Huckabee to the stage. Berman presented the US ambassador with the Presidential Medallion, the university’s highest honor for global leadership.

In his own address, Berman praised Huckabee for his dedication to the Jewish people and the State of Israel.

This is a man who has spent his entire life selling the idolatrous Gee-Zeus lie to the world and who lends his name and reputation to the most anti-Jewish missionary organization - One For Israel.

Report: US and Israel ‘Actively Working’ to Strip Jordan of Al-Aqsa Custodianship

A report published by Middle East Eye claims that the United States and Israel are quietly advancing a dramatic proposal that would dismantle Jordan’s longstanding custodianship over the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex in Yerushalayim and replace it with a new governing structure more closely aligned with Israeli oversight and interests.

According to multiple American, Jordanian, Palestinian, Gulf Arab, and Western sources cited in the report, the initiative is being championed by President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee. The proposal would reportedly end the authority of the Jordanian-backed Islamic Waqf and establish a new Israeli-created administrative body that would redefine the Al-Aqsa compound as a “multi-faith centre.”

...Two American officials told the outlet that Washington had already prepared a draft outlining its vision for the future of the compound. According to those sources, the Trump administration envisions transforming Al-Aqsa from an exclusively Muslim religious site into a tourist destination representing all three Abrahamic faiths.

According to those sources, Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco, and the United Arab Emirates have already been briefed on the American initiative.

However, two Gulf Arab sources and another individual familiar with Jordanian deliberations said Saudi Arabia strongly opposes the proposal, viewing it as dangerously destabilizing.

Sources cited in the report said Israel first presented the concept to the Trump administration nearly ten years ago, but that the effort intensified after Huckabee assumed his diplomatic post last year. According to the report, Huckabee “repeatedly” urged Washington to move forward with the plan.

Israel condemns soldier's desecration of crucifix in south Lebanon

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the soldier's actions went against Jewish values of tolerance and that he will be punished.

"I was stunned and saddened to learn that an IDF soldier damaged a Catholic religious icon in southern Lebanon. I condemn the act in the strongest terms," he wrote on the social media site X.

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said on X that "swift, severe, and public consequences are needed."  [This from the Official US Idolater in Israel.]

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said the soldier's actions were disgraceful and shameful. "We apologize for this incident and to every Christian whose feelings were hurt," Saar said on X.

Both Rubio and Huckabee have an interest in Ir David and the Temple Mount beyond it being, according to them, an American Heritage Site Abroad.  The so-called "Pilgrimage Road" could just as easily be seen to refer to Chr*stian pilgrims as Jewish ones.  They revere it because their god walked upon it.

"Desperate people do desperate things": Huckabee warns of West Bank collapse 

...Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, an ultranationalist anti-Palestinian settler, has taken many steps over the last two years to weaken the Palestinian Authority, as he's promoted annexation of the West Bank by Israel.

In the last four months, Smotrich has withheld hundreds of millions in tax revenues collected by Israel for the PA. He's also moved to cut Palestinian banks off from the Israeli financial system, though the Cabinet has yet to approve that step.

I...The collapse of the Palestinian economy and banking system could bring down the Palestinian Authority, creating a power vacuum that could throw the West Bank into chaos and exacerbate the conflict in the region.

Behind the scenes: Huckabee told Axios he's been negotiating with Israeli and Palestinian officials on a deal to release the Palestinian funds, remove the threat to Palestinian banks and decrease the risk of economic collapse.

Huckabee met with Smotrich and other Israeli officials. He traveled to Ramallah for meetings with Palestinian Vice President Hussein al-Sheikh and Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa.

"Ambassador Huckabee told Palestinian leaders that he stressed to Israeli officials that the U.S. does not want to see financial collapse of the Palestinian Authority and said he will keep pressing," a senior Palestinian official told Axios.

UPDATE!  The Israel Police spokesperson announced on Monday evening, "Contrary to false reports and following recent foreign media coverage regarding the alleged arson within the archaeological site of the Church of Saint George in the village of Taybeh, we wish to clarify that these reports are factually incorrect, lack any evidentiary basis, and risk misleading the public."  The spokesperson added that “findings gathered on the ground unequivocally show that no damage or harm was caused to the church site itself.”

Exactly the opposite—Christian Arabs from the village of Taybeh set fire to open areas four times in one week to prevent Jews from grazing there.

Here are the facts:

• The cattle herders at Rimmonim Farm in Binyamin have been suffering for a long time from harassments, attacks, and arsons in the grazing areas, including from the village of Taybeh—a nearby Christian village.

• On 03/07, Arabs from the village set a fire in the grazing areas to prevent the possibility of Jewish grazing there. Additional arsons also occurred on 07/07, 08/07, and 11/07.

