"$320 million Gaza pier, a floating dock built by the US Army, has now broken loose and has reportedly began sinking." (Source)

"Four U.S. Army vessels supporting the humanitarian floating pier mission in Gaza became unmoored by rough seas," military officials said. Two vessels are now anchored on a Gaza beach near the pier, U.S. Central Command said in a statement on Saturday. The other two are beached further north, on the coast of Israel near Ashkelon."  (Source)

This is the latest episode of a story that began two days ago...

An American vessel used to unload humanitarian aid from ships into the Gaza Strip via a floating pier disconnected from a small boat tugging it this morning due to stormy seas, leading it to get stuck on the coast of Ashdod, eyewitnesses say.

Another ship was then sent to try and extract the stuck vessel, but also got beached.

US Navy Vessels Run Aground in Ashdod Trying to Retrieve Breakaway Gaza Pier

Two US Navy vessels ran aground in Ashdod this weekend while trying to retrieve a part of the JLOTS temporary pier that broke off due to the high winds and choppy waters of the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Gaza. A total of four ships were damaged.

...Initially no injuries were reported, but it turns out three sailors were injured, one of them seriously. He is being treated in an Israeli hospital.

Meanwhile back home (for them), the weather just won't let up... 

Severe storms slam the South causing at least 21 deaths

Powerful storms were moving into the eastern half of the US on Monday, after killing at least 21 people, injuring hundreds, obliterating homes, and leaving a path of destruction that spread across Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas over the Memorial weekend.

As the weather system moved into Georgia, the Storm Prediction Center issued a severe thunderstorm watch for more than 7 million people in the state and South Carolina. Heavy rain is expected to drench parts of the East Coast, where damage from strong winds is also possible. Intense heat will also hit parts of the south.

All told, over 120 million are under extreme weather alerts, concentrated over the East Coast, where officials are urging people to take precautions.

Weather deaths over the weekend were reported in four states, including eight in Arkansas, seven in Texas, two in Oklahoma and two in Kentucky.

On Monday, more than 187,000 customers were without power in Kentucky, according to the tracking website poweroutage.us. Some 84,000 customers were without power in Alabama; 74,000, West Virginia; 70,000, Missouri; and 63,000, Arkansas.

The Indianapolis 500 started four hours late after a strong storm pushed into the area, forcing Indianapolis Motor Speedway officials to evacuate about 125,000 race fans. In Oklahoma, inaccessible roads and downed power lines also led officials in the town of Claremore, near Tulsa, to announce that the city was “shut down”.

It's been quiet since Sunday's helicopter crash which took the lives of Iran's president, foreign minister and six other persons.  They've been involved with five days of national mourning while the funerals take place, the final one to be tomorrow.  No doubt, the government will be hard pressed after that time to explain what actually happened.

"Today is Pesach Sheini, the time when those people who were impure or on a distant journey were given a second chance to bring the Pesach sacrifice. Those who were outside the camp and unable to join with the rest of the Jewish people were now brought in.

...It is written in the Zohar: The Jewish people receive illumination from above on the first night of Pesach. This illumination lasts for thirty days. After the thirty days there is an announcement in Heaven. "Whoever has not received the illumination of Pesach can do so now, on the fourteenth of Iyar, for seven days and the Heavens will open up for you. After that they will close again...."

We have now passed the middle point of the Omer count and we are about to reach the full power of the moon here in the middle of the month of Iyyar.- the full radiance of Ziv.

It is related in the Prophets (Kings I, 6:1) that King Solomon began the building of the First Temple. “In the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month, he began to build the House of G-d.” The Radak explains: “The month Ziv is the month of Iyar… and it is called Ziv, as our sages explain, because of the splendor of the trees, namely the brilliance of the flowers and buds.” Ziv means “splendor” or “brilliance.” In this month of “brilliance” King Solomon “began to build the House of G-d.”

