First it was the war on terrorism and now it is becoming the war on extremism.
Pay close attention to the news today. The word "terrorism" is being replaced by "extremism" - a much broader, more amorphous term which could more readily be applied to a much larger group of people, especially those who heretofore had never been thought of as "terrorists" and who quite possibly had never considered employing any terrorist measures.
Here are a few examples taken from the news just over the past couple of days...
- France Fires First Airstrikes On Extremists In Syria
- Speaking of the Syrian crisis China's foreign minister Wang Yi said ...that nations should stand united against "violent extremist ideology".
- More than 300 children identified as an extremism risk
- David Cameron: "The 'shadow of extremism is hanging over every single one of us' and the fight to defeat it was a 'fight for our existence',....
- Tony Blair says majority in Muslim countries support ideals of extremism
- The Obama administration plans to create a global police force that counters “violent extremism” in the United States and elsewhere.
- Responding to the call for unity, a coalition of over 25 women’s groups and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) has formed a new alliance to counter violent extremism (CVE) and promote peace, rights and pluralism.
In most cases this is referring to the "extremist" political and religious views of "radical" or "militant" Islam, but we can already see where it's going with regards to the Jews here...

Well, you get the idea. Now comes this in today's Jewish Press...
Jewish Security Prisoners Isolated
Jewish activists Meir Ettinger and Evyatar Slonim, who were placed in administrative detention two months ago, have been transferred to a secure wing in Eshel prison down south, according to Galei Tzahal.
Mordechai Meir, who was arrested a week before them, was not moved, due to a court order preventing his transfer.
The authorities decided to move the three boys because they were afraid that Ettinger, Slonim and Meir were influencing other Jewish prisoners with their strong ideological beliefs.
To best public knowledge, the three young men haven’t been charged with anything specific, and according to their Honenu lawyer, the primary “proof” the police brought against them in a closed court hearing, were ideological articles they had openly posted on their blogs.
Muqata commented on this article on his own facebook page: "Next step: Reeducation camp."
But, I figure that's ok, if it comes to that because these boys will just turn the 'turners' so to speak. A commitment to Torah that goes to the core of one's soul can never be turned. They should have learned this from Jewish history.
In any event, Mashiach will soon release all the political prisoners from the hands of the reshaim and make them his lieutenants!
