A few months ago, I recapped the information I accumulated explaining why Russia was involved in Syria: "Is Gas Really at the Heart of Everything?"
Here is an update and it's both good news and bad news. I'll give you the bad news first (as always).
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov summoned Israeli Ambassador to Russia Alex Ben-Zvi for the strike, which took place on June 10. Bogdanov said that Russia does not want Syria to be turned into a battle site for foreign countries.
However, I suspect that this is just the public excuse for what was more probably privately discussed...
The energy ministers of Israel, Egypt and the European Union signed a memorandum of understanding to export Israeli gas to Europe, at a ceremony in Cairo on Wednesday. The agreement comes as Europe looks for alternative sources of energy to Russia in light of its invasion of Ukraine. The gas will be transferred from Israel to Egypt via an existing pipeline. Egypt will use its facilities to liquefy the gas for export to ensure a steady stream of natural gas to Europe, while ensuring the energy security of all sides.
If you keep up with these reports coming from the Russian Embassy, it would appear that Putin is quickly losing patience with us and is increasingly angry that his attention must be diverted away from his problems in Ukraine to deal with our impudence.
The good news is that we can now see how the leader of Russia may actually turn out to be Gog as some rabbis have suggested and what might be most likely to inspire an invasion into Eretz Yisrael at some point in the near future.
It would not surprise me whatsoever to see Putin claim victory with a takeover of Eastern Ukraine; thereby pushing any NATO presence further from Russia's borders, allowing him to cut his losses there. And then turning his attention to preventing the total loss of European gas markets to Israel. If so, then how far off is Mashiach really?
Another sure sign of the nearness of Mashiach is the bitter end of Diaspora Jewry...
America's so-called freedom of religion has reputedly been good for Jews, but that day has come and gone. Now, its freedom of a different kind is bound to destroy whatever is left of the Jewish religion there.
Judge Declares YU ‘Non-Religious’; Forces It to Fully Support Gay ActivitiesBy David Israel - 16 Sivan 5782 – June 15, 2022Judge Lynn Kotler of the New York County Supreme Court ruled that YU is not an exclusively non-religious organization, and as such, subject to the New York City Human Rights Law (NYCHRL).Following that, Kotler ordered the school whose roots go back to the Etz Chaim Yeshiva founded in 1886 on the Lower East Side of Manhattan to “immediately grant plaintiff YU Pride Alliance the full equal accommodations, advantages, facilities, and privileges afforded to all other student groups at Yeshiva University.”A YU spokesperson told The YU Commentator that “the court’s ruling violates the religious liberty upon which this country was founded,” adding, “The decision permits courts to interfere in the internal affairs of religious schools, hospitals, and other charitable organizations. Any ruling that Yeshiva is not religious is obviously wrong.”“As our name indicates, Yeshiva University was founded to instill Torah values in its students while providing a stellar education, allowing them to live with religious conviction as noble citizens and committed Jews. While we love and care for our students, who are all – each and every one – created in God’s image, we firmly disagree with today’s ruling and will immediately appeal the decision,” the spokesperson argued. On April 26, 2021, the YU Pride Alliance, alumni Molly Meisels, Amitai Miller, and Doniel Weinreich, along with an anonymous student, launched an LGBTQ discrimination lawsuit against the school, its president, Rabbi Ari Berman, and Vice Provost for Student Affairs Dr. Chaim Nissel. The lawsuit alleged that YU had violated its own non-discrimination policies and New York City Human Rights Law. Plaintiffs argued that YU itself had long ago classified itself as a non-sectarian academic institution to collect millions in New York State funds and benefits.Forty-eight associate deans and professors of YU’s own law school, Cardozo Law, in downtown Manhattan, signed an email to Rabbi Berman pleading with him to acquiesce to the demands of the LGBTQ students and their supporters. The 48 law professors wrote: “Discrimination against a student organization solely because of its focus on LGBTQ+ issues has no place in a University that holds itself out as a community committed to the flourishing and equal dignity of all its members. We have a collective obligation to ensure that each student is supported and given the opportunity to thrive, and refusing to extend access to University facilities to this student group on the same terms all other student groups enjoy will prevent LGBTQ+ students, together with their allies, from creating the space to find that support. Particularly as our students