My most sincere apologies to my readers and especially those who take the time to write comments.  I was beginning to feel like a voice in the wilderness, no email from Blogger with new comments for the last three or so days at least.  Then the penny dropped and I checked the comments section of the blog and sure enough 21 comments awaiting moderation!  I received no notifications by email from Blogger.  It has happened before, but it's rare enough that it's not the first thing I think to check when emails drop off.

I'm so sorry.  Great comments and they all deserve to be seen, so I hope people will try to catch up with it as will I, and I will try to respond to them throughout the day today, as time allows.

Please do keep commenting and letting me know your thoughts and sharing your insights and ideas.  I love hearing from you.

HKB"H Is Making Havdalah

No matter whether it is recognized right now or not. It will become clearer and clearer over time.  HKB"H first set up the test for every person in the world to choose a side - for good or for evil.  [Good and evil have been coexisting side by side since Adam and Hava mixed them up.  The tikkun for that comes at the End of Days when that separation is restored.]

Once the separation has been made, the righteous will be rewarded and the wicked will be punished.  But each person will have chosen his own path by his own free will.  So you could say we judge ourselves and pronounce our own fate.  HKB"H just honors our expressed wishes.  He won't force anyone to live under a Torah regime who is opposed to it, and especially not one who would challenge it and rebel against it.  It's time for peace!

Some people I talk to want to say that HKB"H is making no distinctions between wicked and righteous at this time - the sword of judgment is going to fall upon us all indiscriminately without regard to our faithfulness to Him.  That may have been true for exile, where the righteous, as well as the wicked among our people, met the same fate of expulsion and dispersion.  However, these are not those times.  The prophet Malachi foretells how the birur will proceed at the End of Days...  

..."Still harder did your words strike Me," says the Lord, but you say, 'What have we spoken against You?'  You have said, 'It is futile to serve God, and what profit do we get for keeping His charge and for going about in anxious worry because of the Lord of Hosts?  And now we praise the bold transgressors. Yea, those who work wickedness are built up. Yea, they tempt God, and they have, nevertheless, escaped.'"

Then the God-fearing men spoke to one another, and the Lord hearkened and heard it.  And a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared the Lord and for those who valued His name highly.  "And they shall be Mine," says the Lord of Hosts, "for that day when I make a treasure.  And I will have compassion on them as a man has compassion on his son who serves him.  And you shall return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who has not served Him."

"For lo, the sun comes, glowing like a furnace, and all the audacious sinners and all the perpetrators of wickedness will be stubble. And the sun that comes shall burn them up so that it will leave them neither root nor branch," says the Lord of Hosts.  "And the sun of mercy shall rise with healing in its wings for you who fear My Name. Then will you go forth and be fat as fatted calves."

"And you shall crush the wicked, for they will be as ash under the soles of your feet on the day that I will prepare, says the Lord of Hosts. [i.e., The Day of the L-rd, Judgment Day, GoguMagog.]   

Keep in remembrance the teaching of Moses, My servant - the laws and ordinances which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel.  (Malachi 3:13-22)

Is this really the message our government wants to communicate to the world with this new fashionable "uniform" the leaders of the nation have adopted???  That Israel is really a new iteration of a Nazi-fascist regime???  It certainly reminded me of a Nazi uniform.  The SS wore black exclusively.   

This is really playing into the Leftist-Anarchist protestors' narrative who have been claiming all along that Netanyahu wants to destroy democracy so he can be a dictator.  This just feeds into that.  Is that the idea???

Does anybody know what is going on here???

Stone Edition Chumash: Commentary on Lech Lecha...

This Sidrah begins a new birth of mankind: the story of Abraham and his descendants.  The first two thousand years from Creation were the Era of Desolation.  Adam had fallen, Abel had been murdered, idolatry had been introduced to the world, ten dismal generations had been washed away by the Deluge, and the ten generations from Noah had failed [see Avos 5:2]. 

Abraham was born in the year 1948 from Creation.  In the year 2000 - four years after the Dispersion and six years before the death of Noah - he started to influence disciples to serve Hashem.  With the emergence of Abraham, the Era of Desolation had come to an end and the Era of Torah had begun (Avodah Zarah 9a).

