The Squeeze Is On, Pressure Is Building
3 Shevat 5777
I read that Jews in Iran and the other six countries affected by Trump's immigration ban have been adversely affected as well as Muslim refugees. They've been waiting for approval to immigrate to the United States to join other family members there and now they are caught in the middle.
REPORT: SEVERAL JEWISH FAMILIES AFFECTED BY TRUMP’S REFUGEE BAN
I also read that Mexico's Jews are extremely upset by Netanyahu's tweet in support of Trump's stance on the wall he wants to build between the US and Mexico. Their situation was already tenuous. Now, they also are caught in the middle.
MEXICAN JEWS ALARMED BY NETANYAHU TWEET ON TRUMP’S WALL
HKB"H is using Trump and Netanyahu to bring an end to the exile. Soon Israel will be the only home left open to Jews. See it now or see it later. It's coming.

Assimilation From Within the Synagogue?
3 Shevat 5777
(h/t emes emunah)
Worried about young Jews assimilating out of Judaism? Think a stronger attachment via the synagogue will help keep them Jewish? Not if this is what they find there.
A non-Jewish "motivational speaker" is being hosted at The Boca Raton Synagogue in just a few weeks time. Now, before you assume this must be a Reform or Conservative synagogue, because this is the sort of thing we have come to expect from them, think again.
We Jews have no lack of successful, charismatic and inspiring motivational speakers whose knowledge and understanding are rooted deep in 4000 years of Torah wisdom. No non-Jew, no matter his resume, can even come close. Let's keep it in the family where it belongs and prove to the young Jews that there is more than enough reason to stay.

Boca Raton Synagogue is a vibrant, multi-generational, Modern Orthodox Synagogue serving the spiritual, educational and social needs of its diverse members. BRS provides multiple minyanim, comprehensive Torah learning opportunities, an extensive chesed infrastructure, and rich teen and youth programming. The largest orthodox Synagogue in the Southeast United States, BRS is also actively engaged in Outreach, Israel Advocacy, Multi-Level Adult Education, and more. More than just a Synagogue, BRS is a community seeking to inspire individuals and families of all ages, backgrounds, levels of education and observance. (Source)And this is not just any non-Jewish speaker. Matthew Kelly is a high-profile, very committed Catholic who no doubt credits his faith with giving him the answers to life's questions which he then seeks to answer for the rest of the world.
Matthew Kelly has dedicated his life to helping people and organizations become the-best-version-of-themselves! ...He is also the founder of The Dynamic Catholic Institute a Cincinnati based non-profit organization whose mission is to re-energize the Catholic Church in America by developing world-class resources that inspire people to rediscover the genius of Catholicism.(Source)What is the message being sent to young Jews with this choice of a speaker? "Judaism does not have the answers you seek, but this wonderful, successful, and wildly popular Catholic does." Will this motivate the young Jews to seek deeper insights from their own faith or to check out the speaker's purported source of wisdom - Catholicism. God forbid! I can't imagine that this is the kind of motivation the rabbi of BRS has in mind, but that is the message he will be sending should he, chas v'shalom, fail to reconsider and cancel this chillul Hashem.

This August, the United States Will Be Treated to a Historic Eclipse
On August 21, the U.S. will witness a total solar eclipse when the sun, moon and Earth will perfectly align into what scientists call a syzygy.
"...Our Rabbis taught, When the sun is in eclipse it is a bad omen for idolaters; when the moon is in eclipse, it is a bad omen for Israel, since Israel reckons by the moon and idolaters by the sun. If it is in eclipse in the east, it is a bad omen for those who dwell in the east; if in the west, it is a bad omen for those who dwell in the west; if in the midst of heaven it is bad omen for the whole world. If its face is red as blood, [it is a sign that] the sword is coming to the world; if it is like sack-cloth, the arrows of famine are coming to the world; if it resembles both, the sword and the arrows of famine are coming to the world. If the eclipse is at sunset calamity will tarry in its coming; if at dawn, it hastens on its way: but some say the order is to be reversed. And there is no nation which is smitten that its gods are not smitten together with it, as it is said, And against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments. But when Israel fulfill the will of the Omnipresent, they need have no fear of all these [omens] as it is said, Thus saith the HaShem,' Learn not the way of the nations, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven, for the nations are dismayed at them, the idolaters will be dismayed, but Israel will not be dismayed." "Making America Great Again"
25 Tevet 5777
This catch-phrase coined by the Trump Presidential Election Campaign is nothing less than a call for reinvigorating the flawed concepts of Pax Americana and American Exceptionalism. There were also some clear allusions to it in President Trump's Inauguration Speech:
(Excerpts)
President Trump wants to recreate the America of his youth - in the Golden Age of the 1950s. But, those days are gone forever. America's ego never allowed it to think of itself as Israel's equal or partner. It had to see itself as superior - in every way. It has styled itself both as Israel's protector and Israel's mentor (to put it nicely). But, those days are over, too. The world is already beating a path to Israel's door for technological and scientific advancement and more and more the world is interested in hearing what the Torah has to say about every subject of human existence.
Israel holds the true light. Anyone following anything else will lose their way. Israel is rising and so Eisav, of necessity, must step down. It doesn't sound to me like the new president would be at all amenable to doing so, but reality has a way of asserting itself regardless of whether we are ready for it or not.

