5th Day Chol Hamo'ed Sukkot
Moadim l'simchah!
Moadim l'simchah!
For, behold, I will issue a command, and I will shake all the House of Israel among the nations as one shakes a sifter... By the sword, all the sinners of My people will die, those who say, "Evil shall not approach or come ahead of us..." On that day, I will raise up the fallen shelter of David...and rebuild it as in days of old (Amos 9.9-11).

Regarding reports about an "immediate" release of hostages...
DeleteHamas to release living hostages Sunday if Israel revises list of prisoners to be freed - BBC
Hamas has reportedly stated it would release the living 20 hostages a day before the set deadline if Israel would release two of its preferred seven prisoners.
It is as if Shmini Atzeret is THE day for all things terrible and possibly also great. Right now it feels like we are in the midst of severe judgment. Anything can happen and will. Alternately, 3i/Atlas is on its path towards earth. The shaking could come easily from that. Cheshbon Nefesh seems in order like never before.
ReplyDeleteHere is another sell-out: US Jewish community leader lobbied for prominent Palestinian prisoner Barghouti’s release
ReplyDeleteI’m so confused by all these posts.
ReplyDeleteHow could anyone not be thrilled that the hostages are being released- no matter what!
Imagine if Chas vashalom it was your husband, mother, father, daughter, son etc… that was a hostage.
Would you post how bad this deal is?
Please please think about it
I know it's hard to fathom, but not everything is about the hostages. Some truths exist regardless of them. And they will be just as true whether the hostages come back or not. There is nothing to celebrate in any case until they are actually back.
DeleteI want to ensure there will never be another hostage episode.
DeleteOn a visceral level, this deal is stomach churning.
DeleteIf you want facts, I suggest that you follow Tsvi Yechezkiel , Israeli expert on Arab affairs, who explains exactly what is wrong with it. In short it's a victory for Hamas literally Nazis and the Arabs.
There were other ways to get the hostages back. The kikar hachatufim bunch did not help. Btw, there are relatives of hostages who do not agree iwth the nature of htis deal. The fatrher of one, of them, sorry forgot the name, is very much opposed to releasing murderous terrorists in exchange. It's not at all a cut and dried issue. We cheered for Gilad Shalit, and that deal brought us Sinwar and Oct 7. So it is very much proceed with caution. Be'D all the hostages will be released and we will all be moved by that, and at the same time sickened if the rest of the deal goes ahead. It's called mixed emotions. At this point only Hashem can save us. The truth is that the situation for Jews everywhere is right now highly precarious, and we are in desperate need of the geula shleima berachamim now.
TLDR: it's complicated, let's not be naive
Hitoreri
Everything that's being done is orchestrated. They knew there would be hostages. They might not have known that 'humans' could be worse than the beasts, but they knew about kidnapping.
ReplyDeleteAll this was done for reasons that go against our
Torah and the nevuot but since they do not believe in G-D, they
always think they can outwit even a Supreme Being.
I believe they have in mind a fakestine state and that is
why giving away (they think) parts of our Land to
terrorist murderers is the way to go and is okay.
We must hold on tight to Hashem and know that only HE is
in full control. Hashem imanu! Ain Od Milvado!