With Abraham there began a profound change in the spiritual nature of mankind.  The plan of Creation was for all human beings to have an equal share in fulfilling the Divine mission and for the Torah to be given to all mankind.  But after twenty generations of failure, the privilege of being God's Chosen People was earned by Abraham and his offspring.  They would receive the Torah and they would be in the vanguard of perfecting the world and bringing all people to accept the sovereignty of the One God [See Avos, ibid.; Derech Hashem].

In my August 3, 2023 blog post For This We Wait, I explained how the World Wars are each connected to one of the 3 Pillars of the Nation:  WW1 - The Land of Israel; WW2 - The People of Israel; and WW3 will be over the Torah of Israel.  They also correspond to the first three Exiles.  (Go back and re-read it for the details,)  Suffice to say that the primary aim of the Greek exile was to separate us from our Holy Torah.

One day, everyone will know that what happened on Simchat Torah was the opening shot of WW3.  We are meant to make the connection to Torah and that is why I won't refer to it as anything other than the Simchat Torah Massacre or the Simchat Torah War.  For me, it's not "October 7th" - that has no meaning for us.  It's not even the Hebrew date.  Again, they want to distance us from our culture and traditions.

The lesson we must learn is that we have not been faithful to our Torah and the World wants to destroy Torah and us - the keepers of the Torah - from the world using everything at hand including this Erev Rav regime.  That's also why one of the main issues of this present conflict is whether yeshivah bachurim learning full time will leave the yeshivahs and take up guns, G-d forbid!!  Even though full-time Torah learners are exempt from even a compulsory war.

Remember, history is not a straight line.  It is a circle.  When we were redeemed from Egypt, we went into the wilderness and received the Torah, confirming a covenant with HKB"H.  This war is going to end with our redemption from world domination and the renewal of the covenant as we receive the Torah, not just in our minds but in our hearts as well.  This is our ultimate goal.  Please keep it uppermost in your thoughts and prayers:

Bring us back, our Father, to Your Torah, and bring us near, our King, to Your service, and influence us to return in perfect repentance before You. Blessed are You, Hashem, Who desires repentance. (Fifth Blessing of the Amidah Prayer - Repentance)

Behold, days are coming, says the Lord, and I will form a covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, a new covenant.

Not like the covenant that I formed with their forefathers on the day I took them by the hand to take them out of the land of Egypt, that they broke My covenant, although I was a lord over them, says the Lord.

For this is the covenant that I will form with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will place My law in their midst and I will inscribe it upon their hearts, and I will be their God and they shall be My people.

Here at the very end of this process, we can actually see elements of all three wars; how they want to take away the Land and murder our people - young and old, men and women and babies; and also to destroy our attachment to Torah and our covenant with HKB"H - to destroy HIM! ... so they think.

The War on the Land of Israel, the People of Israel and the Torah of Israel is, at its core, The War Against the G-d of Israel!! That means for us, it is The War Against Amalek!!!  

...And he said, For there is a hand on the throne of the Eternal, that there shall be a war for the Lord against Amalek from generation to generation.  (Shemot 17:16)

Commentary (Rashi): For there is a hand on the throne of the Eternal: Heb. כִּי-יָד עַל כֵּס יָ-הּ.

The hand of the Holy One, blessed be He, was raised to swear by His throne, to have a war and [bear] hatred against Amalek for eternity. Now what is the meaning of כֵּס [as opposed to כִּסֵא and also [why is] the Divine Name divided in half? [I.e., why is the Name יָ-הּ used instead of י-ה-ו-ה ?] [The answer is that] the Holy One, blessed be He, swore that His Name will not be complete and His throne will not be complete until the name of Amalek is completely obliterated. And when his name is obliterated, the Divine Name will be complete, and the throne will be complete, as it is said: “The enemy has been destroyed; swords exist forever (לָנֶצַח)” (Ps. 9:7); this [who they are referring to] is Amalek, about whom it is written: “and kept their fury forever (נֶצַח)” (Amos 1:11). "And You have uprooted the cities-their remembrance is lost" (Ps. 9:7) [i.e., Amalek’s obliteration]. What does it say afterwards? “And the Lord (וַיהוה) shall sit forever” (Ps. 9:8); thus [after Amalek is obliterated] the Name is complete. "He has established His throne (כִּסְאוֹ) for judgment" (Ps. 9:8). WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?