The two names of the month, Ziv and Iyar (from ohr, the primary word in Hebrew for “light”), are indeed two synonyms for “light.” They both relate to the special light that shines in this second month of the Jewish calendar. In particular, Iyar refers to the light source (or to the light within and proximate to its source), whereas Ziv refers to the expansion of radiant-energy as it shines far from its source. With regard to G-d’s Divine light, the Ziv is that radiance which descends from its source to shine on the Jewish soul as enclothed in a physical body on earth, and to awaken in it the desire to build a House for G-d (within the context of physical reality, far removed, as it were, from the source of Divine light).

...During Iyar, the “lower reality” is slowly refined to become a proper vessel able to receive the revelation of the essence of the “higher reality.” This is accomplished by fulfilling the commandment of sefirat ha-omer (“the counting of the omer; the word for “counting,” sefirah is from the same root as “sapphire,” the brilliant stone known as even sapir, denoting the light scintillating from within lowly materiality). The days of the weeks during which we count the Sefirot of Netzach (Days 22 - 28 of the Omer) and Hod (Days 29 - 35 of the Omer) are very auspicious.  Day 33 of the Omer is, of course, L"g baOmer, the day the Zohar, which also alludes to brightness, was revealed.

...We will now describe the third group of sefirot which we will call the "tactical" sefirot; they are netzach ("victory") and hod, ("awe").

When we call these sefirot "tactical," we mean that their purpose is not inherent in themselves, but rather as a means for something else.

For example, if I wish for my son, whom I love with all my heart, to make something of himself, I may have to be strict and stern with him in order to teach him discipline or insure that he applies himself to his studies, etc. The "strictness and sternness" is tactical -- that is, it is the means by which I endow the child with the benefits that I want him to have. But my intrinsic intent is that of kindness -- of giving him an education and teaching him values.

In another instance, I may use the tactic of kindness, though my intent may be antagonistic. I could lure an enemy into a trap by inviting him with a smile and a pleasant demeanor. The exterior façade of the act is pleasantness, its interior is punitive.

Understanding these two attributes of netzach and hod gives us a new perspective into understanding what is happening in the world. No longer do we merely look at an act at face value, and attempt to understand it as such, but we must look at it also in terms of "a means to an end."

...For instance, the suffering of the righteous may be a test in order to heighten their reward, or a way to cleanse them in this world of their few sins so that they are pure and perfect in the World to Come. The wicked may be prospering in order that their feeling of complacency forestalls their repentance or in order that they should receive their entire reward on earth so their later destruction can be total.

There are other possibilities too; the main point is that there is more to God's actions than what appears to be happening at surface level. (Source)

Quoting SEFIROS: Spiritual Refinement Through Counting the Omer by Rabbi Yaacov Haber:

For the Sefirah of Netzach...

...While the first three sefiros are primarily about internal relations, both netzach and hod are midos that connect with the outside world.

Netzach gives the long term view.  It sees events as part of a much bigger story. 

...Netzach and hod are very closely connected.  The two keruvim, the golden cherubs on top of the Ark of the Covenant, which provided the interface between God and humanity, represented netzach and hod.  Similarly, the two pillars at the entrance to the First Beis HaMikdash were called Yachin and Boaz, and also represented netzach and hod.

...Netzach is closely associated with the Written Torah, while hod is connected to the Oral Law.

...Netzach is personified by Moshe Rabbeinu.

For the Sefirah of Hod...

...Choice is associated with hod because any choice can only be for the moment.  Just like hod, free choice focuses on the present, while ultimately affecting the future.

Aharon HaCohen personifies hod.

 Hod in netzach is on Day 26 of the Omer - 26 being significant for the gematria of yud-kay-vav-kay.  

This year, the 26th day of the Omer marked a great tragedy for the
 Islamic Republic of Iran - a major enemy of the Jewish people.  

May it herald the quick conclusion of the geulah shleimah as the parashah of this week - Behar - alludes many times to redemption.  Vayikra 25...

29  And when a man sells a residential house in a walled city, its redemption may take place until the completion of the year of its sale. Its [period of] redemption shall be a full year.

30  But if it is not redeemed by the end of a complete year, then that house which is in the city that has a wall, shall remain permanently [the property] of the one who purchased it throughout his generations. It will not leave [his possession] in the Jubilee.