(Excerpts)
...Together we will determine the course of America and the world for many, many years to come. ...We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example. We will shine for everyone to follow. ...At the bedrock of our politics will be a total allegiance to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country, we will rediscover our loyalty to each other. When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice. The Bible tells us how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity. ...We are protected, and we will always be protected. We will be protected by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement and most importantly, we will be protected by God.Historically, America has imagined itself fulfilling the role and mission and destiny of Israel. But, no matter how much they may try, it is simply impossible, because they were never spiritually equipped to do it. Creating a new religion loosely based on ours does not give them the right or the ability.

"A New King Arose..."
22 Tevet 5777
Erev Shabbat Kodesh
Parashat Shemot
"A new king arose over Egypt who did not know Joseph." (Shemot 1.8)
Today, a "new king" arises in America where nearly half of the world's Jews remain in exile. If in Egypt, we suffered like never before under the new king "who did not know Joseph", today, Jews in the United States (and those who live under American domination elsewhere) are poised to prosper like never before. If in Egypt, our tremendous suffering under the "new king" caused us to cry out to HKB"H for salvation and redemption, what does the situation we find ourselves in today portend?
It's a fundamental human trait to forget God when things are going well and to turn to Him only when we hit rock bottom. The Song of Ha'azinu testifies to this as well...
"So Jeshurun grew fat and kicked— You grew fat and gross and coarse— He forsook the God who made him And spurned the Rock of his support." (Devarim 32.15)
It would appear that some are spurning their Rock in favor of the "new king who does know Joseph". But, what a mistake that will turn out to be. How can it be otherwise when they put their faith in man rather than God?

"Leopards Do Not Change Their Spots"
22 Tevet 5777
Referring back to my previous post, it should be noted that many of today's false teachers, all of whom claim to be "Orthodox" by the way, include in their shpiel that today's Christians are not the same as yesterday's Christians. They claim friendship and even "brotherhood" with those who perhaps best represent Eisav and the false world religious system that came out of him. What is worse is that many of them even seem to prefer their company to that of fellow Jews.
Take a good look at what it really looks like and decide for yourself if anything has fundamentally changed. As long as the New Testament is still the New Testament, at the most basic level, Christians do not change.
(And the Jews of America have no clue how much danger they are in.)

A Word to the Wise
21 Tevet 5777
There are many self-styled teachers on the internet spreading a "new" and "improved" Torah which neither we nor our forefathers could ever have imagined.
To the extent that they malign, slander and denigrate established and verifiable Torah scholars which they address collectively and disrespectfully as "the rabbis"; elevate their own flawed and even twisted logic above centuries of da'at Torah; and, cast doubt and cause confusion among the klal on the accuracy and reliability of our received tradition, these people are complete evildoers - reshaim gamurim.
Beware of them. Stay far, far away from them. And do not send others to their websites where they may fall into their traps!

