Syrian Powder Keg Exploding

20 Tammuz 5785

The situation in Sweida has gotten really bad.  The result is a lot of news in a very short time.  Too much to detail here, but I'll share my WhatsApp feed to give you some idea in a nutshell.  Check it all out for yourself.  Seeing the videos being posted of what is happening up there is also helpful to gauging how serious it all is, or you can take my word for it - it's very serious!

  1. Jews must not be dying in large enough numbers in Gaza. Hence the need to open another front.

Those headlines are scripted. They want to convince the populace of the need to aid the poor, suffering Druze, at the hands of the very people Israel aided and abetted to topple Assad. To the extent any of it is real.

We must be close to the end in any case. The lies are so over the top and coming so fast one after another, they must be afraid that everything they've built over decades, even centuries, is unraveling. BE"H may it be soon!

  2. This week's haftarah, "And I said, "A boiling pot do I see; and its bubbling is from the northern side." And HASHEM said to me, "From the north shall the evil loose itself upon all the inhabitants of the Land. For, behold! -- I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the North -- the word of Hashem.

    1. And the word of the Lord came to me, saying: What do you see, Jeremiah? And I said, "I see a rod of an almond tree." And the Lord said to me; You have seen well, for I hasten My word to accomplish it.

You have seen well. This almond tree hastens to blossom before all other trees. I, too, hasten to perform My word. And the Midrash Aggadah (Ecc. Rabbah 12:8) explains: An almond tree takes twenty-one days from its blossoming until it is completely ripe, as the number of days between the seventeenth of Tammuz, when the city was broken into, until the ninth of Av, when the Temple was burnt.

Syria is to the North and this latest clash started on 17 Tammuz. Maybe it is going to develop into something no one has as yet foreseen - going off script so to speak. Maybe something very significant will occur this Tisha b'Av.

  3. I would like the IDF to have full freedom of action to protect the Jewish majority of Erez Yisrael. The only positive reason i can think of for us to be doing this on the ground in Syria, is if we don't some international presence will insert itself in that area to our detriment. This way that area can Be'D be restored to EY. But it's not our job to be the policeman of the ME.

  4. In some way I agree with Shimshon and in some way I know Hashem has His hook in the mouth of kings, and therefore runs His Will through our actions. We are between the straits. Down is up etc... I can't come out on one side or the other on so many issues these days. May we soon see the Wonders He has in store...

    1. I will rephrase the first sentence in the last paragraph of my comment: "We must be close to The End in any case."

They have their plans, but only Hashem's plan will succeed. Evildoers are allowed an illusion of success, but that's all it is, because their every act furthers Hashem's plan.

Well now, ..... that didn't take long at all, did it? So predictable. You might be forgiven for thinking that this was all according to some theatrical script. You can take al jolani ibn jihadi out of al qaeda (and dress him in a 10 grand Prada suit) but you can't take al qaeda out of al jihadi. This latest escalation has that rabid dog Erdogan's bloody fingerprints all over it.

The international presence that commenter Hitoreri mentioned is the bloody Turks and they will also have to be dealt with sooner rather than later. Time to prime the Jericho's.

    1. Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Erdoğan is Al Jolanis patron and he is the real force behind the new Syria. The Turks have bases all over Syria now, they replaced the Russians. They dream of reconquering Israel and reestablishing a new empire. They have videos of the Turks led by Erdogans son chanting that they are going to conquer Jerusalem.
Sweida is a test ground to see if Israel can defend itself in the Syrian front as well. The druze are important because they are a buffer zone between Syrian extremists and Israeli residents of the Golan. We can't just ignore that situation.
Also I heard somewhere that the Druze are descendants of Yitro that would make them actual allies of ours. They are not Moslem, the Moslems hate them and they are monotheistic.
And one last thing, a large swathe of Syria is meant to become part of Eretz Yisroel, this could be how it happens.

    2. I've been reading on Twitter, aka X, that the situation might be a bit more complex than we thought. It appears that the Syrian Druze are not united. In fact, there are 3 clans. Only 1 wants Israeli help or to be under Israeli protection. The other 2 want to unify with the Syrian regime. So, initially, according to Arabs on X, the fighting began with these three groups. The Beduin have taken advantage, so they say, and add another element to the mix. So who knows, other than Hashem, what the heck is really going on over there. And, now it seems we accidentally bombed a church in Aza, killing some civilians. So, this could be the end for us. Moshiach soon??

  6. Scripted or not (and isn't everything scripted by Hashem?), you can't deny the video evidence. The videos coming out from the hospital show Druzim literally having been murdered in their hospital beds! It was like a repeat of the Hamas massacre. I don't think it's about being the policeman. The situation is very complex. The Druze here were agitated and capable of causing significant chaos within Israel. The Druze in Syria serve as sort of a buffer, so in a way we're protecting each other. Western nations were so quick to kiss the hand of the terrorist in a suit. They have zero understanding of the Middle East mentality. Besides, we're meant to go all the way to Damascus. Maybe the time has come to inherit our unsettled borders.

  7. I read years ago that Syria is really part of Isreal but Hashem separated it because when He wants a war to happen like now it won’t be the Jews who would be killed. Malky.

  8. just a thought and memory: the Safed massacre of 1834, where Arab mobs of Muslims, Christians, and Druze massacred about 500 Jews. This was before any dystopian Zionism emerged.