• The event that sparked the uproar happened on 07/07. For the second time that week, Arabs from the village set a fire that began spreading rapidly. The farm’s residents rushed to the scene with motorized blowers and fire beaters—the ultimate tools for dealing with fires in open areas—and managed to gain control of the blaze. At the same time, the flames also spread toward the village, but the farm residents insisted on fighting to extinguish that hotspot as well, even though they could have easily said “let them eat the porridge they cooked,” and they stopped the fire just before it reached the line of houses, where, among other things, there is a church and an ancient cemetery.

• Throughout the entire event, no damage was caused in any way to the church or the cemetery, and they certainly weren’t “completely set ablaze” or “suffered heavy damage”—thanks in part to the residents who fought the fire with their bare hands. This is a fact, not an interpretation. See the drone photo that shows it clearly.

• This is where a wild blood libel began, aimed at turning the arson event from Arab-Christian terror into “Jewish terror.”

• Photos of Jewish youths battling the flames with blowers and beaters were published by Israel-haters and branded as “settlers fanning the flames they ignited.” Widespread condemnations ensued, large Christian delegations visited the site, and senior US administration officials called for the Jewish arsonists to be brought to justice.

• But what’s the big problem? To date, not a single complaint has been filed with the police. I’ll repeat that: The police have been investigating the event for a week to uncover the truth and catch the arsonists, a global campaign is underway, and in the village—where they are supposedly 100% convinced that Jews set the fire and even openly fanned the flames—they simply refuse to file a complaint with the police.

URGENT Follow-up to Huckabee Visa Complaints

It is URGENT that as many as possible see the following video evidence of the real consequences of this visa issue which Amb. Huckabee has publicized.  

The Begin Likud government was the first to invite evangelical Chr*stians to build a church in Jerusalem.  It started with an offer of CLERGY VISAS.  (See this 1.5-min video proof.)

US, Israel reach resolution on issue of visas for visiting Christians after row goes public

A solution was reached yesterday to the issue of visas for visiting Christian groups — which dominated headlines last week after a furious letter from US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee was leaked to the press — in a meeting yesterday between the Prime Minister’s Office, the Interior Ministry, and the US embassy, an Israeli lawyer who represents Christians in Israel tells The Times of Israel.

“Thanks to the hard work and fruitful cooperation between the US Ambassador, the Ministry of Interior and the Prime Minister’s Office, a solution has been reached to the satisfaction of all parties,” says Calev Myers. “The Evangelical Christian organizations active in Israel, which represent the vast majority of Zionists in the world today, will receive all of the visas they need through a streamlined and efficient application process.”

In his letter to Interior Minister Moshe Arbel last week, Huckabee threatened to publicly declare that Israel no longer welcomes Christian groups to Israel over what he said was Jerusalem’s failure to approve tourist visas for evangelical missions.

Once again, the issue was never about "tourist" visas for Chr*stians "visiting" Israel.  This is about A3 visas for resident clergy and staff of resident Chr*stian organizations.  This one did manage to get one thing right when they called them "missions"!! 

CLERGY VISA TO ISRAEL

Hundreds, if not thousands, of 'support' staff are now entering on "clergy" visas.  Each person granted one of these visas is allowed to bring spouse and children with them and all of them are eligible for this visa which is only renewed once a year and up to five years.  However, the State is not strict with these rules.  After three years of living in Israel they can apply for citizenship!!

To obtain Israeli citizenship through naturalization as a non-Jew, a resident must live in Israel for three consecutive years with permanent residency status. Additionally, they must demonstrate that Israel is their primary place of residence and prove a certain level of Hebrew language proficiency.

Report: Huckabee blasts Israel for not granting visas to US Christian groups, threatens reciprocal steps

US Ambassador Mike Huckabee has written a scathing letter to Interior Minister Moshe Arbel, blasting his office for not granting visas to Christian groups trying to visit Israel, Channel 12 reports.  ...Huckabee sent copies of his letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Isaac Herzog, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer and Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana.

[Minister Arbel responded]:  “Given the direct line of communication between my staff and your representatives,” writes Arbel, “and in light of the fact that every request received by my office has thus far been handled promptly, I was particularly surprised by the manner in which your concerns were raised — and by your decision to address your letter to a wide range of senior officials without first approaching me or my office directly.”

You can see more details here and here.  If you need more, just Google it.  There must be 20 articles which I did not take the time to read but each one has a threatening, demanding and insulting headline. They clearly wanted the whole world to know!

The thing is, it's being portrayed as an issue of hassling Chr*stian tourists, but nothing could be further from the truth!  Tourists from the United States do not need to pre-apply for a visa to visit Israel. It is automatically granted on arrival and no one asks your religious or political views.