31  But houses in open cities, which do not have a wall surrounding them, are to be considered as the field of the land. It may have redemption and shall leave [the purchaser's possession] in the Jubilee.

32  And, [regarding] the cities of the Levites, the houses of their inherited cities shall forever have a [right of] redemption for the Levites.

33  And if one purchases from the Levites, whether a house or an inherited city, will leave [the possession of the purchaser] in the Jubilee, because the houses of the cities of the Levites, are their inherited property amidst the children of Israel.

34  And a field in the open areas of their cities cannot be sold, because it is their eternal inheritance.

35  If your brother becomes destitute and his hand falters beside you, you shall support him [whether] a convert or a resident, so that he can live with you.

36  You shall not take from him interest or increase, and you shall fear your God, and let your brother live with you.

37 You shall not give him your money with interest, nor shall you give your food with increase.

38  I am the Lord, your God, Who took you out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, to be a God to you.

It's all about redemption and return of the land.  In fact, the entire parashah is about redemption and restoration. 

47  If a resident non-Jew gains wealth with you, and your brother becomes destitute with him and is sold to a resident non-Jew among you or to an idol of the family of a non-Jew.

48  After he is sold, he shall have redemption; one of his brothers shall redeem him.

49  Or his uncle or his cousin shall redeem him, or the closest [other] relative from his family shall redeem him; or, if he becomes able to afford it, he can be redeemed [on his own].

50  He shall calculate with his purchaser [the number of years] from the year of his being sold to him until the Jubilee year; then, the purchase price shall be [divided] by the number of years; as the days of a hired worker, he shall be with him.

51  If there are still many years, according to them, he shall return his redemption [money] out of the money for which he was purchased.

52  But if only a few years remain until the Jubilee year, he shall make the [same] calculation; according to his years [that remain until Jubilee], he shall return the redemption [money]._

53 He shall be with him as an employee hired year by year; he shall not enslave him with rigor in your sight.

54 And if he is not redeemed through [any of] these [ways], he shall go out in the Jubilee year he and his children with him.

55  For the children of Israel are servants to Me; they are My servants, whom I took out of the land of Egypt. I am the Lord, your God.

The commentary on this parashah says...

The commandment of the Sabbatical Year has a special relationship to Mount Sinai [Behar].  At Mount Sinai, God's majesty and power were so manifest that it was clear that the determining factors in human material success are God's will and man's worthiness.  The land's rest in the seventh year, too, teaches that the primary force in the universe is God, not the law of nature.  ...The Torah emphasizes, therefore, that it is God Who gives the land.

And as if that were not enough!  The haftarah comes from Yirmiyahu 32:6-27 and begins as follows...

6  And Jeremiah said: The word of the Lord came to me, saying:

7  Behold, Hanamel, the son of Shallum your uncle, is coming to you, saying: Buy for yourself my field that is in Anathoth, for the right of redemption is yours to buy it.

8  Then Hanamel, my uncle's son, came to me in the prison yard, according to the word of the Lord, and said to me; Please buy my field that is in Anathoth, that is in the country of Benjamin, for the right of inheritance is yours, and you have the right of redemption; buy it for yourself." And I knew that this was the word of the Lord.

...14  So said the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel; Take these scrolls, this deed of purchase and the signed one and this open scroll, and put them into an earthen vessel so that they remain many years.

15  For so says the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be purchased again in this land.

...37  Behold I will gather them from all the lands where I have driven them with My anger and with My wrath and with great fury, and I will restore them to this place and I will cause them to dwell safely.

38  And they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

...44  Men shall buy fields for money and inscribe deeds and sign [them] and appoint witnesses in the land of Benjamin and in the environs of Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah and in the cities of the mountain and in the cities of the lowland and in the cities of the southland, for I will restore their captivity, says the Lord.

So may we see the complete fulfillment of this prophecy, victory over all our enemies, and the complete redemption and restoration of all our land and people.  Ken yehi ratzon!!

TIME'S UP

"Forty days more and Nineveh shall be overturned."

