That is the succinctly Israeli way of summing up the sudden, out-of-the-norm circumstances in which we occasionally find ourselves - "The Situation."
By now, everybody knows what is going on and every other Youtube video and website is covering it in depth. There is no lack of public information about every detail of what is happening here and abroad, so I am not even going to try to keep up with it here. No reports and no updates. What I would like to do is share relevant Torah insights to help us keep on track and not be confused by or perplexed about the situation with Iran due to the proliferating "expert" analyses on offer.
I cannot say with 100% confidence because I lack any gift for prophecy, unfortunately, but I am 99% convinced that what is playing out here is the final stage of this Yalkut Shimoni...
"Rabbi Yitzchak said: 'In the year that the Messiah will be revealed, all of the leaders of the nations will provoke each other."The king of Persia will provoke the king of Arabia, and the king of Arabia will go to Edom to receive advice from them."And the king of Persia will go and destroy the entire world, and all the nations of the world will shake and panic and fall on their faces and feel contractions like those of giving birth, and Israel will shake and panic and ask: 'Where will we go?'"And (God) will say to them, ‘My children, do not fear, because everything I did, I did for you. Very, very possibly, we are at the underlined portion. If you want to know what to expect next, think about how this has to play out to fulfill this prediction given by our sages just for this purpose - to give direction and expectation to the generation who would live it.
This is "labor" in earnest and I don't see it stopping until the messianic era is born into this world. And despite the claims that this could take weeks and now even months (if the US does not get involved), everything is speeding up, anxious to attain that goal.
Based on facts as they exist at this moment, I think the US will certainly get involved - this is ultimately between Edom (the West) and Yishmael (Paras/Iran/the Islamic regime). They sort of have to, it's their destiny, as Chazal attest. Pakistan has already warned that if the US comes in on Israel's side, they are going to come in on the side of Iran. This published statement has been retracted and replaced with China!
[Remember that oh so important meeting the French and the Saudis had called for Tuesday at the UN to support the founding of Palestine? That's been cancelled due to this war.]
This is all I have time for now, but I do have something very special and significant that I want to share in a little bit when I've had more time to write it up. I've been sleeping in snatches of time since Thursday night, so my brain is a bit foggy. Until later...
What I find less than 100% certain or open-ended as it were is if the King of Arabia is indeed referring to the Saudis or another Arab kingdom such as the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and especially from a Midah keneged Mida point of view Qatar given the notable US presence at Al Udeid Air Base.
ReplyDeleteThe US and West in recent years have been unusually more protective with Qatar than the Saudis, even if the latter seemingly appears to be slightly less malevolent than the former due to Qatar spreading its influence and buying Western assets / collages plus their alignment with Hamas/MB/Turkey/etc.

ReplyDeleteIt appears I was right in thinking that when Israel is dominant in actions, as here, the world will align closer to her. Many are now saying Israel is right to defend itself.
DeleteTrump, not so much. I used to believe he was naive but now I think he is just dense. When a culture desires death for a greater reward, what possible earthly possessions will overcome that desire.

Trump is many things, uncouth, obnoxious, arrogant and a narcissistic womanizer, but he is not dense. He happens to be cunning and manipulative, and he also cant be trusted. Everything the gentile nations do for us, is not done out of the goodness of their hearts but for their own nefarious self serving purposes. That goes double for the British, those Sonei Yisroel, who were just criticizing and threatening us over Gaza. They help us with Iran and then they have leverage over us possibly to manipulate us and make unreasonable demands over Gaza that we will now feel beholden to follow.

ReplyDeleteBH we are seeing with our own eyes that this famous midrash it’s NOT going to materialize. Persia nuclear power it’s being destroyed, and in a few days BH it will be no more. Hashem brought the war in the exact day to stop the Toeva parade in Telaviv. Miles the president of Argentina came to Bibi to remind him about his conversations with the Rebe and to be strong because he is the one that it’s going to give the keys to mashiah (I’m not exactly a chabadnick) . If Hashem destroys Persia nuclear power it’s a clear signal that HE is going to bring the geula with rachamim BH. Abraham

DeleteI never imagined that it meant Iran would literally destroy the world with nuclear weapons. It would take them 100 years to amass enough nukes to destroy the entire planet, assuming it is possible even then. The US and Russia have a big headstart on them.
When it says "destroy the world" it's a positive thing, in my view. What they have set in motion by pursuing Israel's destruction is going to ultimately cause the destruction of the World of Lies and make way for the New World of Mashiach's rule - the World of Truth which every holy neshama craves.
