14 Menachem Av 5786
In line with the title, this is a follow-up to the previous blog post. There is quite a lot of neglected work that needs to be done before any serious attempt to rebuild the Beit Hamikdash can take place.
Despite decades of warnings and appeals, there is a viper's nest in the midst of the Shomron that just keeps growing and growing, putting more and more Jews at life risk.
Please revisit this 2011 article: Har Bracha residents: Chr*stians Out!
One year ago, HaRav Dov Lior, shlita, issued a psak din: "it is forbidden to cooperate with or accept any support or assistance from the organization "HaYovel." (See A Decision 20 Years in the Making).
Instantaneously, "Hayovel" was rebranded as "The Israel Guys" and business proceeded as usual.
Despite the firm belief of millions of righteous Jews who live here, Israel is not a Jewish State. Jews are obligated to observe Torah Law and any purportedly Jewish country would be bound by that same law which, like Rav Lior's psak din, would forbid the establishment of a Chr*stian "base of operations" in the midst of a Jewish yishuv.
However, the secular Western-democratic system that currently holds sway here does not allow us to expel the Chr*stians. So what do we do? We go after the Jews who enable them.
As a first step, until we have the proper form of government for the Jewish nation, we have a tool that was used very effectively in the Diaspora. I propose we make holy use of the herem. After all, we all want to rebuild the Beit Hamikdash don't we? Do you really imagine it will stand in the absence of the imposition of Torah Law in society at large? Surely, this is an appropriate step in the right direction!
...[T]he term herem ... [indicates] the act of excommunicating people who disobeyed the law or authorities. If the elders and rabbis of a community believed a person to be disobedient, the offender was punished by being forced into isolation, removed from the community at large. The excommunication could last anywhere from a day to a lifetime, depending on the urgency of the convicted act. Once the allotted time has elapse the individual may return to the community as long as he repents for his actions.
If my suggestion makes you the least bit queasy or squeamish at the very idea, I don't want to hear anything more from you about Har Habayit construction! It is not a serious subject for discussion - YET!! Most unfortunately.

After knowing exactly who they are and what they do, I still do not understand how the Rav of Har Bracha allows them to remain there and continue their activities.

DeleteI would think that the Psak of R Dov Lior would mean something.

The Yerushalmi says sinas chinam AND love of money were responsible for the churban.
DeleteMoney may be (and likely is) involved, but my guess is it's more political. Orders coming down from the PM's office which is in response to orders coming down from Washington, DC.
DeleteYou can bet that Huckabee will be at the party on July 30th.
It's as if Hashem has blinded his eyes. He wrote a piece about this a while ago, both on his own blog and a7. He said that anyone who doesn't accept these people, wont' accept Moshiach. He said that they (the missionaries) are part of the redemptive process. He doesn't call them missionaries, but forget exactly, maybe the nations.
DeleteRegarding money, he said that no money was accepted, but they work as volunteers.
Yet if volunteer work replaces what would otherwise be paid labour, that is payment in kind.
Link to 2011 article is broken or dose not exist. Abraham
ReplyDeleteIt's working now. Thanks.
DeleteDid Rav Lior actually restrict his psak to HaYovel specifically, or was it a blanket prohibition, regardless of the nom du jour?
ReplyDeleteThere is a copy of it at the embedded link. They are using both names to make the connection clear to their followers. The intent is the Rav's part is also clear, but some may see it as a means around it on a technicality. No such thing exists in reality.

In '48 and '67 when we got back some more of our Land, those arab houses came in handy for many Jewish families. So will any other construction that comes into our hands when the time comes for us to expand our Land and remove unwanted non-geirim squatters. ......Neshama
ReplyDeleteI saw there were online videos by these "Israel guys". After a couple episodes something didn't seem right so I quit watching them. I must say, these Xtians are becoming more and more devious. No doubt to pull more people into their idolatry.

DeleteIn their own words they are absolutely allow to lie to further their goals. They discuss this on their websites. Eg, they are told that if they claim to be a doctor or english teacher, they absolutely have to be dr, teacher etc, and then use it as a vehicle. Particularly reprehensible, they have a whole sub field of medical missionising. They do it in Israel too, with free dental clinics.

As always, the root of the issue, whether regarding missionaries, erev rav, the local security situation, geopolitics, is aliya. It's not a little side issue, nice to have, its' the root. The more Jews there are in EY keeping Torah and mitzvot the stonger our physical and spiritual and political hold on the land. Frum Jews who refuse to make aliya, thus keeping their zechuyot hostage to the ministers of the nations where they live, are the problem.
DeleteYet another attack on Jews in Toronto, bitterly ironcially on a Jewish security firm. As if Hashem is saying it doesn't matter how much you spend and invest in security, the exile is over. (of course jews should take protective measures as they plan their mass emergency aliya, but as a protective measure in the interim, not as the plan to cling to the galut into perpetuity.)
Years ago i commented it was time to sell up, pack up and pick up. The time for selling up is winding down, and even that do it at a reduced price for a quick sale and count yourself lucky. And obviously don't sell to another jew.
Your country needs you.

Very interesting situation we are in it.
ReplyDeleteIt's time for real Jews from all spectrums, to overthrow the burden of the sodomite judicial hunta.
Demolish the pyramid, clean the Land from the sodomite judges.
