My moral obligation to protest with this comment in your important blog. I use to have a blog and make statement to protest every year. But I can’t acces to my blog anymore from my old IPad. Toeba!
It's really so difficult reading about these abominations which take place every year in our holy Yerushalayim. Maybe if enough people would circulate all kinds of flyers emphasizing that those who participate and flaunt this evil have NO share in the world to come. This is not a personal sin but it is a purposeful desecration of G-D's Holy Name. They have no fear of G-D, nor do they believe in Him and their goal is to mock the Creator of the Universe. They must be forewarned about having NO share in the world to come, whether they believe in G-D or not. If it is embedded enough in their minds eventually it will not allow them to sleep nor eat and that will lead to their end which they alone have done to themselves Maybe they have a chance if they do teshuva now. Otherwise, they are Amaleikim. 'goodoverevil'
Maybe all those roshei yeshivot who send their bochorim out to riot over the draft should send them to protest this very real spiritual massacre happening in God's city. Because it is tolerance of this desecration that is keeping us in this very long galut.
In the book 'A Divine Madness' based on the teachings of HaRav Avigdor Miller, it is pointed that European Jewry rebelled against Hashem for 150 years prior to the holocaust. When the hammer comes down , it comes down very hard. Same thing with Oct 7th , and eventually it will with these wicked people. Talking about punishment is taboo in this generation. Instead of trying to protest, which plays into their hands, we should organize a complete emptying of the streets where these demos take place.
True, it's a shanda. I knew about this from before her release and was hoping she'd do teshuva. If I could, I would have gone to protest the abomination parade.
According to a Rav here, two females in a relationship is not such a big deal.... the problem arises if they choose to get married. I'm just repeating what he said, don't shoot me. I am not a Rav, so I can't make these kind of decisions.
It's still toeva because the purpose of human intimacy is the family structure, procreation and solidifying, and bonding a relationship between husband and wife. Secondly, that toeva is solidly linked with the others and they are all part and parcel. Its goal and mission is an erasure of morality, family and society and of course Hashem. CSF
...Sexual relations between women are prohibited, at least on a rabbinic level. The prohibition is explicit in the Shulchan Aruch (Even HaEzer 20:2). Such relations are also mentioned in a negative context in the Talmud (Yevamot 76a).
Additionally, a steady lesbian relationship may be prohibited by the Torah under the prohibition of maaseh eretz Mitzrayim. (Vayikra 18:3).

...The Talmud, in tractate Yevamot (76a) [also Shabbat 65a] brings the opinion of R. Huna that women who engage in Lesbian relations are forbidden to marry a Kohen. The reason for this prohibition according to Rashi and other commentators in Yevamot; Tosafot, Ramban, Ritva (attributed to the Rabbenu Nissim) and the Me'iri is because they were engaged in forbidden conduct and gained the status of a "zona".
Though the opinion of R. Huna that they are forbidden to marry a Kohen was not accepted, it does not diminish the negative view taken towards such conduct. The conclusion of this issue in the Talmud is that though such women are not forbidden to marry a Kohen, such conduct is regarded as a "mere obscenity." (pritzuta b'alma).
The terminology "mere obscenity" can leave the wrong impression as nothing so bad happened. This interpretation is incorrect.
The Rambam (Maimonides) (Rambam Issurei Biya 21: 8) says that to this conduct we apply the verse (Vayikra 18.3) "Do not follow the ways of Egypt where you once lived, nor of Canaan, where I will be bringing you. Do not follow [any] of their customs."
The Semag (Lavin 126, Sefer Mitzvot Hagadol of R. Moshe of Coucy [born 1200]) holds the same view as the Rambam, as well as the Tur (Rabbi Yaacov b' Harosh) on Even Ha'ezer 20. The quoting of the verse is to say that lesbianism is prohibited by Torah law. [See Otzar Haposkim on Even Ha'ezer 20, which quote many commentators (Levush, Tzofnat Pa'neach, Atzei Arazim) who understand the Rambam's opinion that lesbianism is forbidden by Torah law.] The Rambam, Semag and Tur all quote Chazal in the Sifra- Torat Cohanim on Achrei Mot (this week's Parsha) which brings an example of the "ways"of Egypt that a woman would marry a woman.
Finally, the Shulchan Aruch Even Ha'ezer 20:2 says that lesbianism is prohibited based on the verse in the Torah (Vayikra 18.3) "Do not follow the ways of Egypt where you once lived, nor of Canaan, where I will be bringing you." and the other sources mentioned above. The ruling of the Shulchan Aruch is uncontested by any other sources in Jewish law. (Source)
I register my protest as well. K

ReplyDeleteAgreed. If we came out en masse they couldn't stop us all.
DeleteThis Chillul Hashem in Yerushalyim Ha'kadosh infuriates me.

I protest too.
ReplyDeleteWhile on this subject, I was very disappointed to read this.
Is this why we released terrorists? To free her to make a חילול השם?
The Torah says:
כְּמַעֲשֵׂה אֶרֶץ-מִצְרַיִם אֲשֶׁר יְשַׁבְתֶּם-בָּהּ, לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ
which seems appropriate in this case for multiple reasons.
After what she endured, who am I to judge? Except the Torah says not to do it - even to a generation which endured the hardships of Egypt.
Hashem Yishmor. May Teshuva be done by all.

Sefaria: Lesbianism in Halachah
