America: Defender of the Faith

They just can't help themselves.  It's in their 'Roman' DNA.  Despite the US Constitution's bold statement that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...," it has given itself the power - the mission - of ensuring a particular religion's "rights" in countries who never signed up for the US Constitution.

America inherited Empire through birth from Mother Britain and it takes that birthright very seriously.

America's attempt to take on the role of Defender of the Faith occurred in Donald Trump's first term in office.  [See "A Worrisome Trend" written on this blog in 2018.]
...Vice President Pence sought on Thursday to reassure Christian leaders looking for the White House to focus more on the plight of persecuted Christians abroad.
“Protecting and promoting religious freedom is a foreign policy priority of the Trump administration,” the vice president said during a morning address at the World Summit in Defense of Persecuted Christians....
Advocacy on behalf of people persecuted for being Christian is a topic “of enormous importance to this administration,” Pence said. Turning to speakers at the conference who were there to share their personal stories of persecution abroad, he said: “You have the prayers of the president of the United States. The suffering of Christians in the Middle East has stirred Americans to action, and it brings me here today.”
So, this has come up today due to the following write-up in the Jerusalem Post...

US religious freedom ambassador-designate Mark Walker pledged to promote interfaith unity and to combat antisemitism and Christian persecution during a Jerusalem and Western Wall visit on Monday.

The former North Carolina congressman told The Jerusalem Post that his first priorities as religious freedoms envoy – if confirmed by the Senate – would be to advocate against blasphemy and anti-conversion laws across the Middle East and Asia, and to expose and eradicate the slaughter of Christians by Islamic terrorist organizations like Boko Haram in Africa.

At a Waldorf Astoria meeting after the Western Wall visit, Walker also discussed with Dirshu (Torah-learning programs) founder Rabbi Dovid Hofstedter the global rise of antisemitism and the responsibility of faith and government leaders to promote religious freedom and interfaith understanding.

In a dialogue on how Israel and the United States could collaborate to strengthen tolerance and respect for all faiths, Walker indicated that he would seek to partner with the Israeli Foreign Ministry to advance global coexistence and freedom of religion initiatives.

In a time when faith is too often used to divide, we must use it to unite,” said Walker. “The United States and Israel share a sacred duty to defend the right of every person to worship freely. Israel’s rich tapestry of faith communities – Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Druze – stands as a living example that diversity and democracy can coexist. I look forward to working with Rabbi Hofstedter and Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen these bonds and combat the rise of antisemitism around the world.”
Not only does this run contrary to the covenant Israel made with God Almighty, it is meant to strengthen Chr*stianity at the expense of Judaism.  Some confused Jews actually see some value in this.  Some have gone so far as to support efforts to convert Muslims to Chr*stianity in the false assumption that it would moderate their antipathy to Israel.

In the present climate, that's naive to say the least.  Instead of Arabs moderating, we've got Chr*stians radicalizing and spreading the same blood libels as Islam.  Lest we forget, it was the Chr*stians who first invented them.

Following is an example of how Chr*stians have begun demonizing Israel for acts of "persecution" like "spitting attacks" in the presence of a cross.  All you have to hear is that "the Israeli courts side with the settlers" to know these incidents are all made up.  But, today people are all too eager to hear and believe the worst about us.  They just don't like Jews or Judaism and they won't be happy until we disappear from the world entirely.

When you think how much Jewish blood has flowed in the name of their "Prince of Peace" - more like Prince of Darkness.  I wonder if JD issues such invitations to Muslims in Saudi Arabia or UAE.  Come pray with us to Gee-zeus.

  1. The founding myth of the Mayflower 'pilgrims' is that they were fleeing religious persecution, and wanted to found a free society. The truth is that they left England cos they were too extreme in their religious practices for the English, and they wanted a place where they could carry out religious persecution. These are the forefathers of an estimated ten million americans.

Mike Pompeo said on video that he used his position to further missionary work. Even before that the State Dept ranks countries on freedoms, and for them that includes the freedom to missionise. Not meeting their criteria has real world consequences. So yes we are in thier line of fire. They equate anti missionising laws with the actual murder of xns. Unbelievable.

But we can also infer from that that for them missionising is an integral part of being a xn, not a nice to have.

  2. Ever since I found out the American HQ for ceasefire enforcement is located in Kiryat Gat, I've wondered about the choice. I mentioned this thought to my son, and he agreed with me. It makes no sense, given what the stated objective is. Logically, it should be in Gaza or Gaza-adjacent, like Sderot. This is not the place to administer Gaza from.

But...KG is practically the geographic center of the country. There are three major highways nearby, and a primary north-south rail line. It's a logical location if the enforcement were focused on Israel.

There is a good argument that this ceasefire enforcement will be exactly like the Roman ceasefire enforcement was when the squabbling brothers asked them to settle their dispute, and will be focused on Israel, not Gaza.

Israel is no longer a client state of America, with some degree of autonomy. It is now 100% puppet, and this new center is here to make sure it stays that way.

    1. Unfortunately, I have to agree. The only upside (which is a big one) is that there is no longer any need of the Erev Rav regime. This week's parashah details HKB"H's intervention with the Tower of Bavel. He's about to do it again.

  3. I recall in the 70's there was much talk of "end times" and Armageddon. It was so pervasive among some that even Reagan was considered the Anti-X, simply because each of his names had six letters. He talked of peace and Xtians thought this was a sure sign of being the Anti-X, because that person would claim to be a peacemaker. That might have been why Reagan openly courted the Evangelicals during his second run. This is what I somewhat expected when Trump was talking peace around the world.