grapple already with the effects of a catastrophic public health crisis and deepening racial divide, insisting that LGBTQ+ students bear this avoidable additional insult is hard to fathom.”They added: “Indeed, at Cardozo, where LGBTQ+ students are a vital part of our community, with an active and engaged student group, no such discrimination is practiced or tolerated. We find it unacceptable that our parent University would adopt such a hurtful policy towards the undergraduate student body.”What the good Cardozo Law professors failed to mention was just how many years the gay students at Cardozo had fought and been rejected in their attempts to form a gay club.Plaintiff Molly Meisels told The Commentator back then: “I want Yeshiva University students, faculty, staff, and administrators to know that I am partaking in this case out of love for the university. The institution has so much potential to be a safe, loving, and supportive environment for queer students and allies. This potential has yet to be realized. Hopefully, this case will provide queer students with the club they deserve.”YU responded to the lawsuit by citing its Torah Umadda mission which emphasizes Torah values. It also pointed out the daily religious services being conducted on its undergraduate campuses. Finally, regarding its “non-sectarian” status, YU argued that it is only used in its admissions policy which does not discriminate against non-Jewish applicants. In 1970, Rav Soloveitchik called on Yeshiva University to reverse itself regarding its “non-sectarian” trend. The Rav was worried that the school might not be able to enforce religious observance in the dorms, or require the students to attend one of the University’s religious divisions. One can only hope that YU will appeal Judge Kotler’s unfriendly ruling (to use polite language) all the way up to the Supreme Court, where it stands a good chance to win, thanks to President Trump’s three appointments. I respectfully disagree. Based on multiple honest commentators on YouTube both Turkey and Israel are taking the chance that Russia is busy with Ukraine to increase their agenda and strikes on the Syria territory. The difference of course is Turkey wants to exterminate Kurds while Israel is fighting the existential threat from Iran. No matter, Israel is undermining Russian authority in Syria. Russia has been very tolerant toward Israel under Putin, but since the start of Ukrainian conflict Israel was constantly criticizing Russia and even sent their mercenary to the fight. This is besides the fact that both Ukrainian Jews: Zelensky and Kolomoyskiy are openly supporting and promoting the Urko-Nazism. I think you need to open your eyes to alternative YouTube and non-mainstream media to get the true understanding of what's really going. My understanding is that Russia is truly fighting the Nazism explosion promoted by hot-bed of fascism - European Union. And last time I checked Nazism is completely against the Jewish existence. Finally, Yes, I wish Mashiach comes as soon as possible and brings the truth and G-dliness into this world into this forsaken world.

Keep in mind that the "template" of the war of Gog and Magog was set in Parshat Lech Lecha in the war of the 5 kings against the 4 kings.
DeleteThe Mefarshim (see the Alshich HaKadosh) explain that it was all used as a ruse by the 4 kings whose real target was Avraham Avinu, and this is really a hint/template for the war of Gog and Magog.
It is far too complicated to put in a comment but see the Alshich for more details.
But we learn from this that what we see in the media, even if true, all is not what meets the eye.
Yehudi Yerushalmi
Thank you for the insight!
DeleteIn other words, according to the hints of the Alshich, the war of Gog and Magog where the nations gather against Israel, may initially start out in some other way as a ruse (at least in the heavenly realm by those nations Malachim)

Interesting. Thanks.
DeleteAgree with Israel, the first commenter above.
ReplyDeleteRegarding YU and what is now happening. We know the present adm. is pushing and doing all they can to go against the constitution.
99% of everything that is being done goes against the rule of the actual laws.
Yeshivas have the right to teach as they have been since the beginning, but all the rules of two years prior are being discarded and that is why these problems are now being brought to the courts. Even anti-semitism is being slowly openly accepted. We are very close to the coming of Moshiach, so any yehudi who can go habayitah should.
There are still a couple of yrs under such ruling, so if yeshivas find they have a hard time winning; it is imperative they close down rather than, c'v, teach things that are so against Torah.
Rachamin m'Shamayim!
I fget which Rabbi said it but it is compelling to think that US was the land for the lost tribe. The LAST fronteir, the mini medina bf 1948. Now, we see it's time is up and anyone still there, fighting these ridiculous battles is just plainly and simply a fool.
