The Fourth Empire - Edom/Rome - which is embodied in whichever Eisavian nation rules the world at a given time, is compared to the pig. Why? It proudly displays its one "kosher" sign - cloven hoofs - as if to say, "Look how righteous I am." But, one sign is not enough. It must also bring up its cud when it eats, but, of course, the pig does not. (Interesting that the "obesity epidemic" is more prevalent in the United States than anywhere else.) Nowhere is this attitude more pronounced than in the concept of American Exceptionalism.
This is nothing less than political replacement theology which arose out of theological replacement theology, which itself is very far from dead and buried. Christian America has usurped Israel's role in the world and is misleading all those who follow - either by choice or by force.
Like the pig with its outward kosher sign, but lacking the inward one, America is a nation which dresses up in a robe of righteousness, while inside, it is empty and that is no doubt why so many people feel the need to fill that vacuum with food. And that is why Eisav/Edom is likened to "straw" by the prophet Ovadiah - animal food, something to be trampled underfoot, a thing of no lasting substance which vanishes into smoke at the hint of a match. America is not what it pretends to be. It is not what it imagines itself to be. And it is certainly not what American Jews think it is. America excels in pride. That will be her ultimate downfall.
For these reasons and more, America is doomed. And if a Jew calls himself an American and does not view himself as a foreigner living in a foreign land, he is doomed along with it. But, in the end, it will be because Israel relied on America rather than on HKB"H that really sealed its fate.
30 Tishrei 5779 Rosh Chodesh Aleph Tonight, I was listening to a rousing speech from a fictional US politician denouncing nationalism as "the existential threat of our time." I monitor this source because it is one of the most blatant pieces of propaganda in the American media and it gives clues as to which direction the American psyche is to be steered in days to come. After equating feelings of nationhood with Hate and Fear of "The Other," there came the ultimate appeal for tolerance and acceptance, the celebration of diversity and the rights of ALL religions and the proclamation that "We Are All Americans." And the first thought that popped into my head was "We [in Israel] are NOT Americans." Though, no doubt there are many who would like us to be. We can lay no claim to being "self-made," as the Master of the World made us into a nation. We can make no appeal to the values enshrined in a constitution written by our forbears because the Master of the World set a Torah in our hands and inscribed it in our hearts. We actually have to make a huge effort to close ourselves off from those who would destroy us, as our natural inclination is to be open to all. And when we do close ourselves off, it is not from fear or hatred, but out of love, obedience and loyalty to our Master and King - the Holy One, Blessed Be He. As He commands us, so must we do. This was our pledge in covenant with Him - "na'aseh v'nishmah" - 3,088 years before there was an America and we - His sons and daughters - will remain true to that covenant for eons after America has ceased to be. For it will surely come to its end someday just as every empire preceding it came to its end as well. Only the Jewish nation is forever. We are NOT Americans. We are the eternal Nation of Israel.

[Many are familiar with the quote from the Chafetz Chaim about the three wars of Gog uMagog, but how many have heard the whole thing?]

The Chaftez Chaim answered: ‘After this war there will be a pause and then there will be another war and then another pause. Then, there will be another war and with that war the Mashiach will come…the last war will be the beginning of the redemption, and a Torah-true Jew who is completely separated from the non-Jews will not be subjugated, as we find that in Egypt when two people drank from the same cup, one (an Egyptian) drank blood and the other (an Israelite) drank water. I have a tradition passed down from one to another in the name of Maran HaGaon Rabbi Yehoshua Leib Diskin, z”l, that in the final war before the arrival of Mashiach all of the righteous Jews will be saved. Who are ‘righteous Jews’? Those who are separated from the non-Jews! It does not mean that they must be one of the 36 righteous individuals, rather they must be separated from the ways of the non-Jews and have no contact with their culture! Not with their newspapers, their music and books; to be entirely separated from them. Then Hashem will say: You are Mine and you are under a different authority so no one else will rule over you” (Ibid., p.41)
From Or HaRa'ayon by Rabbi Meir Kahane, Chapter 15 - "Faith and Trust"...
...The Jew who believes and trusts in G-d,...will arrive at truth and faith and tranquility, whereas he who trusts in man, in human strength, will arrive at falsehood and tragedy. This is because someone who trusts in G-d will attain the spiritual level of, "Israel shall thus dwell securely, alone" (Deut. 33:28); whereas someone who relies on his own arrogance or on the nations will arrive, G-d forbid, at, "How does the city sit alone" (Lam. 1:1). We must know and grasp this great principle, which is the key to speedy, magnificent redemption, without suffering or tragedy. A brilliant redemption, in which G-d's promise of "haste" (Isa. 60:22) is fulfilled, will come only when the Jewish People are alone, set apart, in isolation, and trusting fully in G-d to defeat our enemies.
Think deeply and carefully about what this means for us... here... today. What must HKB"H do to bring us to this situation? ...the situation we must be brought to in order that the complete and final redemption may come. Think about what Israel relies on in place of HKB"H and imagine those things gone.
28 Tishrei 5779 The main focus of the Third War of Gog uMagog is the war on Torah. Primarily, where Torah law clashes with Western cultural 'values,' the Torah must be forced to give way. This war is currently being waged on the following fronts... * Shabbat - Opening of stores, businesses, the performance of public works * Kashrut - private, self-supervised * Conversion - private, lowered standards (i.e., acceptance of mitzvot not required) * Marriage - private, civil, Torah-prohibited relationships allowed (i.e., Cohen with convert or divorcee, Jew and non-Jew) * Immigration - Not just for Jews * Military service - Women in mixed units with men, women in combat roles; recruitment of LGBT Today, we are further from our goal of creating a Torah-based society in Eretz Yisrael than ever before. Why? Because in the past we were under the domination of the nations. Today, we are dominated by the Erev Rav and the modern Hellenists, all dancing and cavorting around their Golden Calf - Medinat Yisrael. GOVERNMENT APPROVES DECISION TO BRING 1,000 OF 8,000 FALASH MURA TO ISRAEL ...Bayit Yehudi MK Betzalel Smotrich issued a strongly worded letter to Netanyahu on Saturday night opposing the decision allowing relatives of Israeli citizens from Ethiopia, who themselves do not meet the criteria for immigration, to enter the country and gain citizenship. "The government has a proposal to approve and finance the immigration to Israel of parents and sibling of those who immigrate because they belong to the Falash Mura community, even though these relatives are not Jewish by any means," said Smotrich.
This is all about destroying the Jewish People from within, assimilating us until we are unrecognizable as a unique and distinct people. We can't let the bad guys win!
26 Tishrei 5779 Erev Shabbat Kodesh Parashat Breishit - Mevorchim One of the most notable facts that we read about in this week's parashah of Breishit is how HKB"H made order in His universe by making separations...
"...and God separated [יַּבְדֵּ֣ל] between the light and between the darkness...."
And God said, "Let there be an expanse in the midst of the water, and let it be a separation [מַבְדִּ֔יל] between water and water."
And God said, "Let there be luminaries in the expanse of the heavens, to separate [לְהַבְדִּ֕יל] between the day and between the night,....
In each case we see the same root as the word havdalah which, as we understand from the close of Shabbat service, means to make a clear division and separation between two entities...
"...between light and darkness, between Israel [light] and other peoples [darkness], between the seventh day [light] and the six working days [darkness], between holy [light] and profane [darkness]...."
Shabbat - from its beginning and until its end - is not only a remembrance of this fact, but a weekly re-enactment of it. All of the mitzvot are about making Israel separate from the rest of the peoples of the world. They make us different. Contrary to the warped opinions of too many assimilated Jews today, this is a good thing - a wonderful thing - a thing to be celebrated - every Shabbat! Order in the world depends on maintaining havdalah where it is called for and when it is abandoned in favor of "modern" concepts of egalitarianism and democracy, the result is a breakdown in order, i.e. a return to chaos.