However, if one intends to stay long term, one must leave Israel and re-renter to renew the three-month tourist visa (over and over again) and that is a thorn in the side of the missionaries, especially groups like Hayovel who serve as a conduit for funneling in so-called Christian Zionist (Judeo-Chr*stian) agricultural workers. 

The only visa presently available for long term Chr*stian workers is the A3...

Eligibility Criteria: A/3 Clergy Visa - Must be invited by an established and recognized religious organization in Israel. Must provide evidence of their suitability for the religious assignment, such as ordination credentials or theological school certificates. May need to undergo an interview at an Israeli mission.

From what I've been able to gather there might have been some kind of "understanding" about the possible granting of blocks of visas to organizations to be disbursed as they saw fit.  If anyone has any actual proof of this, please forward it to me.

...A similar problem had appeared to have been solved almost two years ago, when ministry officials apologized and vowed to streamline the process of issuing clerical visas to Christian organizations, which enables their staff to stay and work in Israel for a period of several years.

...According to quotes from Huckabee’s letter published by Israeli media, the ministry had subjected each organization to independent, detailed and bureaucratic investigation processes, requiring documentation of their religious beliefs and activities in Israel. For the duration of these processes, the groups were reportedly denied new visas.

"As of the beginning of 2025, the Visa Department has stopped honoring the recommendations and has launched an independent investigation of each of the evangelical organizations to determine whether they should be recognized as religious institutions and whether they should continue to receive visas. This includes organizations such as the Baptist Conference in Israel, the Christian Missionary Alliance and others, some of which have been active here since before 1948. The vast majority of them are located in the United States. All of them were required to fill out huge questionnaires. To my knowledge, none of them have received new A3 visas for religious leaders since the beginning of the year. We simply requested that the visa department return to status quo," Huckabee wrote.

“As the U.S. Ambassador representing President Donald Trump, I am formally demanding that this deteriorating relationship with the Department of State be resolved so that this matter does not escalate further,” Huckabee added. “It would be deeply regrettable if our embassy were to be forced to publicly announce throughout the United States that the State of Israel no longer welcomes Christian organizations and their representatives and that, instead, it is engaging in harassment and negative treatment of organizations with longstanding ties and positive engagement with Zionism. We will be further obligated to warn Christians in America that their generous donations to organizations in Israel are being met with hostility, and that tourists should reconsider travel until the situation is clearly resolved.”

Such inciteful language no doubt helped to fuel Matt Gaetz's diatribe based on the false narrative suggested by the Ambassador's skewed version of events and the very unprofessional way he has chosen to deal with it.

The US war on terror was to get rid of "extremists", anyone who wouldn't submit to the global world order under Esav. Israel has been continuing this mission. We have been doing "the dirty work" for Esav in Gaza, Lebanon and now the "west bank". Of course along with the Arab extremists in the west bank, they will have to eliminate the Jewish extremists. But that's on stage one of a multi-stage process. The next stage is reprogramming and indoctrinating the future generations of Arabs and Jews into Esav's world view/philosophy/religion. Their philosophy includes replacing Judaism with Judeo-xianity which values co-existence and even intermarriage. This is the assimilation (and ultimately destruction) long con. This is where the messianics, missionaries and dominionists come in to transform our society. Heather Johnston (JH Israel/AGES - Alternate Gaza Education System) is a big part of this but so is Mike Huckabee and Johnnie Moore. Interesting Johnston's area is Yehudah v'Shomron, Huckabee's is Jerusalem and Moore for Gaza.

Wherever the US intervenes, the missionaries follow right behind. Like the Arabs claim, Israel has become an American outpost for the export of its culture into the Arab-Muslim Middle East. JH Israel built their headquarters here and began their first program of indoctrination starting with the Jews.

Teaching coexistence, not hate: U.S. organization designs alternative to UNRWA schools

...In the wake of a suspension of American funding for UNRWA— the United Nations aid and social services agency for Palestinians, which schools over 291,000 students in 183 facilities in the Gaza Strip — questions have arisen over which entity should assume responsibility for Gazan education, especially if Israel succeeds in eliminating Hamas rule.

In response, the USIEA issued a white paper earlier this month laying out its proposed Alternate Gazan Education System (AGES) Fund.

...“As discussions began to come out about the day-after, while recognizing that we don't know exactly when the day after will begin, planning for that day-after is definitely important, and something that we felt we needed to have our voice included on.”

That brought about the development of the AGES Fund, which, according to the white paper, “seeks to reform the Gazan education system through several key parameters including a strong coalition of international partners, curriculum in textbooks, and teachers. The goal should be ‘Teaching to Coexist’ instead of ‘Teaching to Hate.’”  [See more here.]

Lapid: Israel may be secretly funding agencies involved in Gaza aid distribution

Opposition head MK Yair Lapid questioned the government about the source of funding for two agencies involved in the government’s plan to distribute aid in the Gaza Strip, during a Knesset plenum debate on Monday.

