Hoshanah Rabbah
7th Day of Sukkot
Erev Chag Shemini Atzeret
It's comforting to know that no matter what happens or how much time passes, the foundation of our lives - Torah and mitzvot - is steady and secure and indestructible.
For [the] seven days [of Sukkot] you shall bring a fire offering to G‑d. On the eighth day, it shall be a holy convocation for you... It is a [day of] detention.—Leviticus 23:36[G‑d says to Israel,] "I have detained you [to remain] with Me." This is analogous to a king who invited his sons to feast with him for a certain number of days, and when the time came for them to leave, he said: "My sons! Please, stay with me just one more day; it is difficult for me to part with you!"—Rashi's commentary ad loc (Source)
Abba Sheb'Shamayim, draw your children close to you, console us and comfort us with Your love and mercy and send us our righteous Mashiach without any further delays!

Chag Sameiach!
ReplyDeleteAmen!
Me thinks maybe we are being tested now to see how many
of us will hold on tight to H' and not allow themselves to fall
into thinking how metzuyan the galut is and that there will be
a real 'shalom' with our mortal enemies.
As we all are very happy that, B'H, the hostages are
freed; may Hashem Bless them with a special healing.
But, we know we cannot let ourselves be fooled nor let our guards
down. Praying for a merciful Geulah soon!
