I said to my wife that these fires seemed very strange, just happened right as Yom Haatzmaut was about to start. But I was so happy when they cancelled everything as I told my wife, my kids don't have to see these events being put on by the Eruv Rav, and the nation doesn't have to be forced to listen to musice during Sefirah.