Forty days of grace were extended to the United States (Edom) in order to repent the evil of usurping HKB"H's role in deciding the fate of nations - particularly Israel's!  And when that period of grace expired yesterday, this is what they did...

The US/Saudi/Erev Rav triumvirate is, no doubt in my mind, responsible.  Iran's Supreme Leader is 85 years old and not in good health.  Raisi was being groomed as his replacement and was considered every bit as "hard-line" as the current one.   The US favorite, son of the former Shah of Iran, recently put his home up for sale.  He has also been often in the news of late...

The Islamic State now has on its hands a fight for its life.  Either they will succeed, or they will take the entire world down trying.  

The "bomb" that will overturn "Nineveh" has now been armed.  Can you hear it ticking???

There are three basic arenas of life - Olam - Shana - Nefesh; that is literally world (place), time, and person! The permissibility or the forbidden-ness of an act depends upon the coordination of these three factors; where, when, and who! Plug in the deed and the variables. Eating one hour before Yom Kippur begins may actually be a noble thing. An hour later it is despicable! Why? The Torah designated this time for this set of behaviors and inappropriate for others. That’s the reality of these boundaries like any others boundaries. That’s what holiness means. It’s the art and science of living respectfully within the G-d given boundaries of life.

Think about it! When people employ all their intelligence only to blur the lines of distinctions rather than to clarify them they are working against the Kodesh - the Holy - and they are trying to make everything Chol - secular. Chol literally means sand! Sand is an undefined conglomerate of particles. It has no particular shape or direction. Do you see the scratched out word?  

Before approving Israel's request for recognition by the United States, Truman scratched out the word "Jewish" in the phrase "the new Jewish state" and penciled in "State of Israel."

No way were the Americans ever going to accept a "Jewish" state here in Eretz Yisrael.  And that's why it's clear as day that there is no "atzmaut" here.  

After 76 years, it's come down to this - it's them or us.

In explaining why Niger is kicking out U.S. troops, Niger's prime minister tells @Rachel_Chason that U.S. officials tried to dictate which countries Niger could partner with in a manner he viewed as disrespectful:

He said the Nigerien leaders took particular umbrage at remarks by Molly Phee, the State Department’s top official for African affairs, who he said had urged the government during a March visit to Niamey to refrain from engaging with Iran and Russia in ways objectionable to Washington if Niger wanted to continue its security relationship with the United States. He also said Phee had further threatened sanctions if Niger pursued a deal to sell uranium to Iran.

“When she finished, I said, ‘Madame, I am going to summarize in two points what you have said,’” recounted Zeine, who has led negotiations with the United States. “First, you have come here to threaten us in our country. That is unacceptable. And you have come here to tell us with whom we can have relationships, which is also unacceptable. And you have done it all with a condescending tone and a lack of respect.”

In response to Zeine’s comments, a U.S. official said: “The message ... was a coordinated U.S. government position, delivered in a professional manner, in response to valid concerns about developments in Niger. The CNSP was presented with a choice, not an ultimatum, about whether they wished to continue their partnership with us, respectful of our democratic values and national security interests.

PM Netanyahu could take lessons from these guys.

Dear Diaspora Jews,

Be thankful.  Because of what transpired on the 5th of Iyyar in 1948, you have a choice that your ancestors prior to that date could only dream about.  The doors to Eretz Yisrael are standing wide open for you.

There are two groups of Jews:  those who argue and say, "we don't have to make aliyah," and those who respond with gratitude, saying, "we get to make aliyah."  Which group describes you?  If you fit the first group, read the Prophet Yechezkel, chapter 20, and think it over.  If you fit the second group, what's keeping you?

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Eretz Yisrael,

You've already made the physical ascent, now it's time to move on up another rung on the ladder of spiritual ascent.  The Prophet Hoshea said:

"For the children of Israel shall remain for many days, having neither king, nor prince, nor sacrifice, nor pillar, nor ephod nor teraphim.  Afterwards shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God and David their king, and they shall come trembling to the Lord and to His goodness at the end of days." (3:4-5)

If not the words of Yehoshua ben Nun, then for certain in the same spirit.  These are the words of Brigadier General Ofer Winter, for which he was heavily criticized and finally "released" from the IDF.  It is a known fact that no God-fearing Jew may rise to the highest ranks of the IDF.

