Rosh Chodesh/Erev Shabbat Kodesh
Parashat Shoftim
Rabbi Pinchas Winston...
I am God, your God, Who took you out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, to be a God to you. (Vayikra 25:38)Read the whole thing HERE.
The Talmud understands from this verse that as long as a Jew lives in the Diaspora, God can’t really be his God, per se. Dovid HaMelech even went so far as to call himself an idol worshipper when forced to run to Chutz L’Aretz for a period of time. The Talmud refers to righteous people in the Diaspora as “idol worshippers in purity.”
This alone should be enough to shake up Jews living outside the Land of Israel, and make them seriously think about aliyah. The Talmud was written unbiasedly by BABYLONIAN Jews, at a time it was unsafe to travel there. How much more so do their words ring true today, when it is MUCH safer and FAR more convenient to live in Eretz HaKadosh.
...When people CHOOSE to remain in the Diaspora, they keep God and His Divine Presence from unifying. They do, in effect, the work of Amalek, dividing the Name of God as he is said to do.
CHODESH TOV... SHABBAT SHALOM UMEVORACH!!
Too shameful to even be put into words, yet it's a major headline in our news this morning...
ReplyDeleteCan the Temple Mount be a trading card to entice the Saudis?
Seriously?!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteWe need to demand respect! For G-d first, then for us, the ancient people returning to our homeland and to the holy places of our G-d, the Master of the Universe!!!!
This might spur some thoughts of aliyah...

It's Rosh Chodesh, so, of course, the troubles are ramping up, but there seems to be a difference between Pesach, when they exerted complete control over us and these upcoming High Holy Days when it looks like they may be losing their power over us. Maybe the UAE deal sealed their fate and released the soul of Mashiach into the world.
ReplyDeleteQuoting Debkafile:
The coronavirus cabinet broke up on Thursday without making any decisions for the coming festivals over objections by the ultra-religious parties. Coronavirus director Prof. Ronni Gamzu proposed limiting people’s movements out of home to 500m, closing hotels, restaurants and places of entertainment, cutting down on public transport and all gatherings, including synagogues. This near shutdown would be imposed during the four weeks of the High Holidays, starting in the second half of September on the assumption that business activity and schools are relatively inactive during the holiday period and so the economic damage would be slight. The Shas and United Jewish Torah ministers were up in arms over restrictions on synagogue worship on the holiest days of the Jewish year. They also resented the classification of many religious districts as “red zones” due to the high proportion of covid-19 cases there. The cabinet session continues next week.
The insanity going on in the world and especially in Eretz Yisrael where everything gets shut down. It is no wonder so many Jews who want to come home hesitate. They've even shut down travel to Israel; the country is 'literally' being led by Erev Rav amaleikim. Somehow, even the scamdemic seems to have the power of going up or down, by the whims of such leadership. Whatever, we have to believe that H' is in control and HE knows what's in everyone's heart and those who yearn to come will come and maybe there is reason that HE is holding back everything for just the right time. We have no need to fear there will never be a takeover of OUR holy Har Habayit or a 'palestinian' state or any other horror befalling the Land. H will not allow it. What is up to the Jewish people is to do teshuvah (meaning the real Jews) and praying H' undoes the wicked from within and without.
ReplyDeleteTo Anon, yes Hashem is in control, but we are not expected to just sit by and watch. Hashem speaks to us through current events. Pittsburghnacht was a loud and clear message, predominantly through its proximity to the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht, that the tide had turned in the US and that it was no longer a safe place for Jews. At the time I proposed that Jews must start planning their aliya, selling their homes, packing up etc, which was met with widespread derision. In response, I asked what will Jews do if in the future flights are suspended, there are no police willing to protect you, and there is a mob baying outside your home? I don't have ruach hakodesh, just read a little bit of history. There is nothing new under the sun.
ReplyDeleteWell here we are. And with all the hardships involved, Jews need to come home. I don't understand why anyone is hesitating. The "insantity" is happening in the US, breakdown in law and order, the crazies are running the asylum etc, etc. Hashem is turning up the volume. As for how to make aliya with all the challenges involved, just do as much as you possibly can passports, finances in order, pack up your home, etc, etc, just move forward, and daven. Be"D this is chodesh harachamim.
Elisheva I made alyah from France in 1995. Every Jew there thought I was crazy. Now maybe who were laughing alyah woke up and made alyah. Nevertheless it is a privilege to live in Israel they don't understand that. ( I don't speak about the erev Rav state).
DeleteOf course, Jews need to make Aliya; but right at this moment, they've closed the doors to travel because of the plandemic!
ReplyDeleteThen they come out saying that it's getting worse and who knows when this and that will open up. This is all orchestrated to stop Jews right now from coming home. You can smell it. Those who even want to come now for the Chagim, will they be able to?
Esav/Yishmael/Erev Rav are working very hard and fast to undour people, our Land, our Torah... They will, of course, NOT succeed but they are trying very hard to hinder, stall and stop the Geulah, but H' is in control. No Jew will be left behind!
On the other hand Diaspora Jews had 70 years to make alyah and refused to come for a big part of them. So it seems Hashem doesn't give them that opportunity anymore because they scorned the Holy land.
