What are the chances that this would go down precisely when we are reading the haftarah from Yechezkel 38?
This dramatic Haftarah describes the final, apocalyptic stages of God’s redemption of His people at the End of Days. This is similar to the Haftarah for the First Day of Sukkot, Zechariah’s apocalyptic prophecy of the End of Days....The Haftarah begins with Gog’s arrival in the Land of Israel.

The plan is for Trump to arrive on Saturday night between Saturday and Sunday, have a reception at Ben Gurion Airport, visit the Knesset, and take off. No additional ceremonies or meetings.

ReplyDeleteAccording to Israeli sources, U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to arrive on Sunday, but officials are also considering the possibility he may arrive Saturday evening. As revealed by ynet, there is also a possibility he may stay until Monday morning, if there is a delay in the release of the hostages. The visit is expected to be brief, likely beginning with a reception at Ben Gurion Airport. Trump may also deliver a speech at the Knesset. Ahead of the visit, the U.S. Embassy in Israel has requested the King David Hotel in Jerusalem to reserve two floors for President Trump and his entourage - from Saturday evening until Sunday. Due to the hotel's occupancy, this will require evacuating guests. As mentioned, it remains unclear whether the President will spend a night in Israel or just make a brief visit.
Not sure of its significance, but Trump quotes a Xian text, which includes identification as the "Children of God." Isn't this typical Xian belief that they have HaShem's favor over Israel? (חס וחלילה)

ReplyDeleteOver the years I've read quite a bit regarding Gog, who he is, and how he comes about. There has been a variety of explanations but I couldn't see any connection that seemed plausible. Comes now Donald John Trump.
ReplyDeleteThis agreement, ceasefire, has bestowed upon Trump a great deal of clout among Arabs and, apparently, many in the West. I have yet to see any negatives and maybe that includes Netanyahu. Some say he could be MBY.
I read a report from supposedly someone in the know that the document wasn't only including the 20 point plan but had 270 pages. There is a classified appendix that includes plans if all aren't released, even those deceased. If Israel goes in will they still have Trump's blessing or will he be more hostile. Could this be the first stage. So what does Trump DO with this international clout. There is a concern about the clause of a "Palestinian State". Will Trump's ego be such that he will be convinced he can bring the complete end to "3000 years of conflict" by pushing Statehood. He would definitely have the backing of Arab leaders and likely all of Europe. I can see him telling Netanyahu, "take the win" and if he declines, suffer the consequences.
For the first time I can imagine a single person who could or would become Gog, the prince, the leader, one who has the clout of the entire world.

ReplyDeleteI truly hope that this is the darkest hour before dawn, that is hope it wont get any darker, cos the situation is dire. I can't take in we are in 5786 without the geula, without haveing destroyed Hamas, and with a humiliation, surrender deal being shoved down our throats, the last two years have been a total nightmare, one that we haven't woken up from yet. Short of the actual geula, Be'D, now, the only happy scenario i can envisage is that all the hostages will be returned speedily right now, Israel withdraws and Hashem should send a huge tsunami to wash away everyone in Aza. Amen.

Almost correct for best case scenario except the end. Instead of a tsunami, will start up again, and this Israel going and destroy them without the worry of hostages.