...Winter came under criticism during Protective Edge, when he served as commander of the Givati Brigade, for a letter to his subordinate officers in which he described the operation as a religious war against a “blasphemous” foe.

In media interviews, the officer also described his troops as being protected in battle by “clouds of glory,” raising concerns among religious freedom activists that Winter was theocratizing the military.

Controversial IDF officer to be released

A controversial senior officer in the IDF, who has been without a role for nearly two years, is finally being let go from service after being passed over for promotion yet again. IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen Herzi Halevi told Brig. Gen. Ofer Winter that he would be released from the army after not being promoted in the latest round of appointments, the Ynet news site reports.

The move has sparked backlash among some lawmakers, mostly from the right, and activists who had hoped that Winter would finally be given a promotion.

...Alongside Winter, another two brigadier generals were told by Halevi that no role was found for them and they were to end their service, Ynet reports.

I've no doubt whatsoever that appropriate places can be found for them in Mashiach's army.

The blogger and researcher Geulah Girl pointed out to me that just as the Nazi Nuremberg Laws addressed commandments that Israel were deficient in performing, the various legal moves being made against us by the international organizations today are, too.  We are being excoriated for doing things which we actually are not doing but which we should be doing.  

"Israel in Isolation" is actually very good news for us.  Especially, when we just read Parashat Kedoshim where we are commanded to be separate from the nations.  We are not doing it willingly, but HKB"H is forcing it upon us anyway.

The Forty-Day Countdown

From April 8, 2024 (Rosh Chodesh Nissan) when the solar eclipse took place, the United States received a Forty-Day Warning.  Their own self-proclaimed "prophets" confirm it. 

"Forty days more and Nineveh shall be overturned."  

May 18th is actually the fortieth day if the count begins on April 9th.  And that's the date that most people are looking towards and maybe it will be that day, but the prophecy indicates that 40 days will be completed before the decree is carried out.  That puts it over to May 19th, their Feast of Pentecost.  Any way you slice it, we're talking about five or six days until the US is finally taken down as a super-power with the ability to dictate our surrender to Hamas.  

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the US is going to fall, as surely as Egypt fell.  The timing is no coincidence either.  On April 25th during the week of Passover, a series of weather disasters began which is ongoing through today.  The following video proves that those people do not know how to interpret the events in front of them.

This presents another big problem for Jewish Americans.  The Christians view these events as signs from God, but they interpret their meanings through the prism of the New Testament.  They believe their country is in danger of Divine retribution and the only way to avoid it is through repentance, but...  Their idea of repentance is that everybody must accept Yeshu as their god and savior.  

Not only that, but this eclipse and the seven Ninevehs are a set-up for a teaching already being given all over the Christian world, that the Jews in chu"l are like Jonah who was the cause of the storm and the sinking boat and the only way to save them all was to throw him overboard.

This comes from the Altar of Prayer website under the heading "Aliyah".  Do you get that he is actually saying that the Jews in America are bringing (or going to bring) troubles upon the United States due to their refusal to obey God's command to leave the exile, just like Jonah did by running in the opposite direction of Nineveh?  He even draws a parallel between Jonah heading west and today's largest dispersed group of Jews residing in the west!  This can only go one place - to save the nations, the Jews will have to, metaphorically (we hope), be cast overboard - like Jonah!!

By Massive Rocket Barrage At Kiryat Shmona

The Hezbollah terror group in Lebanon on Friday launched a massive barrage of 35 rockets at Kiryat Shmona, kindling a huge fire.

Ten firefighting teams were required to quell the flames. B’Chasdei Hashem, despite the extensive damage, miraculously no one was injured in the barrage.

The IDF carried out airstrikes at the sources of fire.

Hezbollah later claimed responsibility for the attack.

"disengage" from Israel on Independence Day

As tensions simmer in northern Israel amidst prolonged conflict and displacement, residents are preparing for significant protests next week.

