Justice Is Sweet

25 Shevat 5785

In keeping with our parsha's theme of justice...
"The Palestinian prisoner Na'al Abid, who was accused of assisting the suicide bomber in the attack at Cafe Hillel in Jerusalem in 2003 and was released last Saturday as part of the deal, fell from the roof of his house in East J'lem today and was killed."  (Source:  "X")
It happened on Shabbat Mishpatim.

Big day today...

Tens of thousands of people are beginning to gather in Beirut to attend the funeral of Hezbollah’s former leader Hassan Nasrallah, nearly five months after he was killed in an Israeli airstrike on a southern suburb of the Lebanese capital.

Roads into Beirut have been clogged with carloads of Hezbollah supporters traveling in from the movement’s strongholds in south Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley.

The funeral for Nasrallah, and his successor Hashem Safieddine, killed by Israel in early October, is set to take place at Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium on the outskirts of the capital, where giant posters of the two have been hung.

The stadium has a capacity of around 50,000 but Hezbollah organizers have installed thousands of extra seats on the pitch and many more outside, where mourners will be able to follow the ceremony on a giant screen.

The funeral is due to start at 1 p.m. and will include a speech by current leader Naim Qassem.
I pray HKB"H will show us even more justice today!!

Saving the best for last...

We like to equate "Edom" with the US today, the leader of The West, inheritor of Rome.  However, Rome still exists and is the center of Western religious power.  We could be on the very verge of seeing its prophesied destruction and the real end of its power.

The Prophecy of the Popes . . .("Prophecy of Saint-Archbishop Malachy, concerning the Supreme Pontiffs") is a series of 112 short, cryptic phrases in Latin which purport to predict the Catholic popes (along with a few antipopes), beginning with Celestine II. It was first published in 1595 by Benedictine monk Arnold Wion, who attributed the prophecy to Saint Malachy, a 12th-century Archbishop of Armagh.

Given the accurate description of popes up to around 1590 and lack of accuracy for the popes that follow, historians generally conclude that the alleged prophecy is a pseudepigraphic fabrication written shortly before publication. The Catholic Church has no official stance, although some Catholic theologians have dismissed it as forgery. The prophecy concludes with a pope identified as "Peter the Roman", whose pontificate will allegedly precede the destruction of the city of Rome.
In other words, there would be 112 popes in total before "The Apocalypse".

POPE FRANCIS (born Jorge Mario Bergoglio) is the 112th pope and is today very near death.  At the same time, Rome and possibly the entire country of Italy stands in mortal danger from a Super Volcano - Campi Flegrei - which is showing signs of erupting at any time.