Keep in mind that the Moon represents Israel and the Sun represents the Nations.

One week (Oct.14) after the Simchat Torah Massacre (Oct. 7), the Moon just almost eclipses the sun, but not completely.  This is called an annular eclipse when a ring of fire surrounds the darkened Moon.

Then, just two weeks after that (Oct 28), there will be a partial eclipse of the Moon.

People in Europe, Africa, most of Asia and western Australia. will see a shallow partial lunar eclipse overnight on October 28-29, 2023.

The whole half of Earth facing the full moon – that is, the whole half of Earth that’s in nighttime – will see the lunar eclipse. North America will not see it. At this eclipse, only a small fraction of the moon will enter Earth’s dark umbral shadow. For the most part, the October 28-29, 2023, lunar eclipse will appear as a penumbral eclipse of the moon. In other words, as the eclipse progresses, you should notice a dark shading on the moon (Earth’s penumbral shadow), followed by the barest of dark bites (Earth’s dark umbral shadow) taken from one edge of the moon.

[It will be at maximum at approx. 11:15 pm in Jerusalem.]

Remember this?  Two solar eclipses 7 years apart to make a giant "X" over the United States?  The 2024 eclipse is only months away on April 8 - Yom Kippur Katan of Rosh Chodesh Nissan.

But look what happens when you combine the path of totality for the October 14, 2023 annular eclipse and the path of the upcoming April 8, 2024 total eclipse.

I don't want anyone to miss out on the main post for today which appears just below, ("The Tree of Life"), but I just received a link to the following video which absolutely has to gain wide exposure, so I am placing it here.  I've also included it at the bottom of today's post as an "update" and also as a "comment" since it has come late in the day when many people have already visited and others do not necessarily look at the comments.  Please share this widely.  For normal people, especially Torah-loving Jews, it needs no commentary from me.

"My people were silenced for lack of knowledge;...seeing that you have forgotten the Torah of your God,...."    (Hoshea 4:6)

People know repentance is required of us, but too many don't understand for what.  Here are the usual causes given:  (1) sinat chinam; (2) speaking lashon hara; (3) women not covering their hair; (4) women not dressing modestly; (5) men not guarding their eyes; (6) men not guarding their brit; (7) disunity.

Important things to be sure, but it's too simplistic. And while it deals with personal sins, it doesn't address the sins of the nation.  Because the world is built on a justice system of midah k'neged midah, if we want to know what sin is the cause of certain suffering, we have to connect it back to its source.

What happened in the South of Israel along the Gaza border?  Men, women, children, from infants to elderly, were slaughtered and their property destroyed and burned.  

The enemy came from an area of Eretz Yisrael which the Israeli government gave to them as a gift.  Not only that, but even as this enemy has harassed the Jews in Israel with round after round of rocket fire causing terror, damage and injury for years, the Israeli government has continued to supply Gaza with all its needs.

Abbas says the Palestinians are the ancient Canaanites:

Abbas Rips Into Trump: Palestinians Are Original Canaanites, Were in Jerusalem Before the Jews (Jan 20128); Abbas says Palestinians ‘are the descendants of Canaanites’ (Feb 2018) - PA President Mahmoud Abbas tells the UN Security Council “we are the descendants of the Canaanites that lived in the land 5,000 years ago and continued to live there to this day.”  He has made this claim on other occasions as well, most recently in May 2023.  

What was Israel commanded by God to do with the Canaanites when we entered and conquered Eretz Yisrael?

Speak to the children of Israel and say to them: When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan, you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, destroy all their temples, destroy their molten idols, and demolish their high places. You shall clear out the Land and settle in it, for I have given you the Land to occupy it.

You shall give the Land as an inheritance to your families by lot; to the large, you shall give a larger inheritance and to the small you shall give a smaller inheritance; wherever the lot falls shall be his; according to the tribes of your fathers, you shall inherit.