Frustrated by what they perceive as government neglect, local authorities are planning a bold move: declaring independence from Israel on Independence Day.

The decision stems from mounting dissatisfaction with the government's handling of the situation. Moshe Davidovitch, head of the Mateh Asher Regional Council and chair of the Confrontation Line Forum, expressed the collective sentiment, stating, "The soul of the public in the north has been torn apart by the lack of action." He added, "From now on, we will stop listening to the government, we will run as an independent country and act independently without a state."

When asked about the residents' return date, Netanyahu's dismissive remark, "What's the worst that will happen if they return a few months after September 1?" sparked outrage among locals and leaders alike.

"We won't say exactly what we'll do because we decided to create a surprise," Davidovitch said. "We don't know if we'll succeed in making this dysfunctional government wake up, but we'll certainly create a meaningful wave of impact."

Those who would deny the Creator and set themselves in His place are bringing chaos from which to create a new world order. Their stated goal is "out of many - one," a global unity without God, r"l, their "one" to replace The One.

Excerpts from Havdalah (Separation) by Rabbi Meir Kahane

in Or Hara'ayon, chapter 25...

...G-d established two great and fundamental principles for Israel, namely, 1) separation and isolationism from the nations, and 2) clinging to G-d.  Israel must separate themselves from evil and from the nations to the precise degree that they are commanded to cling to G-d.

...G-d decreed upon holy Israel that they must be separated from impurity and from the impure nations.  The idolatry and foreign culture of the nations cannot coexist with G-d's Torah or with G-d Himself.  It, therefore, says, "You shall be holy to Me, for I, the Lord, am holy, and I have separated you out from among the nations to be Mine." (Lev. 20:26) Our sages comment, " 'I have separated you out from among the nations to be Mine': If you are separated from the nations, then you are Mine, otherwise, you belong to Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylonia and his associates." (Torat Kohanim, Kedoshim, 9)

Israel's being separated from the nations is so important because, if Israel, chosen to be G-d's holy, special people, are not set apart from them, but influenced by their culture, why then, were Israel created?  What special purpose is there for the existence of Israel and the world?  If they are like Nebuchadnezzar in behavior and thought, in their impurity, arrogance and profanations, why should G-d defend them and ensure their survival?....

G-d established that there must be no unity between Israel and the nations.  They must not mix or mingle together.  The walls separating them must never come down. Rather, there must be separation, borders, a division.  This separation, indeed, serves the purpose of unity, but genuine unity of a world under Divine sovereignty, for a united world of falsehood is not G-d's will....

The argument of the nations... is that we must achieve unity and break down the walls of separation.  Is this not fair and logical according to the false thinking of the worshippers of foreign culture?  Is not the unity of all nations and the disappearance of differences between Israel and the nations the goal of the Hellenists, who in any event have already put an end to every logical and intellectual difference between themselves and the nations?  Before us we have a recommendation for one world and one people, and why should Israel remain alone, a nation that dwells apart?

...The admiration of the whole world, a "light unto the nations"... here is their basic enticement, adopted also by the Hellenists and falsifiers of Israel.  They have distorted the concept of Israel being a "covenant of the people, a light unto the nations." (Isaiah 42:6)  In their hands, this has turned into a demand that we depart the Land of our isolation and cling to the nations in the exile, living there with them in order to serve as their beacon.

To achieve this, we are supposed to abandon unpleasant, "unacceptable" concepts and laws, lest these make the nations hate us, and all this in the name of unity.  That is, we are supposed to assimilate for the sake of unity....

Certainly, G-d's goal is world unity, but not based on falsehood and evil, and not through acceptance of the abominable concepts of coexistence and tolerance which pave the way for equating holiness and abomination, good and evil.  Unity is desirable but only after goodness reigns in the world and all accept G-d's sovereignty.  When G-d's truth and mastery reign on earth, there will be real unity.  It will come precisely through separation.

...The separation G-d decreed upon the universe as a supreme value serves to divide between good and evil.  Therefore, the Torah says, "G-d saw the light, that it was good, and he separated between the light and the darkness."  This implies that not only was the light good, but so was its separation from darkness, good from evil.