The Real Problem is Always With Us
18 Tevet 5777
All the handwringing and outrage over the UN vote and the Paris Peace Conference will avail us nothing if we don't wake up to the fact that it is we who are our worst enemy.
What can we expect when our own leadership vacillates and hedges and refuses to take a firm, united and unequivocal stand in front of the nations of the world?
Until we merit a leader (and a government who will back him 100%), who is willing to declare once and for all that Judea, Samaria, Binyamin and all of Jerusalem belongs to us; that there will never be a Palestinian State established in our land; and solidify it by annexing and extending sovereignty over it, we have no right to complain about the nations of the world.
On the other hand, HKB"H can and will hold responsible and accountable every nation and leader who goes against His express will as revealed in His Torah of which all are aware. Not one of them is ignorant of the fact that the Jews claim the Temple Mount in the Name of HKB"H and yet, they persist in trying to cut us off from it. For this, they will pay and pay dearly.
Thanks to Yeranen Yaakov, we have access to the paper issued by the French Foreign Ministry which includes a list of those countries who participated. And note that on page 4, the French themselves have chosen to record the number "70" in association with the number of participants. This is just to clue the Jews who understand what that number means as to what is really going on and what is really at stake here.
This is not to be taken as a comprehensive list of our enemies. Some of the worst, including Pakistan, North Korea and Iran did not attend. But, if you were naive enough to actually think we had any "friends" among the nations, think again...

Tehillim - Chapter 2
Why have nations gathered and [why do] kingdoms think vain things?
Kings of a land stand up, and nobles take counsel together against the Lord and against His anointed?
"Let us break their bands and cast off their cords from us."
He Who dwells in Heaven laughs; the Lord mocks them.
Then He speaks to them in His wrath; and He frightens them with His sore displeasure.
"But I have enthroned My king on Zion, My holy mount."
I will tell of the decree; The Lord said to me, "You are My son; this day have I begotten you.
Request of Me, and I will make nations your inheritance, and the ends of the earth your possession.
You shall break them with an iron rod; like a potter's vessel you shall shatter them."
And now, [you] kings, be wise; be admonished, [you] judges of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with quaking.
Arm yourselves with purity lest He become angry and you perish in the way, for in a moment His wrath will be kindled; the praises of all who take refuge in Him.In response to the conference, Prime Minister Netanyahu reportedly said the following...
"I have to say that this conference is among the last remnants of the world of yore. Tomorrow will look different, and tomorrow is very close,” he said at the weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem. Is this an unwitting prophecy on the Prime Minister's part? He is no doubt referring to the ascendancy of Donald Trump as US President, but perhaps he is unwittingly referring to Mashiach instead. Ken, yehi ratzon!

Eisav Has Never Given Up On Reclaiming The Birthright
14 Tevet 5777
But lest you, dear Jew, be tempted to admire this, let me remind you that there can only be one inheritor. The birthright and its attendant privileges and responsibilities cannot be shared. For the battle for inheritance is also over the very character of that inheritance.
This time-worn struggle is between two opposing ideologies and two opposing masters; between Jacob's God - HKB"H - and Eisav's god - Man himself.
There is simply no accounting for supposed "Jews" who admire Eisav and wish him success.

Israeli Jews Expendable Pawns in Game to Move US Embassy
14 Tevet 5777
Someone please tell me. In the greater scheme of things, what does it really matter where the US Embassy sits?
In the real world where HKB"H is in control, it absolutely doesn't. It is completely irrelevant - a non-issue. But, in that in-between alternate reality where many Jews and gentiles alike straddle the fence; where Super Powers reign and it matters that our interests align with theirs, it's a different story.
In that world, moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem appears to validate our claims on the Holy City. In that world, our three-thousand-year Biblical and historic connections are confirmed through the purely self-serving actions of a country that has only been around for 240 years and is already on the skids.
The faithless Jews I can understand, but you have to ask yourself why this move is so important to 100 members of the US Congress.
Believe me, nobody is doing this for the Jews. They have a self-interest at stake. That is the only explanation. For Jewish interests - present or future - we might need to take life risks, but for the sake of some perceived Stamp-of-Approval in the form of the US Embassy's location??? NEVER!!
Today, it's plaque may read: US Embassy, Jerusalem, Israel. It can just as easily be changed tomorrow to say: US Embassy, Al Quds, Palestine.

A delegation of more than 100 members of Congress wrote to President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday, urging him to relocate the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem “as soon as you take office,” according to correspondence obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. And what's more is that no one appears to be taking into account the very real mortal danger confronting Israeli Jews with such a move. We all know how the Arabs are ruled by their emotions and are easily manipulated that way. Our enemies on the Christian side are only too happy to whip them into a frenzy over Jerusalem even though the violence it begets will be taken out on Israeli Jews minding their own business and trying to live their lives.