But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the Land from before you, then those whom you leave over will be as spikes in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and they will harass you in the land in which you settle. And it will be that what I had intended to do to them, I will do to you.  (Bamidbar 33:51 - 56)

Ok, what were we told to do to them?  Jericho, the first city conquered in Eretz Yisrael...

...they conquered the city.   They destroyed everything that was in the city - man and woman, youth and elder, ox and sheep and ass - by the edge of the sword.  ...They burned down the city in fire, and everything that was in it; only the silver and the gold, and the vessels of copper and iron were given to the treasury of the House of Hashem.   (Yehoshua 6:20-24)

Regarding Amalek...

Now, go, and you shall smite Amalek, and you shall utterly destroy all that is his, and you shall not have pity on him: and you shall slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.' "  (Shmuel Aleph 15:3)

Surely, what HKB"H had intended us to do to them was done to us (although they always go too far). 

But, wait a minute!  Those Jews slaughtered on Simchat Torah can't be held accountable for the situation we are in today with regard to the Palestinian Arabs.  They were in no position to carry out these Biblical laws.

I will digress a bit.  You know how the world keeps telling us we deserve what happens to us?  In a way it's true.  We don't "deserve" it, but we do it to ourselves, we bring it upon ourselves.  If we don't follow the Creator's instructions, bad things happen as a result that could have been avoided had we but listened and obeyed.  

For sure, the residents of the "Gaza envelope" could not stop the expulsion of their fellows from Gush Katif, though I wonder how many actively fought it.  However, the thing is, they had the power and the ability to not make friends with the Gazans, to not look after their welfare, to not invite them into their communities and not give them jobs or trust them.  The following is very sadly typical of what we are hearing about the communities which were destroyed and some of the people who were taken captive.  Their relations with our enemies were like a badge of honor for them.  There are multiple examples.  This is just one.

 CO-EXISTENCE WITH PALESTINIAN NEIGHBORS

The Torah tells us that if we don't wipe out our enemies, "it will be that what I had intended to do to them, I will do to you."  Another way to put it is Hashem told us to do it to them because He knew that if we didn't, this is what they would do it to us and they would not be as humane about it.

We can't be more moral than God!  What we really need to repent for is not obeying the Torah.  With this in mind, now pay special attention to what the Fifth Blessing of the Amidah Prayer - Repentance says:  

"Bring us back, our Father, to Your Torah, and bring us near, our King, to Your service, and influence us to return in perfect repentance before You.  Blessed are You, Hashem, Who desires repentance. "

If it's not something we can practically do under our current circumstances, then we at least have to be ready and willing to comply with it should the opportunity ever arise, which it actually will when Mashiach comes.  If you aren't ready for this aspect of it then you aren't ready for Mashiach.

What was going on with this "peace" crowd down South was really treachery against Hashem.  Not only were they desecrating the Shabbat and the holiday, but they were actively aiding and abetting the enemies of God on a daily basis.  The tragedy is that there were probably those who disagreed with it, but were made vulnerable because they lived among them.

Sometimes, I think we are very hypocritical with our prayers.  Either we don't know what we are saying to Hashem or we don't really mean what we are saying to Hashem, because if you think I am being too harsh, let me remind you of what we pray three times a day in the Nineteenth Blessing of the Amidah Prayer - Against Heretics:

And for the malshinim let there be no hope; and may all wickedness perish in an instant; and may all Your enemies be cut down speedily.  May You speedily uproot, smash, cast down, and humble the wanton sinners - speedily in our days.  Blessed are You, Hashem, Who breaks enemies and humbles wanton sinners.

This was not written against Eisav or Yishmael, but against Jews.  The wanton, willful sinners are bringing their own destruction down upon their own heads and dragging the rest of us down with them, too.  No one who is actively rebelling against Hashem and His Torah is innocent.  

"The Torah is a tree of life for those who grasp it."  

But, we must conform to it.  It does not conform to us.  

I literally shudder to think what might be coming to the Shomron because of the same sin, aiding and abetting our enemies - only with spiritual murderers (Christians) instead of the physical murderers (Muslims), God forbid!!!!  