Lapid questioned whether Israel had secretly financed humanitarian aid to Gaza through two shell companies, Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF) and Safe Reach Solutions (SRS), established in Switzerland and the US. According to Lapid, Gulf states were expected to fund the aid but declined, citing concerns about the companies’ structure.

Despite this, $100 million appeared in the organizations' budgets, with GHF’s CEO Jake Wood claiming the money came from "a country in western Europe," though no nation has acknowledged it. Wood later resigned, saying the aid plan couldn't fully adhere to humanitarian principles.

Lapid: Government may be deceiving Israeli citizens on Gaza aid

“If this money is indeed Israeli and the government is concealing it, it would not only be a deception of Israeli citizens—whose taxes fund it—but also one of the greatest diplomatic blunders in the country’s history,” Lapid said.

“If our tax money is already purchasing humanitarian aid, funding food and medicine for children in Gaza, then let's at least gain international recognition for it. For once, let’s have global headlines highlighting something positive Israel has done in Gaza.”

“Perhaps [National Security Minister Itamar] Ben-Gvir and [National Missions Minister Orit] Strock won’t like it, and maybe Smotrich fears people finding out he authorized the transfer, but the money has already been sent. This benefits Israeli public diplomacy, strengthens foreign relations, and even aligns with Jewish values,” Lapid said.

“The Israeli government should proudly declare that it funds these two organizations and do what it hates most—take responsibility for its actions and accept the consequences,” the opposition leader concluded.

The source of funding for a humanitarian aid initiative in Gaza remains unclear, raising questions about transparency and Israeli involvement. While U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee confirmed that “several parties have committed to providing funding,” those parties have chosen to remain anonymous. Separately, a spokesperson for the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) claimed that a "foreign country" had pledged $100 million but declined to name said nation.

...When asked about the funding during the announcement of the new distribution method two and a half weeks ago, Huckabee responded: “It will come from wherever we can secure it. Several parties have already committed to assisting with funding, but they currently don’t want to be identified. When they’re ready, we’ll publish it, or they will publish it themselves.”

GHF, which has faced turmoil following an investigation in Switzerland regarding its activities, recently announced it would now operate through an American nonprofit with the same name. Last week, the organization’s spokesperson reiterated that a foreign country had pledged $100 million for future activities but refused to disclose which country.

...Avigdor Liberman, leader of Yisrael Beiteinu, alleged Mossad was funding the initiative. 

...Bezalel Smotrich, leader of the Religious Zionism party, described the opening of the distribution centers as “a turning point in the war that will lead to Hamas’ destruction.”

...Questions about Israeli involvement in the program have persisted, with reports suggesting that what was initially presented as an American-led aid initiative may have deeper ties to Israel. According to The Washington Post, as early as late 2023, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) began promoting a “humanitarian bubbles” program, spearheaded by then-Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, which resembles the current initiative.

A secret document prepared by the GHF foundation, as reported by The Washington Post, outlined strategies to engage Western countries, identified Arab influencers to promote the program, and created messaging guidelines. The document noted, “We need to be ready to answer questions about how a nonprofit that no one had heard of received special approvals from the Israeli government.”

The New York Times reported that discussions about the program began approximately 18 months ago in private meetings involving military officers, businesspeople, and other individuals with close ties to the Israeli government. This group, referred to as the Mikveh Israel Forum, held its first gathering in December 2023.

The forum reportedly included Yotam Cohen, a strategic advisor who joined COGAT and is the son of retired Major General Gershon Hacohen; Liran Tankman, a tech entrepreneur and investor described as “well-connected”; and Michael Eisenberg, a prominent Israeli venture capital investor.

According to the report, Cohen quickly became an aide to Brigadier General Roman Gofman, then a senior commander in COGAT. Gofman was later promoted to major general and now serves as Netanyahu’s military secretary. In June, Cohen published an article in a journal affiliated with the IDF’s Dado Center for Interdisciplinary Military Studies, outlining a vision for humanitarian aid distribution in Gaza that closely resembles the current program.

Gofman’s name also appeared in a Haaretz investigation, which revealed that SRS was selected to manage the aid program through a secretive process that bypassed traditional channels, including COGAT. The selection reportedly excluded the IDF and the Ministry of Defense, and was overseen by Gofman alongside a team of reserve officers and businesspeople recruited to advance the initiative.

A separate investigation by Shomrim, published on Ynet, revealed that the individuals behind the Swiss GHF nonprofit, which had previously established a similarly named entity in Delaware, recently decided to permanently shut down both organizations. According to a GHF spokesperson, the foundation will now operate through a third entity registered in the United States in February 2024. This new entity, also named GHF, is expected to receive the donations for the foundation, though the sources of these donations remain undisclosed.
