Shavua Tov!
TU b'Shevat is the next holiday coming up . . .
Pray with extra kavanah for rain. We are in the worst drought I've seen in my almost 30 years here. A major system is currently on its way and a good cold rain is being forecast across three days. Please Hashem!
Neshama: We might be in for a slight DROUGHT before the Great and Awesome Day. Its happened before. The 10 day forecast for K. Belz area is milder rain. Also, usually February/Shevat always has alot of rain for the veggies and the bloomies (Anemones). Just mentioning.
ReplyDeleteI saw the star near the moon last night.... I've never seen something like this before. Is this something very ordinary? How often does it happen?

That's Venus. For months on end it is the morning star and then it passes around the sun and moves to the evening sky becoming the evening star for the next few months. It's always the brightest star in the sky.
Deleteneshama. yes ive seen it in my eastern window in the eaely eve and in my western window i late eve.
DeleteWater Authority says Israel experiencing driest winter in a century
ReplyDeleteThe Water Authority said Sunday that this winter is on course to be the driest in a century, with just 55 percent of the yearly average for this time of year having fallen so far.
Similarly dry conditions were only reported in 2009.
Last month, the level of the Sea of Galilee, Israel’s main freshwater repository, rose by only two centimeters (less than 0.8 of an inch), and the measured flow of the Jordan River was the lowest since 1960....
What happened to the desalination project that was supposed to be so great?
ReplyDeleteNeshama. i just saw a weather update at and it was for a STORM https://www.israelnationalnews.com/news/403313
ReplyDeleteNeshama. you know HaShem provided us with underground wells of lots of water, as Yitzchak and Yaakov dug those wells. So i'm skeptical about any water shortages. Plus they are purifying Med water for usage.
ReplyDeleteBig storm coming tomorrow. B'ezrat Hashem we'll catch up a little. I'm not so keen on the winds that are predicted but not complaining.