We have been warning them for over twenty years about the influence of that idolatry inside the yishuvim.  Again, we are not in a position to remove it completely from our Land right now, but the time will come.  Meanwhile, the Christian avodah zarah performed in our midst removes all of our Divine protection!!!!!  

Now is the time for complete teshuvah!!!!!!!!!  Run the Christians out before it is too late!!!!!!!!!!!

The Exile Is Ending - Redemption is Dawning

Speak to the heart of Jerusalem and call to her, ...for her iniquity has been appeased, for she has taken from the hand of the Lord double for all her sins. (Yeshayahu 40:2)

So said your Master, the Lord, and your God Who shall judge His people, "Behold, I took from you the cup of weakness; the dregs of the cup of My wrath - you shall no longer continue to drink it.   And I will place it into the hand of those who cause you to wander, who said to your soul, 'Bend down and let us cross,' and you made your body like the earth and like the street for those who cross." (Yeshayahu 51:22-23)

I feel like most people are afraid to think the redemption has finally arrived and so they continue to judge our situation, and how to react to it, by the old rules imposed by the exile. 

Hearken to Me, you who know righteousness, a people that has My Torah in their heart, fear not reproach of man, and from their revilings be not dismayed. (Yeshayahu 51:7)

[My commentary on "...reproach of man, and ...their revilings....":  This means people like António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations.]

The Simchat Torah War has introduced a new reality where the nations are standing in judgment, not Israel.  It requires a different approach with HKB"H.

The Lord said to Moses, Why do you cry out to Me? (Shemot 14:15)

Commentary: Why do you cry out to Me: [This verse] teaches us that Moses was standing and praying. The Holy One, blessed be He, said to him, “This is no time to pray at length, when Israel is in distress.” Another explanation [of God’s question (Why do you cry out to me?) implies]: “The matter depends on Me and not on you,” as it is said further [in Scripture]: “Concerning My children and the work of My hands do you command Me?” (Isa. 45:11). — [from Mechilta, Exod. Rabbah 21:8]

We are being told by some today that what is happening is like an evil decree that has descended upon us from Shamayim, and most are attributing it to the "divisions" among the people of Israel of late, but the righteous, those who fear only HKB"H, have nothing to fear from the events happening around us.

These "divisions" were brought about by HKB"H's birur process which is meant to separate good from evil so evil can be destroyed forever.  There are evildoers among the nations as well as evildoers among Israel.

The evildoers among Israel (many or most of whom are Erev Rav) cause the separation when they wander outside the sheepfold.  It is up to them to return.  When they do, the faithful sheep who remain inside the Torah fence welcome them back.  But there can never be unity with those who break down the fence and trample it under foot and destroy the protection the fence affords to the flock.  The faithful sheep can't be expected to abandon the sheepfold and join the wayward sheep for the sake of "unity".  As long as they continue to trample the fence, the errant sheep are a real danger to the viability of the entire flock and the Shepherd will have to take measures to correct the situation.

The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron saying, "Dissociate yourselves from this congregation, and I will consume them in an instant.  They fell on their faces and said, "O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, if one man sins, shall You be angry with the whole congregation?"

People who want to blame "the religious" for the anger of the anti-religious and leave the responsibility to them to be the appeasers are just wrong.  The media is now praising the handful of chareidim for coming to join the army and speculating how the number is sure to increase, as if the "unity" that will "save" us is up to the religious.  All will be well once we have all joined together to abandon the Torah.  Even though we just read about the unity of the Generation of the Tower of Bavel and how HKB"H destroyed that unity which was meant to unseat Him from His throne.

Then the God-fearing men spoke to one another, and the Lord hearkened and heard it.  And a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who feared the Lord and for those who valued His name highly.  And they shall be Mine, says the Lord of Hosts, for that day when I make a treasure. And I will have compassion on them as a man has compassion on his son who serves him.

And you shall return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who has not served Him.

For lo, the sun comes, glowing like a furnace, and all the audacious sinners and all the perpetrators of wickedness will be stubble. And the sun that comes shall burn them up so that it will leave them neither root nor branch, says the Lord of Hosts.  And the sun of mercy shall rise with healing in its wings for you who fear My Name.

