UPDATE (3 Sivan, 7:50 am IST): Hamas Officially Rejects Trump’s Latest Ceasefire Proposal For Gaza War.

Waiting for further confirmation before reporting as it's all contradictory at the moment. One Israeli site claims an agreement has been reached between Israel and Hamas and Trump will presently address the world with all the details, while someone else speaking for the government says no deal has been made. There has been no "official" announcement as of 9:35 pm IST.
Note: The claim that a deal has been made came via Saudi press. Our reports say no deal yet but still under consideration if gaps can be bridged.

All this wheeling and dealing is making my head spin and it makes the government look like a hamster running like mad on a wheel forever chasing his tail and never getting anywhere. That's how this war is being managed. It's like nobody knows how, or else is too cowardly, to take the initiative and really make the enemy beg for mercy rather then dictate the terms of OUR surrender!

Alternate report, Arab source: The text of the agreement proposed by American envoy Witkoff was conveyed to Hamas last night includes the release of 10 live hostages and 18 murdered, half of them on day 1 and half on day 7. The proposal includes a 60-day ceasefire, during which humanitarian aid will be delivered through several mechanisms, and the IDF will withdraw to withdrawal lines to be agreed upon between the parties.
In exchange 125 Palestinian prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment for murder will be released, 1,111 prisoners from the Gaza Strip who were captured after October 7, and 180 bodies of Palestinians will be transferred. (IRT)

With so much attention being given to Gaza, Yehudah and Shomron have mostly been operating under the radar, so-to-speak. I think WW3 is the only thing that's going to stop things in their tracks and provide us with the breathing space to do what must be done. Otherwise, this is what our immediate future looks like...

How soon we forget that Trump already said he gave some good things to Israel during his first term and now it would be the turn of the Palestinians. The constant swinging back and forth of the Gaza pendulum and now all of the uproar over Iran, even the Houthis, it's all a smoke screen for the coup de grâce.
This just in as a final point on the "deal" under consideration: "The US, Egypt and Qatar will be guarantors of the ceasefire, and Witkoff will arrive in the region to finalize the deal’s details."
Hashem have mercy on His children and count all our sufferings as a perfect korban and bring the geulah shleimah immediately!! And so shall it be His will.
Be aware all the hype in the current news cycle about the new miracle laser weapon, approval of 22 new settlements with an aim toward "annexation", and recent successes of the security apparatus. It's laying the groundwork for the double-cross, to make it easier to shove down our throats.

The "Orange messiah" speaks in terms of "peace through strength" but his actions are a refutation of that. One report said that Trump thought maybe Netanyahu was "playing" him. Actually Iran and Hamas are not only playing him but making a fool of him. He mistakenly assumed his harsh rhetoric of "All hell will break loose" proved to Hamas he's a paper tiger. One report says his trip to the Arab countries included no attacks on Iran because they feared retaliation. All this shows is the likelihood he will abandon Israel in certain ways only to make himself "look good". His "Art of the deal" may work in the business world but there are far more complications and repercussions when dealing with international affairs, which he seems oblivious to. He doesn't have to live side by side with the outcome. But in the end he may fulfill Ovadyah.

This could be it, Trump is moving toward being Gog! We need someone like Jonathan Pollard to be leader and stand up to Trump and not be like Bibi who always caves in like a deck of cards! May the Final Redemption come fast with much mercy.

Gavriela Devorah, I agree. The feet of that statue were described as Iron mixed with clay - an allusion to an alliance between Eisav and Yishmael at the very end of days.
DeleteI have my own theory about the two legs of iron representing the Roman exile. That it is Rome (Eisav/Edom) all the meforshim agree. Historically, after it became primarily a religious empire which controlled the political scene, it split East and West. Roman Catholicism took the West and Chr*stian Orthodoxy took the East. Today, the West is dominated by the US and the Eisavian East by Russia.
And CSF, I agree with you,too. While the prophet (Yechezkel) says Gog is the leader of the country Magog, we often hear the term GoguMagog - Gog AND Magog, not Gog FROM Magog. That gives me the idea that the term has another meaning - they represent the two legs (and the two feet). I think whoever is leading the dominant Western power at any given time is Gog. (Like it's a title, not one person.) And the Eastern power is Magog.
For what it's worth, I think Gog is our oppressor at the beginning of the geulah process - as we see, first the British Empire intervened against us in the early part of the 20th century until they lost their power after WW2, followed by America as it rose to the position of One World Superpower. The other leg of "Rome" - Russia or Magog - has consistently armed our Arab enemies.
I think WW3 will begin (any day now) embroiling America and Russia, the Erev Rav regime will collapse, Mashiach will be revealed and begin his work to transform the nation. America will fall, Russia will survive to lead the other surviving nations to bring the final GoguMagog battle to Eretz Yisrael where they will meet their fate at the hands of HKB"H.
It's terrifying to me that anyone would trust Trump after his "Deal of the Century" at the end of the first term. They think because he has a Jewish son in law that he's on our side. We have actual Jews like Witkoff that cannot be trusted. Trump is for himself primarily....his ego knows no bounds. He wants to create a legacy. His narcissism aside I think he genuinely wants to fix the US and if he has to throw Israel under the bus, he's cool with that. He's an Xian with strong ties to anti Semitic right wing figures in the conservative party.

DeleteBroken record alert: Trump is on Trump's side, wants to go down in history as the statesman who solved the Arab Israeli conflict, the holy grail of all conflicts, surrounded by many active missionaries, in any case he could at any time go either way, yad hamelech .... the issue is us, especially frum Jews, do we put our trust in Hashem alone, or do we delay the geula by putting our trust in flesh and blood, becos tragically that is what has been happening, I can say this categorically cos rabbonim have said this. The stanning for Trump and his proxies, especially not a nazi, self diagonosed asperger Musk, (btw read some interesting things about musk's background in particular and the movement of actual nazis to the US, S.Africa, and about the infamous not a zeig heil, not spontaneous, he had been practicing, ) has been off the charts and quite simply disgraceful. Hope Jews are making tshuva. The other issue is aliya, which will never go away. The geula is way overdue. And tragically we have missed opportunities for it. Ad matai. We all need to make tshvua, but most pertinently and urgently on those two points.

ReplyDeleteNow that the hype about the imminent ceasefire/hostage release deal has been exposed as delusional by hamas again changing the terms and conditions, does witless witkoff not yet know that he is being played like a violin by both hamas and Iran? Him and the orange caesar. Or do they perhaps know the script (or wrote the script) and are simply stalling for time until the mad mullahs have enough enriched uranium to maintain their considerable leverage over the state of Israel?
