49 Days of the Omer
Erev Chag Shavuot
Just a few thoughts before the chag...
The War with Iran began on the final day of February, 11 Adar, parashat Zachor. A ceasefire was accepted on Shvi'i shel Pesach, the day the Egyptians drowned in the sea and we were truly free. It has lasted throughout Purim, Pesach and the entire period of Counting the Omer.
Time and time again, we were on the very verge of renewing the battle, but delay after delay let the relative quiet continue. It feels like tonight, the fiftieth day - SHAVUOT - the day on which we annually renew the covenant we made at Har Sinai to be faithful to HKB"H and His Torah, may become another turning point on the the path to our complete redemption.
And we have an opportunity to observe two Shabbats in a row. Just do a little more, something more to show HKB"H that we are serious about teshuvah and ready to take the next steps.
The fall of the regime at their own hands is a tremendous sign for Mashiach. No more elections unless Mashiach is chosen as King of Israel!!
Speedily in our days!!!!