If you believe in reward, then you must also believe in punishment.

“I believe with complete faith that the Creator, Blessed is His Name, rewards those who observe His Commandments, and punishes those who violate His Commandments.”

As so often repeated throughout the history of the world, mankind mistakes HKB"H's long-suffering mercy for abandonment and a license to run amok over His laws.  We can't say any longer that Judgment Day is coming.  Judgment Day arrived on Shemini Atzert/Simchat Torah of 5784.  

The message for the nations is that "the party is over!"  (Many nations were represented at the party in the South of Israel: "[The Supernova Festival] is an international gathering of people from different styles and cultures, all together to celebrate Peace, Love, Union, and Respect.)  

The message for the Jews is "My children, do not fear, because everything I did, I did for you. Why are you afraid? Don’t be afraid. The time has come for your redemption.”

And now fear the Lord, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth; and remove the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the river and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.  

And if it displeases you to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell, but as for me and my household, we shall serve the Lord."  (Yehoshua 24:14-15)

We still don't know for sure what the United States is doing here.  No way it's good for the Jews - either here or there.  

We know that they've trotted over every high administration official to meet with the Prime Minister, up to and including the president himself!  We know they've got an armada stationed off our coast.  We know they've got a few thousand soldiers on the ground here.  We know they are calling up more in the States and advising them that they are being shipped out to the Middle East, and US bases in Syria and Iraq and Jordan are to get reinforcements. 

The US has already made the case to their people that they are here to protect Israel.  That is a lie, but the American people are likely to believe it anyway.  When it all goes into the toilet, as it most certainly will, Israel will get the blame and the antisemitism against American Jews will know no bounds.

The Comeback: The Road From There to Here

Back on September 11, 2022, which was the 15th day of Elul, I wrote a blog post entitled The Final Tikkun: Revisiting the Golden Calf.  At the end of it, I added the following note (in part): 

This is likely the final blog post here at Tomer Devorah.  I'll qualify it with a b'li neder.  This is my intention, but if HKB"H has other plans,  I remain open to that.  The blog will, of course, remain here as an archive and there are fifteen years of almost daily posts to refer to on various subjects of Jewish interest.  I feel I have said everything there is to be said....

Before anybody gets upset, I'm not saying good-bye again (yet), but I want to make a point and in order to do so, I needed to remind you of this.  Okay.  So...

When I came back, it was July 10, 2023, which was the 21st day of Tammuz, and the first thing I wrote was, I guess picking up where I left off (fighting Eisav), A Critical Message for Am Yisrael: How Are We to Fight an Enemy Who "Loves" Us?

Three days later, I wrote the following in a blog post called Catching Up: Signs of the Times:

For whatever it is worth to you, dear readers, I will seize this opportunity to share with you my take on where we are holding in the process of our Redemption currently.  In short, I have never been more hopeful or more certain that we have passed through the pregnancy and through the labor and are now well into the birth as the head begins to crown.  

Our righteous Meshichim are here among us in Eretz Yisrael.  Several fit candidates can be observed.  The birrur process of separating out those who will merit, through their faith in and loyalty to HKB"H and His Torah, to live in the Messianic Era and those who will not is nearly complete.  

All of our enemies stand exposed and vulnerable to collapse and judgment.  The gods of "Egypt" are falling.  The power of the Erev Rav to rule over us is in steep decline.  Many, many good Jews have had their eyes opened to the perfidy of the State and it's illegal institutions and are ready to seek out a better way - Hashem's way.

I expected Tammuz/Av to be highly significant this year.  These two months are associated with Eisav and the height of Edom's power in the world.  It's no coincidence that the US unleashed the nuclear option on the world in the month of Av (Aug 6/9, 1945 : Av 27/30) or that a $100 million, 3-hour blockbuster movie named for The Jew held most responsible for it - "Oppenheimer" - would be opening to remind the world of this fact on this July 21st - the 3rd of Av.

The two nations who appear to pose the greatest threat of nuclear attack on the West are Iran and North Korea.  