Jared Kushner and David Friedman - two powerful and influential Jews - are so sold out to America and it's Eisavian ideology that they represent an existential danger to Israeli Jews. God help us!
The US 's move at the UNSC and the coming parlay in Paris are part of an overall plan to impose a "solution". The US presidents are simply playing a nice game of good-cop/bad-cop where the Democrats are traditionally bad-cop and the Republicans are the "good"-cop.

U.S. praises Gaza pullout, says will strengthen Israel-U.S. ties
CRAWFORD, Texas - The White House on Thursday praised Israel's pullout from the Gaza Strip as a bold move that will strengthen ties between Israel and the United States.
...Rice: Israel's evacuation of the Gaza Strip is only a first step
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Wednesday said that while she feels for evacuated settlers Israel will be expected to make further concessions that would ultimately lead to an independent Palestinian state."Everyone empathizes with what the Israelis are facing," Rice said, but added "It cannot be Gaza only."
Now, the most egotistical man on the planet thinks he will succeed where everyone else has failed.
[Trump]...said: Many people said “you can’t do it. I disagree. I think I have reason to believe I can do it.”

Understanding the Long Game: Will There Be An Anti-Messiah?
11 Tevet 5777
Yesterday, I came across a video on Youtube that got me thinking. It claimed that a book written by a Catholic priest in 1907 (and recommended by both recent popes) is actually a "prophecy" about to be fulfilled at the Peace Conference to be held in Paris next Sunday.
The Christians, over time, developed a profile of an individual that they call The Antichrist. For most of that time, the Christian world believed this "Man of Sin" would be a Jew. Some still do. And the antichrist figure of the above-referenced book entitled "Lord of the World" has a decidedly Jewish-sounding name - Julian Felsenburgh.
However, in more recent times, anyone perceived to be evil incarnate (like the present Pope and President Obama) have qualified.
So, how much truth is there in the belief that an Anti-Messiah is out there somewhere plotting to wage the final war against God and His chosen people? And is this strictly a Christian belief or is it rooted, like a lot of Christianity, somewhere in a Jewish source?
Although the idea of Mashiach figures prominently in Jewish belief, as evidenced by its inclusion in Rambam's Thirteen Principles of Faith, it became the central pillar of its offshoot - Christianity. It stands to reason that any persons or forces standing in opposition to the Messiah and the fulfillment of his mission in the world would be termed anti-Messiah (or anti-Christ in Christian terminology). But, if you are looking for a singular person, you need look no further than the Christian so-called Messiah himself.
This is part of a long game being played out by those who worship the Satan as their god, God forbid!
From the beginning of time almost, there have been those who believe that the Satan is not only equal in power to the Creator, but the ultimate liberator of mankind. And those who propound "freedom", especially "freedom from the Law", are among his most ardent worshippers. The core followers of the Satan do not espouse Christianity, but they created it in order to take in those who could not be convinced outright.
Furthermore, they know that HKB"H intends to send Mashiach to redeem the world and slaughter the Satan, so they have spent the last two thousand years setting up their defense which hinges on mass confusion about the true nature of God and who is His Messiah and how the world will be redeemed. They are no doubt also behind the birth of Islam which also has a messiah figure.
At this time, both the Christian world and the Islamic world have been prepped to expect an Anti-Messiah figure to appear claiming to be Messiah just prior to the arrival of the real one. Talk about confusion! According to Judaism, there is no fake messiah to come and fool the whole world before the arrival of the true messiah. But, there are most certainly forces and people who are working across millenia to thwart the mission of the real Messiah and they are anti-messiahs, coming, as they say, "in the spirit of antichrist".
All of this has primed most of the world's religious adherents to perceive the actual, real Mashiach as the ultimate enemy of God, against whom they are obligated to wage war. And that is primarily why there is no meeting ground between the adherents of these false religions and real Jews. Just as their messiah is our anti-messiah, our true Mashiach will be their antichrist!
When Mashiach is revealed to the world, it will be the final birur, the final test. Who will follow and who will oppose him?
As a side note, the Chistians are still looking for an anti-christ who will seal a seven-year peace treaty with Israel. If you tell them it already happened with Oslo, their heads can't even take it in. The Oslo peace accords were signed on the White House lawn September 1993 and it ended, for all intents and purposes, when the Al Aqsa War broke out in September 2000. I think this was HKB"H's little joke with The Powers That Be - that He instigated its end after seven years in fulfillment of their "prophecy".
If Christian "prophecy" appears to be "fulfilled", it's only because "they" first explain the "prophecy" (like the "mark of the beast") and then "they" bring it about. Hamavin yavin.