No doubt there will still be gullible Jews who will try to claim that this is the nations "coming closer to Torah." That's just their latest shtick for entrapping gullible Jews. The person who put together the book Ten From the Nations thought that, too. Probably still does. But, two of the contributors to her book recently had this to say...

This can only happen when the lost House of Israel regains knowledge of her physical ancestry and the Jews accept Yeshu- as Savior and Messiah. The two go hand in hand - especially during The End Times."
Al McCarn (Christian-Ephraimite): "Bottom line is this: as long as the rabbis deny the Godship and Messiahship of Yeshu- the Nazarene, we cannot come under their authority. Please respect the role of the house of Israel to carry the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob[i.e. Yeshu] to the ends of the earth and proclaim the manifestation of Yeshu- haMoshiach who now awakens and begins to gather His people from the ends of the earth.
The battle lines have been drawn by the Christians. When are we Jews going to wake up to that fact? AWAKE JERUSALEM indeed!
The "Birur" is a major part of events at the End of Days. The word means to make clear, to clarify. In this case, it is a process which clarifies or makes clear where each individual stands in relation to the Creator and His will. The entire population of the world is going through this process and each person is being forced through circumstances arranged just for him/her to choose between two camps - the side of HKB"H or the Other Side that rebels against Him and chooses to do its own will.
As stated before, I believe that the Other Side was allowed to inspire an "UNholy Trinity" to parallel Rav Nachman Kahane's "Holy Trinity" as follows:
* The Land of Israel vs. The State of Israel
* The People of Israel (The Jews) vs. The Israelis
* The Torah of Israel vs. Universal Torah/Universal Judaism
You can see already that the former is defined by the Torah as exclusively for Jews while the latter is defined by the modern world and is an assimilated mixture of Jews with Gentiles. To the extent to which individuals identify with these groups, it will determine the camp to which the individual will be assigned by the Birur. It is quite telling to realize that almost without fail a "Zionist," whether Jew or Gentile, will identify most readily with the State, the Israeli ethos, the IDF and this idea of "universal" Torah. For sure, the Christian Zionists are totally on board with the latter. Like too many of their Jewish counterparts, they idolize the State and its symbols and leaders, and glorify the might of the IDF. And, of course in their view, the Torah and Land of Israel belong equally to them as well. They are even now agitating for their "right" to worship and pray to JC on the Holy Temple Mount! Like their false religion, this position also puts them at odds with their Creator's will and consequently, on the Wrong Side of Redemption.
I hope none of my readers fall into the category of those who not only spurn, but also malign those Jews who cling steadfastly to Torah, mitzvot and Eretz Yisrael as the exclusive domain of Am Yisrael and who follow da'at Torah of the gedolei hador that the Temple Mount must not be conquered through war. HKB"H will give it to us when we are finally free of foreign influence. For had the secular Jews had their way with the Temple Mount, there would be restaurants up there. Had the religious Zionist Jews and Christians held sway in more recent times, there would be a "House of Prayer for Jews and Christians" up there. If we really want to see the Third Holy Temple built in its place with the return of the Shechinah, we have to make ourselves worthy of receiving both by separating ourselves completely from all foreign culture and influence. Because HKB"H is in charge and He very simply is not going to let us have it until that is the reality.