It goes on about Iran and the famous quote from the Yalkut Shimoni which is ever more pertinent to our reality as the days roll on.  I wrote:  "America's power must be removed before Mashiach can be revealed.  It's the next step.  Watch for it."

On July 18, 2023, I wrote in response to a comment welcoming me back: 

"Nobody could be more surprised than I am to be back. I had no idea or plan for it, even when I wrote the first blog post on 10 July. It was supposed to be a one off. Yet, here we are. B"H!

Then, on August 3, 2023 (16 Av 5783), I posted For This We Wait all about the wars at the End of Days.   

From then until now, I had no plan for what to write.  Every time I wrote a blog post, I was inspired by something I saw or read or heard, and wrote with a very strong feeling of compulsion, like the information just had to get out.  The subject matter concentrated on getting us ready to received our Mashiach and preparing to weather the storms of war that were coming.  (It would be worthwhile to review the August 20, 2023/3 Elul 5783 post Three Steps to War?)

The War theme continued.  On 7 Tishrei 5784, I wrote, They Come For Us at This Time of Year, and I said, "The War of GoguMagog has already begun."

The day after Yom Kippur, I wrote in The Last Gasp:

I view this "accord" between Israel and Saudi Arabia as America's last gasp.  I think that when the truth comes out, we will find that it is the absolute most catastrophic thing they have done to us to date, which is saying a lot if you actually know the history of our "relationship."

I think we will soon see that this is the actual fulfillment of the famous Yalkut Shimoni, that the king of Arabia and the king of Edom [US] will collude together and [as a result] the King of Persia [Iran] will "destroy" the whole world.

And in the comments, I told someone:  "I have big hopes for this Hoshana Rabbah."  If you go back and look at the subsequent posts, I think you can get a sense of what I was feeling at that time...

Hoshana Rabbah, the Aravot, and the Erev Rav (13 Tishrei) - "This may seem premature as Hoshanah Rabbah is still a week away, but we need the mental preparation for what is coming.  I just read a comment that said, 'The country is falling apart....'  And my immediate thought was, 'The whole world is falling apart.'  In reality the World of Lies is being slowly and methodically disassembled to make way for the World of Truth."

What Kind of Sukkot Are We Going to Have? (14 Tishrei) - Even though it was primarily about the weather, it still carried a bit of the flavor of doom:  "'Behold God's awaited day is coming,... I shall gather all the nations to Jerusalem to wage war....  and the Mt. of Olives will split at its center....'  (Haftarah, First Day of Sukkot)  ...  Remember:  All is for our ultimate good.  We win in the end!!"

Moadim l'Simchah - Sukkot 5784 (17 Tishrei) - "It really feels like the world is standing at the foot of a giant dam behind which tremendous pressure is building up day by day and right now, that dam is full of cracks that grow larger by the hour.  At some point, it's going to break, we just don't know when.  Only don't be surprised when it happens.  It's inevitable."

THIS IS WAR@ SUKKOT!!! (October 4/ 19 Tishrei) -  "We have no rights in our own country, not even the right to self-defense - not from Yishmael (as is clear) and not from Eisav either (just as clear).  Who cares about the Jews??!!!  No one except our Father in Heaven, but He is all we need or want!!!  And their time is coming to an end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

Are We Ready Yet? (October 5/20 Tishrei) - "Tonight/tomorrow is Hoshanah Rabbah - the final sealing of the fate which was decreed for each of us on Rosh Hashanah.  Are we ready for Mashiach yet?  That is the big question.  He is going to do some very unpopular things that are going to upset the nations and the turncoat Jews.  Are you ready for that?"

In the Spirit of Shmini Atzeret/Simchat Torah - Whose Torah: God's or Ours?  

This was written on October 6, 2023 (21 Tishrei/Hoshana Rabbah).  It concentrated on HKB"H's aversion to idolatry and His anger at our violation of the covenant, ending with the quote...

 "The Evil will befall you at the End of Days"

And we all know what came the next day. - October 7th (22 Tishrei).  Nothing I could have ever imagined or anticipated, but I just had this feeling that something reality-shifting was hovering - the thing that would really launch us into the final stretch of the complete redemption.  Like strapping us into a ride that was going to be wild and dangerous and scary but would not stop until we had reached the end.  