It's In Our Hands
10 Tevet 5777
We don't have to be fasting anymore. We can end these fasts and all these terror attacks any time we're ready. There is a solution to all our suffering. We simply lack the will to carry it out.
When we are prepared to put total faith in HKB"H and choose a leader and a government and courts which will rule according to Torah Law; and, when we are prepared to destroy the viper nests infesting our Holy City and Holy Land, it is in our hands to do so.
Nothing, but our fear and doubt and lack of will stand in our way.
I've lost track of how many terrorists have come out of that snake pit called Jabal al-Mukabbir. Pack them all up, load them onto buses and drop them in Gaza. Then raze the community to the ground!
Tonight they are celebrating with candies. Tomorrow let them eat cake - in GAZA!! Soon a tsunami will take care of the rest of it.

The Fast of the Tenth
10 Tevet 5777
Tzom Kal
“And it was in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth (day) of the month, that Nebuchadnetzar, King of Babylon came, he and all his hosts, upon Yerushalayim, and he encamped upon it and built forts around it. And the city came under siege till the eleventh year of King Tzidkiyahu. On the ninth of the month famine was intense in the city, the people had no bread, and the city was breached.” (Second Melachim 25)
...the tenth of Tevet — on which the siege of Yerushalayim began, was the beginning of the whole chain of calamities which finally ended with the destruction of the Beit Hamikdash.
'The essential significance of the fast of the Tenth of Tevet, as well as that of the other fast days, is not primarily the grief and mourning which they evoke. Their aim is rather to awaken the hearts towards repentance; to recall to us, both the evil deeds of our fathers, and our own evil deeds, which caused anguish to befall both them and us and thereby to cause us to return towards the good. As it is said: “And they shall confess their transgressions and the transgressions of their fathers.” (Vayikra 26. Rambam Hilchot Ta'anit Chapter 5). The aim of fasting, therefore, is to subjugate our evil inclination by restriction of pleasure; to open our hearts and stir us to repentance and good deeds through which the gates of Divine mercy might be opened for us. THE STATE
7 Tevet 5777
The State that is both loved and reviled by the world has nothing whatsoever to do with Jews or Judaism. It's a shell, a mask, a disguise. It's painted blue and white with a six-pointed star emblazoned on it, but it's not Jewish - not the way are forefathers were; not the way the Torah teaches us to be.
"Israeli" is the modern way to say Israelite and yet, according to The State's definition, there is such a thing as an Israeli Arab. And any gentile, regardless of belief, from any place in the world, is eligible to become Israeli, but it won't make him Jewish.
The whole debate about whether Israel can "remain" both Jewish and democratic is a red herring. It has never - ever - been Jewish.
Are these the activities of a Jewish State or a State that is "Jewish" in name only?
While Holocaust survivors and Chareidi children subsist in poverty, The State sees fit to spend the people's money on such as this...
National Center Planned for Information on Gender Equality in Israel
The Ministry for Science, Space and Technology has allocated NIS 3 million to create a national information center on gender equality.
While proclaiming a desire to establish a separate Arab state (which will be Judenrein) in Judea and Samaria, "inside the green line", The State is creating a multi-national enclave which can never become Jewish.
Report ignored by state could grant Darfur refugees legal status in Israel
A legal opinion issued two years ago stating that any former Darfur resident from a non-Arab tribe is automatically entitled to political asylum in Israel has allegedly been concealed from the courts by the Population and Immigration Authority. Now that the recommendation has been revealed, it can be used by thousands of Darfur refugees to try to gain legal recognition.
Israel-China deal paves way for thousands of Chinese construction workers in Israel
And then, of course, there is the disgraceful UNJewish decision by an Israeli military court yesterday which found a Jewish soldier guilty of manslaughter for permanently "neutralizing" an Arab terrorist-murderer. And all the inane UNJewish rhetoric that accompanied the sham trial.
The Azaria trial and the rift over orders to shoot
