Is Gaza the "Hook in the Jaws"?

20 Marcheshvan 5786

"So said the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, Gog,...I shall unbridle you, and I shall put hooks into your jaws and bring you forth and all your army,...."  (Yechezkel 38.3-4)

...Security sources told Shomrim that the move represents a major shift in U.S. engagement. “It’s hard to overstate the significance of building such a base,” one official said. “Since the Six-Day War, Israel has sought to minimize international involvement in the territories. The establishment of an American base on Israeli soil shows just how determined Washington is to be involved in Gaza and the broader Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”

...The planned base would mark a significant escalation of U.S. activity in Israel and comes amid moves that have already curtailed Israel’s operational autonomy in Gaza — particularly regarding the coordination of humanitarian aid deliveries. Israeli officials said the CMCC in Kiryat Gat is expected to take full control of humanitarian aid distribution in Gaza, relegating Israel’s Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) to a marginal role. Another ominous sign!  Is this White House welcome to Turkish involvement in Syria the payback for Israel's objections to Turkey's playing any part in the administration of Gaza?

Turkish foreign minister meets with White House officials: 'We also discussed developments in Gaza' Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who participated in the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa at the White House, said that during his talks with officials in Washington, they discussed developments in the Gaza Strip, among other topics. Fidan told Turkish media that he also met with his Syrian counterpart, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Vice President JD Vance, Special Envoy Steve Whitcoff and the US envoy to Lebanon and Syria Tom Burke. According to him, "The US understands the need for Syria to remain united."  (Reuters)

HKB"H has a payback of His own coming...

  2. US pivots on Gaza's 'day after' plan; UNRWA avoids sanctions

A new US draft resolution for the UN Security Council, obtained by Israel Hayom, reveals significant changes for Gaza, including the removal of penalties for terror-linked aid groups like UNRWA.

The US is set to table a draft resolution on Gaza's future at the UN Security Council within hours, Israel Hayom has learned, in a move that significantly dilutes the resolution's previous text. The draft will be open for comments for 24 hours. The Americans aim to bring the resolution to a vote this coming Friday, or by next Monday at the latest.

In recent days, the US has introduced several changes to the draft based on feedback from the parties. Some changes benefit Israel, more strongly anchoring the commitment to disarm Hamas and demilitarize Gaza. Others, however, do not align with Israel's interests.

    1. As is always the problem with these agreements, the positive that seemingly favors Israel can be changed in the blink of an eye, whereas the negatives are concrete and difficult to change.

    1. Well that sounds like a great idea....the only thing better would be if we stationed Egyptian peacekeepers there. But Trump has got a terrorist all cozy with him in the Whitehouse, they're good buddies now. How can anyone believe this guy is a friend of Am Yisroel?
As far as I'm concerned he's just the latest iteration of Gog and always has been. The Jews he has around him are props to make him look like he's kosher and disguise what he truly is, another enemy of Am Yisroel.

  4. The way things are working out, it clearly shows us the whole world is
against us, friends and foe alike.
This is the most potent sign of all that our Redemption is very close.
It seems almost impossible to fight against all that is being
aimed at tiny Israel, but just as in the war of 1948 when we were
surrounded by seven armies and Israel with barely any sophisticated
weapons, WON. This is because we have the ultimate Weapon, we
have the Creator of Heaven and Earth on our side! We must never forget that.
Only Hashem will be able to undo His enemies because our enemies are His enemies. The end of old history will soon be gone and a new
light will shine for Am Yisrael forever!
Blessed be Hashem, the G-D of Israel, Creator of everything.

  5. Considering how great a friend MBS is to Trump, he could sway Trump to his side.

  6. בס"ד

Never lose sight of the fact that the nations need to maintain leverage over Israel that the vatican may implement its # 1 objective, to establish their global religion from Har Habayit, Yerushaliym.

They world couldn't care less about the so called palestinians, they use them to maintain leverage over the state of "all it's citizens." In this they have succeded spectacularly because their implanted traitors occupy all sides of the political spectrum.

  7. I think we have to wait and see what actually materializes. For instance, the white house denies any plans to build a base in Israel and calls it false news. Further I don't see it receiving support even from Trump's own party who are already complaining that he's too focused on international issues and not on American domestic problems. As for phase 2, the UN can do whatever it wants, and Trump can huff and puff but Hamas will not disarm and no other country will send their soldiers to do the job. They can't even find a country to accept the terrorists sitting currently in a tunnel under Rafah. There is also a propaganda war, so I say let's see what really happens.

  8. Apparently the "aspirations" for another Arab State is more concrete than some believed, according to YNet.

"Washington also emphasizes the possibility of what it calls “a credible path to self-determination and a Palestinian state.” In this case it will be done via a UN Security Council resolution, in order to bring "prosperity" and "coexistence". He's no different than Bush in thinking "prosperity" will solve all the problems in the Middle East.

It most certainly is destined for failure when it stipulates the ISF will "disarm militant groups". There isn't a single country willing to enter Gaza with a purpose of armed combat, which is what it would take.

This screams out Oslo 2.0, probably even worse.