Since October 7, 2023 - I have written for hours and hours, every day but Shabbat - 16 blog posts in 15 days, all about the aftermath of the Simchat Torah Massacre which I interpret to be the opening shot of the third and final War of GoguMagog.  I feel like I was brought back to the blog just for this and for the lead-up to this.  For the aftermath - beyond today - I don't know.

Today, I finally felt able to relax a bit - like the  job is about done.  We've already been warned by Homefront Command that we might be without electricity at some point.  There might come a time when I won't be able to publish any more blog posts for awhile, so I wanted to get everything down and out in the public sphere in time for that possibility.

I still say "This is IT!!" as explained over the past two weeks.  Just keep telling yourself "ayn od milevado."  HKB"H is the Master of the Universe and He is in complete control.

"The Road From There to Here" - where does it go now? War for the foreseeable future and everything that goes with it.  Grab hold of HKB"H and don't let go!!!

Section 6:  The Intensification of Evil Before the Redemption

...When evil gets stronger, this increased power is itself a sign that the evil is about to give way to the redemption waiting to emerge.

......the imminent redemption is very unique.  Man's evil inclination will leave him, and the world will return to the state it was in before Adam's sin.  This is why evil will become so much stronger in this era.

Our sages tell us (Midrash Daniel 12:11) that the verse "It will be a time of distress the likes of which there had never been from when they became a nation until that time, and at that time, Your people will escape" (Daniel 12:1) refers to the birth pangs of Mashiach.

...the Chofetz Chaim writes:

The days of exile are like a pregnancy, and the end is like the contractions of labor.  With contractions of labor it is known that if a woman is having a hard time giving birth, when the difficulties overwhelm her to the point where she can't bear it any longer, the midwife will comfort her by saying that the pains won't last much longer.  She'll say, "Don't be afraid.  This is a sign that the birth is near."  This is exactly how it is with this matter.  As long as our many troubles were not overwhelming, we could think that the pregnancy would continue for a long time.  But now that the troubles are so strong that they are unbearable, we can certainly look forward to the revelation of His salvation soon (Shem Olam, in the name of the Vilna Gaon).

We must understand, however, that there is another reason for the intensification of evil:  the separation between the forces of good and evil, as will be explained.

The Gemara says, "The son of David (Moshiach) will come only in a generation that is either entirely worthy or entirely unworthy" (Sanhedrin 98a).

...how can there be "a generation that is entirely unworthy"?

...The Vilna Gaon explains that the generation spoken of here will be like any other, with both righteous and evildoers.  The words of the Gemara will apply to each individual.  Every individual will follow a set course, either toward utopian perfection or toward absolute evil.  Little by little, the numbers of those who waver between the two directions will disappear, for each one of them will decide on one of the two.

...In short, at the time of "the footsteps of Moshiach," evil will increase in the world and be readily apparent.  This is good news for the approaching redemption, for many will learn to identify it for what it is.  Then they will abandon it and improve themselves in the direction of absolute good.  Others, who also search for perfection in their way, will become more evil and will distance themselves completely from Judaism.

[I firmly believe this is what we witnessed over the past nine months of the Kaplan protests and it culminated in the attacks on Judaism on Yom Kippur.  I believe that signaled the end of the birur.  It only waited until the sealing of the decree on Hoshana Rabbah to be carried out.]

...This is also linked to the coming of Moshiach, for when people's choices are not clear, good and evil remain a mixture in the world, and the time is not yet ripe for Moshiach's arrival.  But when good and evil are clearly distinct and separate from each other, redemption will arrive.

It may already be too late!!!

This is a follow-up to The Flood of Hamas.  It alludes to The Flood of Violence (חָמָס) that accompanies The Flood of Antisemitism at the End of Days.  See, Heaven's messages are everywhere!  HKB"H is screaming to His Children, "Choose life!!"  

How can the Jews of the Diaspora not see this!??  Don't be fooled by fear of what is happening in Eretz Yisrael.  It's not what it seems.  (See the next post which should be ready later today, iy"H.)  If you are already here, this is NOT the time to leave!!!
