The Israeli Voice of America, aka The Jerusalem Post, goes overkill on the condemnations just to be sure no one makes the mistake of thinking our overlords, the Americans, will stand for us acting like sovereign Jews in our own Land. Next thing, Zvi will be labeled a "terrorist". That's ok, So were the Maccabim. He is already being called The Hammer by his supporters. And it's not even close to Hanukkah yet!!

ReplyDeleteAt this time of history, the Torah understanding Jew can be compared to Avraham Avinu, as he was on one side of the world and whereas the rest of the world including the typical 'galut' mentaliity Jew are on the opposite side of the world.

ReplyDeleteI totally commend him for his actions. Shows at least one MK with some backbone. Personally, I have never had such a high view of Smotrich. I think he is a total fraud.
ReplyDeleteIt happens to every politician. On the other hand, Smotrich is quietly building up Jewish presence in Judea and Shomron. He needs to appear to toe the line so he can continue under the radar. He's foxy.

There is so much to say about this, and I might in a post.
ReplyDeleteCertainly, this does bring to mind Matitiyahu Kohen Gadol taking out the one making the foreign sacrifice, against the government's wishes.
But even secular Jews should recall that Menachem Begin and Yitzhaq Shamir were considered terrorists. Even some of them have been fighting the double standards. Jews are called terrorists. Arabs are called freedom fighters.
