  2. There's a great deal to think about these days. Many Rabbis have said people will have to take a stand on who are they with in these times, somewhat like the time of Moshe. It seemed perplexing to me on how such a choice could come about. What circumstances would cause it. Now it seems to be gradually escalating. It began post Oct 7th and people who I believed were reasonable and intelligent immediately cried War Crimes and many joined in.

Many weren't so quick to jump on that bandwagon, although we saw the "Free Palestine" types come out in large numbers. So it seemed we had the rational and radical extremists. Once Israel went into Iran more started leaning towards the anti-Israel side but not very outspoken. I would guess they expected Trump to accomplish "the deal". He is, after all, the "Art of the Deal" man. They began to get uneasy when Trump was essentially given Iran an Ultimatum.

When news came out there could be an Iran operation and aircraft was heading out then the condemnations began. In the aftermath the hatred has been unleashed. I've never heard such hostile rhetoric from these "rational", "intelligent" influencers. At first it was Neocons and the Deep State somehow controlling him. Trump violated his "America First" MAGA, "No foreign war" supporters. But it's not just an "Anti War" position that governs them. It has become the worst Anti-Jew, Anti-Israel position. Those like Mark Levin and Laura Loomer need to be investigated for FARA violations, or more simply, "dual loyalty". Of course now it's some kind of hidden cabal. Just because a person in the Administration has posted some vile Anti-Semitic content doesn't mean he should be fired. Instead, it's Netanyahu and the "Israel Lobby" that is causing Trump to rid himself of anyone against a pro Israel policy.

From the very first time I heard that all the nations would turn against Jerusalem I found it hard to believe. It didn't seem probable yet we can see in real time how easy it has been. It's a lesson that can make it easier to understand much of past history.

    1. Rebbetzin Yungreis z'l said when she was a little girl in Hungary and the nazis came to take them away, her childhood 'friend' went up to her, not for a tearful goodbye but to snatch her doll out of her hands, saying you won't need that where you're going. A small child knew that instinctively and turned in an instant from beloved friend to enemy.

Part of the Jewish problem is that generally we tend to be over intelligent and over educated, and think everything can be understood and rationalised from the intellect. Anti semites are not in need of intelligence or education. They make up their own facts, logic and chronology, and really couldn't care less about the truth. Greta said without a trace of irony, shame or embarrassment that she was kidnapped by Israel and the masses are lapping it up. Most of the world believes the latter day blood libel of 50k dead babies in Aza. There is no rhyme or reason.

The lesson for us, imho, for us to see intelligence and education as a tool, but only that, and to be in a place of bitul to Hashem. If you are in the US you really should be making aliya. The can't syndrome is a lack of emuna.