...DEBKAfile’s military analysts note that the controversy reflects long efforts to introduce politics – or a brand of political correctness - into IDF decision-making. Soldiers are under orders to shoot terrorists in the heat of an attack – that is not in question, but since the Azaria affair, the army under Gen. Eisenkott, is working on refinements, such as when it is permissible and when it is not.
Both Yaalon and Eisenkott went overboard in their attempt to improperly influence the course of the military trial sub judice by public statements disparaging the accused soldier.
Last week, in pursuance of this campaign, the former defense minister appeared before 1,000 18-year olds about to join the army for three years of compulsory service. First, he rehashed the events leading up to Azaria’s action and his own resignation.
On March 24, he said, two terrorists came up to the Gilbert checkpoint at Tel Romeida in Hebron and started stabbing a soldier and officer who were manning it. But then, Yaalon burst out: “If we don’t preserve our human values, the IDF will be no better than Daesh!” the implication being that Azaria was no better than an Islamist State killer.
This was a move to prejudge the trial and sway the three military judges, just in case they were persuaded that Azaria was not trigger-happy but had shot the prone terrorist in the belief that as a soldier it was his duty to protect the immediate environment from further menace.
The chief of staff had his say on Tuesday, Jan. 3, the day before the court was to hand down its verdict. He declared that he had a duty to “preserve IDF values.”
Our military analysts have searched in vain the IDF military codebook for a definition of “IDF values” among the often contradictory orders of when to open fire. They wonder how a young conscript serving at a checkpoint - and knowing he is the target at any moment for a sudden knifing, shooting, bombing or vehicular attack - can be expected to decide on the spot which “military values” to apply.
There is the UNJewish reaction to the travesty of justice which this trial embodied by (Replacement) Minister of Defense Liberman...
Liberman: I don’t like the verdict, but we must respect it
Only in the alternate reality where The State can call itself both Jewish and democratic can its leaders call for the citizenry to "respect" an injustice of this magnitude.
The only Jewish response that I saw in news accounts was this one from a Shas MK...
Shas MK Ben-Tzur Speaks Out Against IDF Chief Eizenkott
Shas party MK Yoav Ben-Tzur has come out against IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gadi Eizenkott telling the media “An 18-year-old son who enlists is a soldier and not out son” he stated after the announced guilty verdict in the manslaughter trial of Sgt. Elor Azariya, who was found guilty.
Ben-Tzur lamented the verdict, adding that in this case, Azariya is “Everyone’s son and at this time, we wish to strengthen the family, his parents and brother”.
Ben-Tzur lashed out at the military court that convicted the sergeant of manslaughter, insisting his actions were justified. The Shas MK feels that Elor did what had to be done at the moment and act with justification.
He concluded “We are all being mispallel that the way to grant him a pardon will be found as is fitting to do”.
Lest any Diaspora Jew say smugly to himself, "See, that's why I'm not making aliyah. There is nothing Jewish about the State of Israel," he should keep in mind two things:
1) We are commanded to live in Eretz Yisrael which exists for all time regardless of who rules over it or what name it is called by; and,
2) We are in this predicament partly because you remain aloof from your heritage and our joint responsibilities to ensure Jewish rule and Jewish law in Eretz Yisrael.
The State is doomed, but The Land is forever. Soon, The Kingdom will arise and then, Peace and Justice and Jewishness, in accordance with The Torah, will be established - forever.

6 Tevet 5777
Did anyone honestly believe Elor Azaryah could or would get a fair trial? Under a Torah government, there never would have been a trial in the first place. Under the Erev Rav regime, the Jewish soldier is judged by world public opinion.

5th Tevet: Yahrtzeit of Binyamin Ze'ev and Talya Kahane
5 Tevet 5777
Seventeen years! I remember getting the early morning phone call like it was yesterday. Rav Binyamin Ze'ev and his young wife Talya, both shot through the head under a hail of bullets aimed at their car as they were returning home from spending Shabbat in Yerushalayim. By a miracle, the car full of children, including their two-month-old infant, were physically unhurt. They had just dropped off their eldest son at school in Ofrah.
Their memory continues to be a blessing to everyone who knew and loved them. And to know them was to love them.
